  1. Will you take a case of shut the hell up in trade for some of the taste offered for sale? LOL am only kidding but could not resist! ...and yes I did go.
  2. No I am not. I am still pre law but have been kicking around the idea of going another route lately. My wife is 3 semesters away from dental school at UMKC barring an epic fail on her DAT in December. I usually only carry 9 hours/semester and work full time and she carries ~21/semester and doesn't work so even though I graduated '07 and her '08 she is well ahead of me and is slated to be nearly done with dental school by the time I start law school. '85 would put you at L2 or L3 right??? Ditto. I've caught some funny looks pulling into the hatchery parking lot at Taney with my windows down listening to (not blaring) Lill Wayne. That's where the wiggerness(?) stops though. I don't don't partake in pants on the ground pants on the ground.
  3. Are you a 'Roo TF??? __________________________________________ It seems like every time I hit the road for a trout stream I reach for the Jamey Johnson CD, followed by a Johny Cash album. Then that always makes me want to listen to Everlast's Love, War & The Ghost of Whitey Ford which is a smooth transition into the rap collection OR I go to one of my favorite mixes with Skynard, Hank Jr., Jennings, Big Smith more Jamey Johnson and Johnny Cash and others. Some days the mood strikes for some BB King or Muddy Waters and my day starts with blues and the music choice takes a whole 'nother path. I too am very eclectic in my tastes of music.
  4. Very good read indeed. It was like a very few books that I have read in the fact that when I came to the end I was sad that there was not more to be read.
  5. I will start my post by saying I relate to and validate your feeling. However, your analogies are weak sauce and your argument has more holes than cheese from Sweden. You, or your pappy or his pappy did not build "your" stream but "I" built my pool your talking about soiling yourself in. Additionally this discussion is about a change of law, by the same government that ran the Indians off of their land, not people deciding one day that its OK to wade in your creek and doing it, so by your reasoning you should support the law after it is changed by the same government right??? Also, one would have to think that if all streams were yo become accessible to the public that they would also have the same applicable liability laws as the navigable streams now do. Again, I will say that I would be against the law were I in your shoes, based purely on feeling but your argument to back your feelings is weightless.
  6. The serial killer is dressed like his (2nd) favorite bait!
  7. All in jest Wayne. I am only mocking those that always complain about the "fly fishing elitists" that I have yet to meet in my ~5 months of fly fishing. What kind of fishing do you think I did before that???? I do enjoy fly fishing thousands of times more than any other fishing I have done, but I don't look down on the guys that don't. If anything I feel sorry for them that they are missing out on something so enjoyable.
  8. Touché my friend.
  9. Ditto. I would collect signatures for that petition.
  10. Admittedly I have not followed any of the links in this thread, I have not had the time to research the matter. I already own a pair of Vibram boots and am all for our fisheries being preserved. BUT, anywhere in any of these links does it discuss a comparison between cleansed/disinfected felt soles against the rubber alternatives (similar to the "after 36 hr" study performed in NZ? As already covered herein, since there is the likely hood that the average angler would not take the necessary steps for the disinfecting to take place, it would not totally eliminate the risk of spreading invasives, but I would consider most OAF contributors to be above the average when it comes to taking the necessary steps to preserve our fisheries (whether or not they support or oppose a ban on felt) and I have faith that those here with felt-soled waders would be willing to spend some additional time and effort in order to be able to continue to use their felts without (their or anyone elses) fear of spreading invasives - whether that decision be based on performance or cost. I know my self if I hadn't found the Vibram boots I have for literally next to nothing in the BPS outlet I would still be kicking around in my felts (and still bleaching before they were used anywhere other than Taney where I predominately fish).
  11. bwahahaha Funny but not true. There was no mention of a lowly spin fisherman, and you woulda been too busy recovering your lost box of Pinkys before they floated on down stream to confront him about the dunking!
  12. You will also note trespassing is only an infraction if not posted. The law is basically in place so the land owner has grounds to call the law and have the trespasser(s) removed. Cricket, just for you the king of Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strict_liability
  13. Pics or it didn't happen. (this post brought to you by jealousy)
  14. I mean http://www.moga.mo.gov/statutes/C500-599/5690000150.HTM
  15. You are reading that correctly. Just not reading all of my post: http://www.moga.mo.gov/statutes/C500-599/5690000140.HTM Thanks for finding those statutes, I was going on memory from a few semesters ago .
  16. Trespassing sure is a crime of absolute liability. Additionally the land does not have to be marked (trespassing in the 2nd degree). If the land IS marked/once the owner asks you to leave you are commiting a class B misdemeanor (first degree trespassing).
  17. Awesome, congrats to her!
  18. I for one can attest that my Simms Vibram soled boots offer nowhere near the traction of my super cheapo Red Head felt soled waders.
  19. This man speaks the truth.
  20. Welcome! You'll be happy here. These guys have a ton of knowledge which you seek. There are literally days worth of good reading in all of the threads. Look back through them all and I'm sure you'll find more than what you are after.
  21. Those do look great. They must be chiefs or something important with head dresses like that. If you have one more she might do pretty well with a mullet-headed Billy Ray Cyrus Achy Breaky Heart entry as well .
  22. More like the inside lane of a roundabout.
  23. I picked one up at the MDC booth at the Ozark Empire Fair this year. Is basically like a MO road map with all the trout waters indicated and highlighted with regulations etc. for each trout fishery. Not sure where you might source one now other than an MDC office?
