  1. Thanks for the report
  2. Thanks Bob for the report
  3. WM -- RUINED is the word , lol --
  4. Is it just me or are most of you catching lot more short walleye and skinny bass than past years ?
  5. Been in there my self -- hope he gets the customers he needs to stay open , nice folk'
  6. Oh my!! that eye looks best in the second pic
  7. I was trolling one afternoon and lost one of my rods in 20'+ turn the boat around and snaged it back with the deep diving crank bait on my other trolling rod --- there is a God , I've caught many fish with both of those same rods since then
  8. Crappie, the other white meat , I keep all that the law allows in my boat -- just the thought of some fried with slaw ,taters , hush puppies and an ice cold beer -- wow!!! I'm ready to go gett'em
  9. jig head tipped with minnow or crawler , hold boat in 25' and toss it at bank use a real slow retrieve catch many every year doing this --
  10. I checked HWY 10 bridge yesterday (Sunday) water was up and muddy from the recent rain I saw very few white bass carcasses and they looked like they were from the weekend before
  11. I've fished with both JR and Bob , I'd have to also say they are both good and know Stockton better than most --- money well spent
  12. If I remember correctly , there are so many on Beaver Lake that there is no length limit on them . I have eaten lots of them from there and have to say they are every bit as good to eat as walleye
  13. Very few hook marks in walleye Hunter91 cause once they are legal size fisherman throw'em in hot grease , main reason mostly shorts are caught later in summer -- kinda' like kill'in small bucks , they never get a chance to grow up
  14. I've hired many guides in my quest to learn how and where to fish , as I recall only 2 times did we limit out or caught more than a fish or two -- but , gess what it was worth the thousands that I have invested -- I hired these guides to LEARN to fish knowing that we may not catch a thing that perticular day -- a good guide is a teacher , pick their brain and duplicate them , that's what you pay for - because of that investment I have good sucess today
  15. Buster , that's one fine looking walleye and nice to see the picture of it -- definatly a fish to be proud of As for Bass fisherman : its amazing to me how bass fisherman justifiy in there minds that walleye are only for eating and bass are for catching and that a person should be "burned at the steak" for keeping bass --- I'm here to say , it's ok to throw back keeper walleye and keep just as tastey a keeper bass once in a while -- the chunked up batter fried tourney winning bass are the tastiest in my book -- keep what ya' want the regs are what they are for a reason
  16. Hey Boob, just go catch'em all before the tourney guys show up and maybe they won't come back to "your" lake , ya ' need to chill bub , this could be a real good thing to happen on this lake for the locals monetarily and especially for some of us that are students of walleye fishing , just sayin
  17. I'm looking forward to getting more knowledge on how to catch those toothy critters --
  18. This should be very beneficial for anyone that wants to get pointers on how to catch walleyes on Stockton --
  19. Gotta' say those Stockton bass are mighty tasty -- I love to cut the big'ins up in chunks and deep fry'em -- doing my part to help keep the bass pop in check , plus nice to be able to throw some of those eyes back to get bigger
  20. Thank you so much for the report, this time of year can be tricky at times need all the help I can get , thanks agin
  21. Hot n tots is another that does well on walleyes
  22. You'all are making me hungry , I personally throw back all the channels and keep the blues when I'm fishing for walleyes -- those out of a clean lake like Beaver are good eating , the ones that I can just barely reach my hand around are perfect , I fillet'em and deep or skillet fry , just as good as any eatin' place I've been to
  23. I have found that is just the way channel cats are go for the blues the flesh is much better whiter meat and no yellow (fat line ) in them
  24. Hummmm???? --- might be a great opportunity to meet some other walleye fishers like myself --
  25. As for this WALLEYE fisherman -- I'll be very observant of what people are doing next time I fish --- by the way if one of these mutilated fish are caught what should we do???
