Pay: $27,990.00 - $36,384.00 /year
Qualifications:
A. Completed 2 years of study that included at least 12 semester hours in any combination of courses such as biology, chemistry, statistics, entomology, animal husbandry, botany, physics, agriculture, or mathematics. At least 6 semester hours of courses must have been directly related to the position of Biological Science Technician (Fisheries). (A copy of your transcript is required).
B. Possess at least 6 months of general experience: (1) work that demonstrates my ability to perform the duties of the position, or (2) experience that provided a familiarity with the fisheries area of biological work AND 6 months of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-3 level in the Federal service that demonstrates ability to perform fish sampling and identification, and work procedures; ability to perform a variety of field projects related fish collection and identification, gather and enter data.
C. Posses an equivalent combination of experience and education described above. (To compute this, determine your total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required above; then determine your education as a percentage of the education required above; add the two percentages, they must equal to at least 100 percent to qualify.
