  1. I stayed at Four Season's for years, before I got my own place. Nice clean cabins, close to lake(Little Aunts Creek). The owners are great people. If I were to go back to staying at a resort, I'd stay at Four Seasons. Very nice boat dock. Nice pool. You don't even have to leave the cove to have great fishing. Very nice place.
  2. Our condo in Schooner Bay Landing is OK. Had an O4' Champ 201 and an 08' South Bay Tri-toon in dock #30 at Port of Kimberling, distroyed. The motors are sticking out of the water but thats about all we can see. Could have been a lot worse. A maintance man living in a 5th wheel trailor in the camp grounds took a tumble. It rolled about 3 times with him in it. He's OK. We saw lots of severe damage in the area, thank GOD no one was hurt bad in this area. Boats and tackle can be replaced. I was looking farward to fishing next week. I haven't fished since last april. Hip problems, surgery. Thought I was ready to get at em. Guess not. Denny
  3. I agree with you 100% Powerdrive. Bill Babler is the BEST. I look farward to his post almost every day. You can learn so much about fishing the Rock just from reading Bill Babler on this great forum. He is willing to share so much information, I can't say enough about him. You just don't find guys like him everywhere. Don't get me wrong, there are other guys on this forum that offer some great bass fishing info, we shouldn't overlook them, they know who they are. I fished with BB once, had a great day. What a learning experience. I gotta do it again, soon. Sorry, I didn't mean to turn this into a Bill Babler praise post. Powerdrive started it. Denny
  4. I clicked on the link. Loved it. Denny
  5. This topic is out of control. Eleven pages, its been going on for days. My 2 cents worth? I'll use the A-rig, and I won't feel bad about it. I need all the help I can get. Denny
  6. Gosh, this reads like a trout stream site. Had a hip replacement this year, it kept me out of the boat, both before and after. Got a place on the lake, but have'nt been down. Just a couple of times before I realized I couldn't use the boat. I should be ready for the 2012 spawn. I hope to realy learn how to fish The Rock this year. It's a tough lake. Can't wait. PS. I'm makin up some A-Rigs.
  7. Thanks Larry. I might need Josh some day.
  8. I'm right handed. Started bass fishing years ago, got right handed reels, learned to use them but it always felt funny. Somebody handed me a left handed set-up, and that was it. Got rid of all my right hand stuff. Been using left handed gear ever since. Switching hands is a big waste of hook setting time, and just doesn't make any sense. Geee, I wish this forum had spellchek. Denny
  9. dtrs5kprs, thanks for the great post. For weeks if been thinking about making up some A-rigs. After reading your post I think I can do it. Thanks. Denny
