  1. Wow that's a 4 and a half pound average! Great day congrats!
  2. How did your outing go Champ?
  3. I only seen one boat all day, a big Champion with one guy in it white trimmed in black
  4. Got a late start put in at 8 only boat at ramp. Started with a lucky 13 and had a big girl on she jumped twice then came off at the boat looked like 6 pounder but I think we all over estimate when they get off so probably 4-5 pounder. Switced to crankbaits on channel banks and had a ball over 25 fish throughout the day but only 3 keeps. Hit some proven deep water haunts from my past experience and caught 6 goodens all on homemade 3/4 oz fb jig 25-30 fow. Big fish 4.74 Tight lines and CPR
  5. I'm not a big BPS fan and buy all my baits elsewhere but have lived here since 81 and BPS has been open every day of the year except Christmas Day.
  6. I agree 110% Champ! When I'm having a tuff trip I try to stay positive and remind myself someone is on em big time, and ask myself what are the doing that I'm not. I try to analyze are they feeding up or down, suspended or roaming. On points or bluffs, pee gravel or chunk rock. To me that's the challenge that I love, do I have enough knowledge and talent to put em in the boat. Tell em thanks and release em to hopefully catch em again a little bigger. Tight lines and CPR Hammer time As Bo stated I've fished lots of tournaments years ago and someone is always on em. Remember back in late nineties fished the Budweiser tournament and it was tuff, cold front rolled in and shut down for most but Tim Sinato came in with a huge sack of toads that he caught on a c-rig lizard of all things and blew the field away! I'm sure he was only guy using that pattern. Just proves somebody is always on em, I love the challenge to see if I have the moxie to catch the elusive BASS!

  8. That's being resourceful! Congrats with awesome results. I would never think to fish a spoon that shallow.
  9. Great detailed report and good results. As with so many of us all the difference a day makes. The Rock is a fickle lake and throws lots of curves and change ups. One of my favorite lakes just for that reason, when you can put the puzzle together it's a great feeling!
  10. Very nice day on the water and a big sack to boot. My go to bait in the fall big jig. Congrats and thanks for sharing your trip and info.
  11. Great day and thanks for sharing your trip and the pics.
  12. Very nice brownies, congrats and thanks for the pics!
  13. Nice blacks! Congrats on those chunks, not looking for any certain location but wondering what arm of the lake you fished?
  14. My go to bait in the fall is a 3/8- 3/4oz fb jig regardless of conditions. If windy wart and war eagle screaming eagle blade.
  15. About 5 or 6 years ago a buddy and I was fishing out of Indain in his boat at night when a fog rolled in were you couldn't see 6 inches. If not for his new graph with gps we wouldn't of never made back to the ramp.
  16. Dan, you should talk while filming! Seem like I'm watching a silent film from the 20's. Just a thought.
  17. The shad were thick above the bridge but scattered below it. Didn't see any schooling action.
  18. Went with a good friend and put in at 7pm. Fished to point 2 area and back. Found fish on points both mainlake and secondary on roll offs and in pockets. No real pattern fish seemed to be scattered at least for us. W caught over 30 fish between us with 7 keeps. Caught them on 3/8-3/4 oz jigs black/blue and black/red. Caught them in 2-20 fow. All brownies 2 spots and 1 meanmouth . Not 1 black. Water temp 65-67. Tight lines and CPR
  19. It's really crazy what some people will do! This spring someone stole my trailer liscense plate on a busy Saturday at Cape Fair in broad daylight. Go figure?
  20. Put in at daybreak went up the big sac and started on channel banks slow rolling 1/2oz chatter bait caught 2 nice chunks. Went back down under bridge and used homemade 3/8oz brown/purple/red fb jig on channel banks and swings caught 16 more with 9 keeps and 4 chunks. Loaded up at 2pm. Water temp 57.53-60.08 fish were in 3-10 fow. Tight lines and CPR
  21. Went bird hunting this morning opening day, dog and I hunted hard for 2 hours at daybreak no birds. To hot I guess? I'll be trying tomorrow.
  22. Thanks for posting Champ. The Rock is a finicky girl and I have left scratching my head many times. Glad you figured out a pattern and caught a bunch.
  23. That's a great outing! I believe the fish are still scattered making it a cover some water type of fishing. Thanks for posting and congratulations on your great results.
  24. Great reading! Thanks for posting!
  25. Killer video! Dude you should talk while filming.
