  1. www.tablerocklake.net Look under lodging. There should be something for you here.
  2. Eric, thanks for explaining yourself a little more to me. Instead of asking the water patrol or DNR to take care of it, maybe you should start putting pressure on BFL and BASS to take care if it themselves. Maybe you could ask the members of the chamber of commerce of Kimberling City to send BFL/BASS a letter telling them to get a release boat or get out. That way BFL/BASS would get the hint that the people of the area do not like the way they are conducting their tournaments.
  3. Getting back to the release boat posts, who is going to pay for this? I fish a small club that the entry fee is only $50/boat. We would not be able to afford a release boat. Due to gas prices we have not hit 30 boats yet this year, but we have had over 40 boats in a tournament in the past. I am going to fish a company tournament this weekend where the entry fee is $25 (just guys throwing in money). There are over 600 people that work for this company, so the possibility of 30 boats is there. We would not be able to afford a release boat. I hope that you are not targeting the tournaments that I fish and are targeting the larger tournaments, but don't forget about us little guys when contacting your congressmen.
  4. I would have to agree with your report Eric. My wife and I spent the last three days on the rock and had a great time. All though we didn't venture out and try the split shot/carolina rig we did have very productive days with the spinnerbait and grub. We fished from the dam to Kimberling city. I did talk to a few people who were fishing deeper with brush hogs and fries, we were just having too much fun with the SB and grub. All of our spinnerbait fish came off of the very outside trees. They also seemed to be the same kind of tree, birch. We could not catch a fish from around a cedar tree or any hard wood tree. Most of the grub fish came off of the clear salt and pepper, had a few on green pumpkin and one on pumpkin seed. All spinnerbait fish came on a white with green and blue.
  5. I was worried that would happen. thanks.
  6. Hey guys, I am heading down to the rock on the 24th and was wondering if I should fill up the boat here or wait until I get down there. Regular here is at $3.49 today. What are you guys seeing down there. Any prices on Hwy 44 will help also. 2 days of fishing with my wife and 2 days with my father in law. This will be the first time in over a year that my wife will be in the boat with me. I am pretty excited. thanks.
  7. Bill, don't let these guys get you too frustrated. All of the people who read these boards on a regular basis know what you get paid for and are thankful for what you give away. I check these boards every day when I get to work to see how you guys did the day before. I enjoy knowing someone is catching fish even if I have to sit behind a desk. I have been coming down to the rock at least twice a year for the last 8 years and have been reading your's, Phil's, Don's and all the other's posts for probebly the last 6 years. They have helped me find all kinds of fish all over the lake. If I can find the fish using this board so can they. Tell these guys to book a trip or pound sand. You guys who guide on the lake will not lose any respect from us if you brush them off. Phil thanks for setting this website up. This is my favorite web site. Bill and everyone else thanks for posting what is going on at the lake. Keep up the good work. Jeff
  8. Does anyone know if Storm still makes/sells the Mid-Wart. They are still on the Storm web site, but I can not find them for sale anywhere on the net.
  9. I talk to myself quite a bit while fishing. It is usually the best conversation I have all day.
  10. Thanks Trav, Keep the reports comming. I plan on getting down there this spring and try some bass. I have wanted to get down there and bass fish for the past couple years, but the trout have called my name more often. I am just going to have to make a trip where I only fish for bass. Speaking of trout, I am heading down this weekend with some friends to do some wading below the dam. The weather sould make it interesting.
  11. Hey Trav, What is the water temp's on the lower end this time of year vs. summer?
  12. picture added.
  13. sold
  14. Guys, I was wondering, does everyone who fishes Taney need a trout stamp or is it you only need one if you plan on keeping fish? I have heard both but never knew which one was correct. I am wanting to try the bass fishing at the lower end of the lake with a friend. I have my stamp, does he need one? Thanks
  15. Thanks guys, I appreciate the help.
  16. Are there any public boat ramps on the osage arm between the Glaze and the Niangua arms? I want to go fishing this weekend, but I don't want to put in at PB2.
  17. 1997 procraft 17' with 120 force motor. This is my first boat and I have had it going on 6 years now. I love the thing. My wife doesn't mind it either.
  18. I was in room 7 for sept 22,23, and 24
  19. I just had to cancel my room for the weekend of Sept 23 due to family business. If anyone needs a room for that weekend give Phil a call.
  20. Hey Phil, put your web cam up down at the dock and let all of us see who is stealing your stuff.
  21. I believe that a casino boat would help the economy down there, but I still do not want to see it on the lake. I don't think it is a good idea because if they can put a boat on Tanney, soon they will put one on the rock, ozarks, truman, bull ect... I don't want to see a casino on every lake in the state.
  22. I love my breathable waders. They give me more mobility any time of year. As far as how warm they are in the winter. I was fishing Tanney this past Feburary while it was snowing and I was very comfortable. All you need on your legs is a good pair of insulated underwear and some sweatpants. Since in the winter the water is usually warmer than the air, the water will keep your legs warm. Silly thought, I know, but 40 deg water feels better than 20 deg air.
  23. I was at a tournament 3 years ago, also in the aunts creek area, where 4 boats were taken. They cut them loose towed them out into the lake and striped them clean. All they left in one boat were his spinnerbaits. Maybe the MWP could find out who in Missouri is selling the most fishing equipment on Ebay and start with them.
