managed to get out to the Clarence Cannon Dam out of Mark Twain Lake today to chase some white bass, The lake is low, the river is clear, but the fishing was not off. Throwing 4 inch jointed rapalas and sassy shads we managed to find schools and do well, the fish seem smaller this year only landed a few around 1.5 lbs but it was fun and it felt great to be beside a river again.
as an aside i managed to get the fly rod out on some bass in a neighbors pond a few days ago and managed to catch my largest bass yet on the long rod. (15 inches don't get too excited )
