I registered this morning at 9, but was put on the standby list.....life members etc must have scooped the available spots. I have an issue with them sitting on your registration fee until after the event is over even if you don't get in.....poor policy and rare..... sit on your money for 7 months....(cash flow issues?) .

Ranger....Capt. Bill is normally an extremely patient guide and teacher but he has been asked about this so many times he gets a little wide eyed..... There are posts on this forum about the drop shot presentation that are so thorough that even I understood them. We are very fortunate to have so much expertise shared with us!!

The Lowrance phone in service desk has gone from "am I being punked" awful to very acceptable in the last year. Helpful, friendly, and act like they care.... They very much deserved the bad rep and apparently realized they needed to fix the problem!

Fishinwrench you made a very good point about the price of outboards. When you stop to think that a new 250 hp outboard carries basically the same price tag as a compact car it is a bit of head scratcher.....not an apples to apples comparison but the car has A/C, radio, heater, 4 tires and wheels, brakes, interior, etc etc etc. outboards are more than "pricey"

I am planning to do some drop shot fishing over the next couple of weeks and would like some advice on setup. I have 6lb Seaguar InvizX floro in my Lews on a Skeet Reece drop shot rod. Any suggestions on swivel / hook / worm / weight combination? Should I spring for live nightcrawlwers?? thanks, the quality of advice on this forum is outstanding

I have switched over to Lew's baitcaters but I would like to have my old Ambassadeurs put back in top shape. Does anyone know of a reel repair shop in the Branson area that I can use to give these reels some expert attention? And by the way.....if you are in the market for a new reel(s) don't make a decision until you have a chance to test a Lew's. I got my heads up on Lew's from this forum and darn glad I did! thanks
