  1. Yes lets just say corporate espionage is just a pissing match.. seriously?
  2. Yep. They are great.
  3. I don't love that the show is going to over take the books. I just think it's going to have to be very different. I don't think that GRRM will really let the shows completely ruin what is going to be in the books. For the most part this was my favorite episode of the season. yes it was predictable for for those who had read the books. I don't like the exclusion of the pink letter, or the siege of meereen but that's neither here nor their. I don't think they link Daario to the ironborn so I wonder how they will come back next season with that. The only the that I really didn't like is that Jon's last word was "ollly" not "Ghost" seems such a simple thing, and no reason to change it, but whatever. I saw somewhere that we should be getting Winds of Winter next summer or so? Anyone heard anything different? Who knows about A Dream of Spring. all of this just really makes me think we are now looking at completely different stories with the same result from the show and the books like I have brought up before. Back to Jon Snow. He is dead. Done Cakes and Gone. Jon Targaryen is going to be reborn. That's it. Kit Harrington has already had his contract renewed for season six and seven.
  4. A reel is a reel get one you like.
  5. Just like any time you hear "over the back" OTB is not a foul, nor is it located anywhere in the rulebook. I can legally go over the back of some short guy and not touch him at all. Basketball can be, and is a weird sport rule wise.
  6. When going for a shot you get 1.5 steps. I.e. Layup. After you have picked up your dribble you get that first foot down, and the ball has had to have left your hand before the second foot comes down. Explained better: Your first foot that comes down when you've picked up your dribble is your right foot. You have to have shot the ball before your right foot comes back down again, which would have completed 2 full steps. When coming down with a pass you get 2 steps. Basically each foot can come down after you've caught a pass in stride. The ball must either leave your hand, or commit to dribbling before the first foot that landed after possession of the ball comes down a second time. When you have decided to go for a layup, or catch a pass that first foot that comes down legally becomes your established pivot foot. Therefore you have to do something with the ball before it comes down again. It can be confusing for sure. Say you're dribbling, and pick it up and begin to pivot on your right foot. You can actually then lift your pivot foot and stand on your left leg. there is no traveling violation until you've either moved put your right foot back on the ground, or moved your left foot on the ground. While stationary and still this is essentially the same thing that you are doing on a layup. Another example are some post moves you see. Guy pivots, and steps around his defender, he has to shoot that ball before what was his pivot foot comes down. That's not to say that your officials are going to properly call it. Kind of the same concept of players who will take a proper Eurostep, it looks goofy, but they are just using their steps and taking bigger strides to change direction. Disclaimer: I am a basketball official
  7. I've always thought that it was Mance (abel) there in Winterfell.
  8. Olive and Gray have been my best. I've caught a few on small black ones as well. If fish slow down on the gray scuds I switch to olive, then back to gray when they have slowed down hitting that one.
  9. Man I hope that it is the Pink letter. I just think they have already screwed stuff up so much they should try and keep it along the same lines.
  10. Wrong place. This is a part of a conservation area in kc
  11. http://www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/1py3ee/spoilers_all_i_know_the_gamechanging_secret_in/ Give that a read. Pretty good, and provides some good evidence in the case of R+L= J
  12. Excluding the Tournament at Harrenhal is one of the reasons that I think the show is taking a completely different path to the same destination as the books. I know in the show they Kill Talisa, and don't even have Robb ever marry Jeyne Westerling. When They leave Riverrun she is described as being hidden basically from view. I think this is because she is pregnant which will pose an issue later for the lannisters. Your coldhands theory is another. I know in the show they are combining roles of individuals but they aren't in the book. And at this point Aegon is set up to be a major player in the Reach, and hasn't been brought up at all while other parts of the show have advanced past the books. Your exactly right about Littlefinger. He did start that war. I just mean he does everything from the shadows and he has never openly said he wants the Iron Throne. I think the actors got filled in with what was going to happen on the show, but I wonder if they were fed opposite information because Martin knew something would leak.
  13. I think the show at this point really has veered off, and I would venture to guess that the end result of the show may be the same as the novels, but might take a completely and totally different path to get there. Otherwise I think they would spoil the books and I think Martin cares to much about those to let the show ruin them. I really believe he has fed D and D some info about what will happen, but it's what he wants for the show, not for his baby. Feathers, Great theories! Lot of thought put into them. Here is my take (what i love the most about GOT, is that it's not just a set of novels, but a whole world put together, that all of this can be explored) Daenery's: I don't think she can be R+L. Viserys in the early books corroborated that Dany traveled with him from dragonstone. I think it even mentions that he remembers her birth. I think Ned returned Dayne's sword based out of respect and honor to the Kings Guard. However I THINK that they could have been there to guard a set of Fraternal twins, but they aren't Jon and Dany, they are Jon and Aegon. One looks Stark that Ned could pass off as his bastard, the other is too Targaryen for that, and could have been smuggled out by Jon Connington. I think that the KG were there because they knew Viserys had either fled, or died in the process of fleeing, Meaning that Dany was gone as well, and the next king would be whoever was born first between Jon and Aegon. I thought All of the Stark Lord family members were in the crypts but your jogging my memory that it was only the lords. Lyanna Being there really could mean something as she would have been queen for a short time after Aerys had died, before Rhaegar had if they had been married. However would Brandon have ever actually been Lord of Winterfell? His father went to KL because Brandon was captured and presumably killed at that point? Jon: Were Brandon and Ashara ever known to be together? I think this is a possibility but I think that R+L is most likely. I also think Ned + Ashara is more likely to have occured than Brandon and Ashara. I do think this also however is the reason that Ned returned the sword of House Dayne, out of respect because he had a child with a member of that house. It'll be a bit of a letdown when Jon really does belong to Ned and a fisherman's daughter... I do however believe that Ashara is alive, and think that there is a good chance that she is the Septon traveling with Aegon. She is said to have stretch marks on her belly and breasts from when she carried a child. Septon's didn't have children, and this may be the lie used so that she could escape with Aegon. However if she was the mother, I don't think she was ever linked to a targ father. I do think this lends Credence to Ned and Ashara though. Ned took Jon to protect him from the war, and having a child with the other side during the rebellion. I think There is a possibillity that Ashara went and is looking after Aegon in place of her own child. I think that Vary's is the one who actually is trying to restore the Targs to power, but I do think he has his own Agenda. Littlefinger is an unknown suitor to the iron throne actually. Instead of starting an all out rebellion he is using politics and assasination to work his way towards the top. So do you think there will two coldhands now? or does Jon the replace the one in existance. Remember that Coldhands tells Sam when he shows him his way under the wall that he cannot pass under it. I think that if Jon were to be Coldhands he would be unable to do anything south of the wall. I theorize that coldhands is a former NW member who was one of the few whom never broke their vows. This provided protection north of the wall when he was killed by an other. Instead of turning into a wight he was able to still fully operate, however because he had died, his vows no longer necessarily apply, and he cannot pass beneath the wall. I think that Jon does in fact die, but Bran is becoming the new Bran the builder. Instead of building something physical he is building the new world around by warging and influencing events. I think he is going to be able to maintain Jon's body while Jon has warged into ghost until he is ready to take his body again, and be released of all his NW vows. I think he ends up Marrying either Dany, or Val, and truly becomes the King in the North. Final thoughts. Dany is Aery's daughter: Jon is either R+L or N+A Bran does become Bran the builder I think Tyrion is Aery's Bastard. Remember he has one black and one light eye, two shades of hair and everything else. Physical appearances are key in ASOIAF to establish genealogy lines. They know Roberts bastards based solely on appearance. I think Jon is also Azor Ahai, reborn, as he is reborn from ice, reborn from the dead. One of the reasons I think the show is going to take a different path to the same destination from the books now is the exclusion of some characters who are poised to make big strides such as Lady Stoneheart, moving Sansa from the Eyrie to Winterfell. By marrying and confirming that Jeyne Poole is not Arya, it undermines everything the Boltons have done. I also think that Jeyne Westerling is still Carrying Robb's son, who may or may not throw a wrench in Jon's Plan to be King in the North, however it never specifies who actually was older between Robb and Jon, so Jon could techinically be older, and it was him all along!
  14. They are playing well. Tough to beat them right now, but I think they have a good shot of winning it all.
  15. I would assume there are EVEN more than there were up by the dam now..
  16. I think it's pretty much just you, Ham, and I posting in this thread seriously. Lets see it! I don't like that HBO has seemingly made some characters expendable JonCon, Jojen Reed, and others who've died in the show can't really play a large part in the books anymore can they without completely and totally going off track.
  17. With the green dream I think that there is reason to believe that for some point Bran could be the placeholder for Jon's body while he is warged into Ghost. Giving his Body time to heal, He hasn't die, and there is a living soul in his body until it is strong enough for Jon to take back over. I don't think he will just show up in some other way or body though, otherwise it diminishes who he is I think and no one will believe him, or support him if he says who he is while occupying some other dead guys body.
  18. Also it seems a blatant disregard to do absolutely nothing with Lady Stoneheart in the show.
  19. Agreed. It was joffrey solely because Bran beat him . In the yard. i know that R+L is probably the most likely, I'd actually prefer he be Neds and Ashara Daynes who killed herself by throwing herself out of a tower when she lost a child's. Or it was to help keep the secret. however based on the timing of the history it almost has to be rhaegar and lyanna. But of John and Dany hook up its just more of the incest thing, but it could work out well as opposed to the lannisters who basically started a continental war because of it. the dragons are essential to fighting the others, but Jon is essential to Dany getting the support she needs. The other theory for the Knight of the laughing tree is that it was Reed (cant remember first name) . Ned describes him to his children as small, skilled, and pretty much has ceased contact with the outside world. He also saved Ned at the Tower of Joy. Dialogue referenced regarfing that battle further supports the timeline that Jon is really R+L in the tower, and the kings guard while knowing of Rhaegar death continue the secret to their own. these next two books are going to be insanely awesome but i think the history that will be brought up through thwm will be the best part. Question. How do you think Jon survives the stabbing? His wounds are described as smoking in the cold, not steaming. Everything grrm writes has a purpose. I think this means something.
  20. North fork specials
  21. I laughed I think there is little doubt about varys though at this point after he is there during the murder of kevan Lannister. I do doubt (f)aegon a bit, but mainly because i dont like how it throws a small wrench in my dany and john theory.
  22. Let's hear some theories! Is the show ruining the books for us. I detest the stannis in the show, taking the only think that we like about him in Shireen and burning her. However I think this could be them subbing out Mance not really burning in the books. Also didn't love the show lacking Val. Making her die in the hard home episode makes me think she is going to be an expendable character in the books. I do think as we get more john info it's going to surprise some people but I think a lot of people are already aware of the two theories about who his actual parents are. Saw WoW was looking g at a possible early next summer release. As soon as I can Pre order I definitely placing it.
  23. Good dry fly fishing with small caddis and midges. It can get low and very clear in the summer. When the water starts to warm is good to go easy on them for a while. Even a short fight can be the death of some of those little gems. Big foam hoppers on that small creek can be a BLAST when you can hit it right in the afternoons/evenings.
  24. Gravel bars below the High water mark are good to go. Still doesn't mean you won't be harassed by the surrounding land owner though.
  25. Some yellowstone prep for this summer!
