  1. Thanks for the info and warning!
  2. I think there is Big Buoys at KC13. Not awesome food, but not bad.
  3. If you weren't already married to one of the finest people in the World.....I would definitely let you date my sister. Good man in my opinion. Don't joke about my dog though! Grrrrr!
  4. You will probably get quite a few offers for the handsome firefighter.....my sister was wondering about a telephone number.
  5. Something in the air today? It seems that people are a tad bit grumpy everywhere. Andrew Murray wrote this book called humility....well never mind. I appreciate the posts and information as I have said before it eliminates water. It saves me fishing time. With that in mind....this spring Babbler told me how well he was doing on rogues and/or stickbaits and I couldn't catch a fish for a week or so. It wasn't that Babbler was lying ( I trust him totally)....I am just a poor stickbait fisherman. I stuck with it and focused on my fishing and had one of the best days of my life on Table Rock using his advice. The point is.....if someone's advice doesn't work for you, look at yourself first to find out what happened. I hope we don't lose any guides on here. I recommend them on this board and others. The reason I recommend them is their willingness to help us regular stiffs. I implore that we don't punish or single out guides, but ignore the whiners, who expect something for nothing.
  6. Poop! You made me smile.
  7. Sorry for highjacking your report Chris. BUT, I love these types of discussions. Great information and something new for me to try.
  8. Isn't Babbler's White River Lodge down south? I doubt you could go wrong with them.
  9. I always wondered about those circle hooks. The guides use them in Alaska on the halibut trips. It keeps the tourists (and me) from getting snagged as much. It is also a great deal easier to get them out of the fish. I haven't heard of many people using them here. I haven't even seen them on the shelves.
  10. I RESPECTfully disagree with my brother, Whacked. on this one. However I consider him a friend and would not cast stones. I do appreciate the diversity of each and the power of all. Hey Tom, is mall cop one word, hyphenated or two words?
  11. I know you help with the kids every year. Thanks for what you do. I know you have been a great help to me over the past few years.
  12. My thanks as well. I too enjoy your reports.
  13. Sorry about the pothead. Rest of the time sounded fun.
  14. Nice photos. Looks like a great day on the lake.
  15. A friend told me about Turner's Store and the dam off Pawnee Road. The road has a ton of no parking signs, so we parked down the road. There were a few people already fishing and the kids were pulling bluegill out by the bridge. We fished for a bit, but I was uncomfortable with all of the no trespassing signs so we went to Deleware Town. Nice place if it is legal to be there.
  16. Thanks for the tips. We actually started out on the Finley and will post that part on that forum. We went to Deleware town and met a nice couple fishing. We were mostly messing around, but went near the boat ramp and saw something hitting top water. We had worms. bobbers spinners, eakins jigs, road runners.....not top water. The kid and my wife managed to real in some small pan fish on crawlers and a bobber. All in all it was a fun time and thanks to all who offered advice.
  17. Welcome to the family.
  18. Best wishes for Grandma. Prayers said for her at our house.
  19. Thanks. Sunfish would be fine. I was looking at the bridge to the west of Nixa on 14.....current to fast there for kids?
  20. On a side note.....not looking for anyone's honey holes BUT never have fished James River. We are looking for a place close to Nixa to bank fish with some kids. Open to ideas on what to throw and so on. We don't even care what kind of fish. We have a pond near the house and we went down with the neighbor kids tonight and caught some bluegill. We had a blast. I haven't laughed so hard in years.
  21. We are going to try James River for the first time tomorrow night. Best of luck to you!
  22. I like Alex, very knowlegable and well spoken. I can't believe Kory stepped out like that on you. Variety is the spice of life.
  23. Thanks for the information. I have been a Table Rock fanatic for a few years, but growing weary of the summer traffic. Is it as bad on Stockton? You guys have room for one more little Skeeter? I know the wind is a little more ferocious.
  24. They sound like a couple of guys I hear on the radio sometimes......what were their names?
