  1. I checked that derby out and it looks like fun and a perfect one for couples with the dinner! My Darling informed me we are running a 5k tomorrow and a half marathon Sunday so we wil lbe out later in the days. Next year we are on for the Homer Sloan Buddy though. Seems like you get way more than your entry fee out of that! bluebasser.....we should be out after the run.....if you see a little red Skeeter with a 90 horse Yamaha wearing an orange sticker and a pot bellied dude on the front and a hot chick on the back.....say howdy!

    Humbled

    Exactly right!
  3. Unless it is lightening out....it is usually good fishing weather, just not great catching weather sometimes! We are going to try Saturday so maybe see you in Aunt's!
  4. Good people at both places. Use Hydra Tech though.

Going through shoulder stuff myself RPS. Had the MRI last week. Feel your pain literally. PT seems to help in the long run but hurts like hades day of. I am stalling off on surgery because I just plain old don't have time for it. I fish left handed so maybe together we can......never mind too weird!
  6. Water temps starting to drop already?

    New Camera!

Cool beans! Let me know if I can help in any way. Looking forward to learning more about photography.

    New Camera!

Feel a small bit of guilt for having an idea and not having the knowledge to set it up. If you are willing......

    New Camera!

Might be fun to pick one idea every two weeks or so and have a photo posting for that. Such as the freezing the action picture....everyone has two weeks to post a picture like that (settings they used) and compare notes. Course I am on my third cup of coffee and could be a little caffeine crazy! Could be boring for you guys that already are great at this stuff.

    New Camera!

I would like to throw a thanks in there too! Awesome photos!
  12. I would second the Aunt's Creek campground. Two ramps there! Cape Fair is an awesome campground (where I would camp) .....but farther away from the Branson stuff if you are looking at doing that too.
  13. Donna is going to make you handicapped now!
  14. Ha! Way better there than in Aunt's for sure!
  15. Learned to stay off the lake on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day weekends. Hiking and yard work for us. Cape Fair used to be the place to hide but not anymore. Aunt's is busy as people are hanging around the swing. Unless you go way up the James....I am not sure where to fish on the holiday weekends. Good luck and happy Labor Day in any case.
  16. He was gone?
  17. Table Rock is a different type of beast being a very clear man-made lake with a dam that messes with the flow. A guide wouldn't be a terrible idea for a half day to give you a direction. Tons of them to choose from. Don House (always smiling a contagious smile), Bill Babler, Stone, Eric Prey and many I forget to mention often post on here. There are a bunch that don't post much on here that are awesome too....Bill Beck is an awesome choice. Babler's place is way better and more private than Big Cedar so you might want to check it out. White River Lodge. Hard to get rooms there as he is booked up quite often.
  18. Table Rock is a great lake.....but NOTHING TO SEE IN AUNT'S creek!
  19. Nice big bass!
  20. You can say that again!
  21. Last week of April to first week of May. Course we flooded the last week of April this year.
  22. Thanks
  23. I remember when almost no one had depth finders. It was a lot slower learning the lake and finding your spots. Fun and rewarding though.
  24. Sounds like a good time. We were going to start fishing those the last week of April, then the flooding started. Sounds like fun!
