  1. Now I want to go camping!
  2. We lived in Intl Falls for about ten years and loved the smallmouth fishing there! We never left to head down to Gunn Lake. We hated the northern pike when I lived there as they messed up your tackle and were not crappie, smallmouth or walleye. Of course the smallmouth messed up your tackle pretty good too, but we never complained!
  3. Bath water out there! Hopefully the cooler nights and the rain will help some. Thanks again for the report.
  4. Do they always do the cookout?
  5. Thanks for the report. Hopefully the cooler weather and rain will help some!
  6. Wow! Awesome story. Reminds a guy of the important things.
  7. No lightning this morning? Nice fish!
  8. immediately (Instantly), adverb at once, at the same time, at this moment, concurrently, in a moment, in an inntant, instantly, now, posthaste, promptly, pronto, quickly, rapidly, right away, shortly, speedily, straight off, suddenly, this very momentburton() (45) Possessed and possession: The actual and constructive possession and control of things referred to in this Code.
  9. I try to stay out of these cop discussions as common sense tends to go out the window. This one seems to be fairly tame! He did possess by taking a photo of it. I can even give you a good idea of the Officer's testimony. We had received information of illegal spoonbill snagging at this location. Myself and another officer decided to watch the area and see if it was in fact accurate information. I saw the defendant snag a spoonbill. He did not leave the fish in the water or release it immediately, but POSSESSED it as he took a photograph of it. He did not stop snagging in the area where he now knew there were spoonbill, but kept snagging. As a matter of fact he did not move to another location. Not only did he snag three more spoonbill for a total of four, BUT he even called over another guy to let him reel one in! I already tried to give him a break by not citing him four times or citing him for the largest fine I could, but gave him a lesser ticket. I tried to cut him a break as he said he was trying to snag gar, of which I didn't see any. Good luck on the ticket!
  10. You have no idea. He is our resident Super Hero! Saves two or three boats a year.
  11. I think you just grabbed everyone's attention with that word!
  12. Take them out of the paper bag prior to dropping in the deep fryer! You just never know!
  13. Dang...miss ya already.
  14. Churches are losing their air conditioners like crazy. When economic times were good people would steal the cable out of houses and from the highline poles. Economic times are not to awesome right now and people are stealing anything not nailed down and even from churches. Not sure it is going to get better any time soon. Takes me less than 5 minutes to drop the boat off the trailer.....one of the many reasons I don't spend 1000s on a slip and carry everything in and out to include the lower end unit!
  15. Good weights. I intend to fish that tournament, just haven't been out enough to drop the cash on the tourney yet.

    Hello

    Welcome!
  17. Every year I look at a bigger boat, but end up staying with the smaller Skeeter and 90 horse Yamaha. I also end up with smaller boat payments and less gas bill. I look at the Champion and Phoenix the most. Phoenix came up with great ideas for storage and made a smaller boat feel huge. It will probably be my next boat if there is ever one and I can put the pennies together. Nothing to take away from any other manufacturer as they all have great things and not so great things. Ranger is still the Cadillac of fishing in my opinion as it fishes awesome But it is heavier and not so sweet on the fast ride. Some of the faster rides don't fish as well as a Ranger but nicer ride on the way to the fishing spot. In a Ranger...two fat dudes can stand in the same side of the boat without it tipping too much. Champion and Skeeter are kind of tweeners......not to bad on the ride there and not to bad on the fishing part. I have only ridden in one Phoenix and sure wouldn't mind owning one! Nitros and bass trackers let some folks get into boats that sometimes wouldn't be able to. Thanks to them for that! Seems there is a boat for everyone. If not for my boat....I would fish out of an intertube, skiff, or the bank. I hate driving around and seeing boats sitting in yards day after day. That part is a sin somehow. God made the Earth for us to enjoy.
  18. Great weights for this heat and time of the year!
  19. Welcome to the forum.
  20. Welcome to the brotherhood. What lake you fish usually? I bet you will have quite a few takers on the fishing!
  21. Too late! My fault though....sorry:innocent:
  22. That sucks!
  23. I will wait until you get back and do the boat post but one of the cool things about the Phoenix is the way they do storage and make the boat bigger. If that made any sense?
  24. I like the charity tournaments. Everyone comes out for fun and it is a good cause. Thanks for posting them.
  25. Hang in there brother!
