I haven't fished since Sunday morning I have watched the river turn low and beautiful. I'm going out after supper

It still matters to me. I get tired of fishing the fast flow. Sometimes I park the boat and get out to enjoy the relaxation of not fighting the fast flow and worrying about tearing my stuff up. The fish are more predictable at certain flows though. ( that's a clue by the way)

Water temp 76. Visibility 2'. It's still up 6" above normal I would say it's prime for good numbers fishing and might stumble on a big one too. Walleye and whites are biting like they should be.

Geeeeezzzzzzz! Visibility= 2". Gonna go for it. It's actually up 2' but very dirty. Sick of it. They are hungry though.

The river is consistently murky all this year. Only a couple weeks of perfect water since December flood. I'm guessing I have caught 40 fish 18" or bigger since December so........... I guess I'm a dirty water fisherman? Headed to Osage right now for something different.

Here's why I don't trust their data. 3 weeks ago I was fishing along a riffle when a boat with biologists and students came down shocking fish. They were making a joke of it somewhat until I yelled at them a little about tossing fish in the fish in the boat like they were picking up trash I asked them if they shocked up any big walleye. They said walleye are very rare and said no we didn't shock any up. I looked at my brother in disbelief. We fell down to the gravel dump and caught 2 healthy specimens immediately. These guys are total idiots. I'm sorry to who I might offend. I've seen 14 year old kids with more knowledge than these supposed experts.

I took a short run by my house, stclair area, 1' visibility and up 1'. Topwater bite and crank bait bite.

Exceed expectations! Why not? That's my goal every single day when I head out the door.

Meramec should extend below robertsville.

Update! River looks awesome and is fishing great !! No pics but caught some beasts and a lot of walleyes.

I can't remember the river being up and or dirty for this long. It's not gonna be pretty again til next week around stclair.

We had some good walleye too.

I'm agreeing with you. I'm equally disheartened by both sides. I can say the trash is about all I can take though I'm sick and tired of bottles on my property ! Idiots in jets? Oh yeah , that's a definite problem too. River pros don't shoot rooster tails though. It takes a power trim system that doesn't really work on that type of boat setup I'm thankful that 95% of the people that use the river are not fishing.

Woke up at 4:30 am to light rain Grabbed rain gear and figured to try for walleye. Pulled rig down to river to find a giant tree over my road. Had to back 200 yards up a steep narrow road with a deep ditch on one side. After several restarts figured I'd put in at Redhorse since it's only a half mile from my house. Pulled into Redhorse and I see a form of a person halfway down road laying in middle of road. Awesome! I think to myself. Another obstacle and possible confrontation! I pull up and it's a drunk Mexican with a broken leg. His two buddies appear from the brush and I proceed to explain how bad this could go for them if they try any monkey business. They beg for a ride and I say hop in the back boys. Now I'm driving these fellows all the way to town so I fill up the boat and truck while I'm there and head back to Redhorse. Now it's like 6:30 and I'm pissed. Missed the early walleye bite. Long story short caught 5 over 12" and lost a gigantic Smallie on a wtd bait.

Get er done buddy.
