It's good to see the thoughts running around in your heads. I don't have a good answer to the obvious problem. I have gigged for 30 years and it's a blast I've accident ly stuck small bass I don't target big fish cause I only eat little suckers anyway. It happens though. No ifs ands or buts
Local old timer told me yesterday that the bass took a beating this year cause of dirty water conditions people weren't able to identify their targets I agree.
That pretty much covered it Unfortunately I've fished with guys who like to chuck fish like its a game I prolly eat more fish than most. But if I'm letting em go I do it fast. Fast is key imo.
Ummmmm........ What happened to this forum ? It got hijacked ? Who are these people and what's wrong with them ? God help us all if some of these folks are in a authoritive position. Especially if they are training the next generation to such ludicrousness. Sorry.
I'll take smalliebigs on a date anyday! We've been on a bunch already. I've never been offended by him. Not once. He speaks his mind. Oh well. He's right a vast majority of the time too I pick a extreme conservative with a foul mouth and a good heart over a liberal any day of the week. If you haven't guessed yet, I'm a conservative Christian. I guess I'll be attacked now.
Go to the gravois bridge and look downstream! It was on the news again last night also. They didn't show it going into the river though. If they did I think more people would be freaking out. I can't see how the walleye, whites, and spoonbill that make their spawning runs up the meramec will come through that wall of muck Will this be a long term fishery issue ???
I hope the 25 or so boats that normally snag at Goerge winter will have a back up plan. I'm pretty sure this will clean the fish out. I don't see any way that it could be liveable. The smell of ammonia alone was bad. I'm getting so fing mad thinking about it. Someone do something?
I went down that way today and it was the nastiest mess I've seen. Stop you dead in your tracks smell. Terds toilet paper trash hygiene products all gushing into the river at an alarming rate. I would not fish below gravois bridge. Not even sure fish could survive in it. Yeah it was that bad.
I agree. This past Decembers flood was very high cold water. I've had to abandon some usual spots for holes with current breaks that would stay slack up to the high water. I find myself looking high on the banks for where I'd imagine fish being able to sit still effortlessly
Your not a fence post. Whoever I called that. This is my only forum I've ever looked at and I think it's a cool one I've met some really nice guys and have gathered Intel to head to far off destinations that I'd of never dreamed of going without firsthand info to go on. (Seth Turner) to name one. Everyone who is mad needs to take off work tomorrow and go fishing.
