  1. I guess I've been watching to much discovery channel and seeing these foreign invaders killing native bees. I grew up around bees as a kid and always kept in my memory every hive in every tree I found across miles of ozark ridges I hunted for squirrels I purposely routed my squirrel jaunts to check em yearly and see which ones had been raided.
  2. The river is finally down and pretty clean. Wow what a run of floods. No whites to speak of but I think the water is cool enough that they haven't pocketed in the high oxygen areas yet. Smallies have been awesome from daylight til 8:30 then nothing all day. And that's coming from me being on the water off and on all day since Friday. I've fished from below 30 bridge to hey 185 bridge. Walleye . Yes is all I can say.
  3. It looked like bald faced hornets swarming the den hole and honey bees that were chopped up were falling everywhere. I love honey bees so it was pissing me off.
  4. Lock it out Phil
  5. Ham, That's a perfect response.
  6. I figured it would get locked. I was wrong I guess.
  7. I thought there was a bee guy on this forum
  8. It looked like hornets. They were murdering the honey bees at an alarming rate. The sunfish were capitalizing on the wounded

    Honey bees

question about bees. We were tied off under a giant sycamore yesterday. There was a hole in it where honey bees were under attack but we couldn't identify the killers cause it was up to high but they were falling in and around our boat missing wings and body parts. Kinda sad.
  10. Lock it
  11. I seen a confederate flag flying on the back of a jet boat yesterday. It was a 150 hp to add to your dismay So you would stereotype this guy as bad for our society because what you have in your head as bad I wouldn't give you the time of day if I seen you float by but I would guarantee you this flag flying guy would risk his life for anyone black ,white, gay or even a idiot in a canoe with no idea of what a God fearing family man looks like
  12. I work in stlouis and surrounding areas everyday and sometimes I deal with confrontational people and I purposely leave my gun at home when I think I'm gonna have issues. Some people have the fairy tale dream life where " it's all good man " Not me. I would rather run or punch , kick and bite my way out of a situation but I would defend any innocent victim anyway I could. Even some of you idiots.
  13. That's a nice mess of hybrids. The top water bite has been killer there. I left them on top twice last weekend to get back before I got throttled by hungry family waiting on me.
  14. I'm just always thankful that 95% of those (motor heads) don't have a fishing pole in their boat. As frustrating as they are to me and mine I always think to myself, it's their river too I have really only had problems with foul mouthed intoxicated floaters. They were definitely non fisherman as well. One last point from me - faster you go the less wake u make. If I'm floating and fishing I wave boats by and give them the hammer down gesture. Just get the heck by and keep going. Please
  15. What a mess. Fish are getting a break though. Walleye are growing
  16. If you love a crankbait bite you need to get your hind end over here.
  17. We could see our feet while swimming off point 03. Top water bite and trolling cranks. 20 to 75' deep. Whites were on shad fry that are pretty big now. Hybrids were hunting down big gizzard shad and making them pay for running. It was a weird bite on top water cause it wasn't a explosive fast bite. We saw an occasional giant hunting down a particular gizzard shad until he caught it. So we carpet bombed the area with top water baits for 2 1/2 hours it never stopped. We had a triple at one time all over 6 lbs. what fun. I love Truman.
  18. We caught the best hybrids in the evening. 10 lbs was biggest but lots between 5 and 7.
  19. As of now not letting any out but the fish are getting settled into all there new homes and top water is king
  20. I didn't catch any big ones my brother caught all big ones. His turn I guess. My turn next I hope .
  21. 70 degree water is a rare treat for this time of year. We ran all the way to Sullivan though to find clean water. 19 and 21" Smallie on crankbaits with lots of numbers.
  22. Money sucks.
  23. Blowed out
