You just never know. I put in at 5:30 am at valley park access and fished for 3 hours and caught one spot. My brother went back out at 6 in the evening at red horse and went up and tore up some nice smallies. River just won't clear up. At least there is no dog day moss like every other August. I'm just getting out of church and puttin in at 30 bridge. Let you know later what happens.

I vote #2. 75degree water. Top water. Cranks. Soft plastic. Who cares about traffic. Those people ain't fishing anyway. River is clean and down. Perfect. Water patrol is almost always staked out on that stretch

Got rained out this morning so put my brothers river pro in by my shop and went down river. 74 degree water. No dog day scum coating our crainkbaits! Guess we are not gonna get that this summer. One nice spot lots of smallies.

Two idiot canoers shooting pistols at (turtles) all the way through (my) stretch of river Saturday morn. They had a costly take out point . Sorry about that but I had to call in the heat. Another gun incident down below river round Saturday afternoon according to warden buddy. They shooting at water to see the effect. Could be a select group of knuckleheads continually acting out. Make it costly for them and they stop? Lets hope.

I have never been checked by water patrol in twenty plus years. Only seen em twice on meramec by me. They used to hide in woods along my creek when I was at the height of my trespasser problems. Since I've been on this forum I have started talking to more fisherman on the water and have found that very few are locals. I think it's cool that people will travel to come fish this river in my back yard. Yeah it's (my) back yard! It's mine. I own my back yard. I paid for it. If I don't want you in my back yard I have that right but I can't see dying over it. Or killing someone over it. I guess I'm saying I can't side with either party. Both knuckleheads!

My iPhone 5 is my right hand in my business and with my nuisance deer hunting in stl county it makes certain my hunters are in the right yard. I have three weather apps and make the call to work or not by it and it alone. Only one problem. I cannot figure out how to show you guys a picture of monster walleyes I catch. What the crap.

I personally get a kick out of seeing so many different kinds of people on the river. It's just weird that I can go to six flags or any other place with large crowds and never see the animosity some of these folks have. Good people can turn into real jerks. I have been a jerk one time. Or maybe twice. But I can guarantee if somebody has a gun I'm beating tracks out of the vicinity

I own two river properties I pay through the nose for em. I will let just about anyone camp, fish or swim but when it's my turn to spend time there it's mine I'm the first gravel bar after the floaters get dumped in needless to say my spot is littered with trash,paraphernalia and campfire sights. So the first hour I'm there I spend cleaning up I am a floater and a landowner and a jet boat owner. I see all view points. Move on and shut up will almost always defuse a crazy person

I just hope this doesn't convince every knucklehead on the river to carry a gun.
