  1. Do you think we would even though hardly anyone keeps bass?
  2. You can bring that back with some wet sanding and buffing. Harbor freight sells a good buffer for $30 and all the pads etc. Meguiars has a three stage restorer compound kit that works great after wet sanding.
  3. lol wealth of something. Knowledge and money isn't it.
  4. Here it is. It's laying on my deck. The bolt is on the side toward the top.
  5. I'll get a pic of the bolt I'm talking about tomorrow if I think of it.
  6. We all know that most all the time those big fish go back so there's no need in a big mess ever time one gets caught and kept.
  7. Here's the thing though, if there were a bunch of us regular bass fisherman keeping them then yea the regulations would definitely need to be revised. The general and popular attitude of most all bass anglers is catch and release. That's why I say if it's legal, he caught it, it's his fish to decide. If we all kept fish like we were crappie fishing we'd be in trouble though lol.
  8. Make it a team tournament, give us lodging, pay our entry, gas, food, and a handsome reward and I'll bring my bought down with gopro attached. You'll have to have some type of bass requirement in there somewhere. *Us/Our= me
  9. Very good advice. I could stand to do this also.
  10. I really don't think it would help unless the forage to bass ratio is off. Right now Stockton seems to be a healthy lake plenty of keepers to be had. I may be wrong but I don't know that there are enough people keeping to make a difference anyway. It's not like crappie and walleye where 99% of the people chasing them fully intend to keep them. They have a great population too. Walleye being stocked of course.
  11. You get some magazine subscription too with it now.
  12. That's good to know. Thank you.
  13. I'll admit most of the time I do it wrong. I'm working on that.
  14. 2 posts and that was one of them? Most of us are at work right now paying for our fishing stuff lol.

    8.5 Bass

I wish I had the nerve to dive. The thought freaks me out but it would be awesome.
  16. Mine get rained on all the time. Especially this year. When I tow I pull them though. I don't want road grime, rocks, or any more sun or rain exposure than I have to give them. It's just my routine to take extra care of them. Theft if I stop is another valid reason. So if I sell my stuff to upgrade you all know it's been taken care of whether it's overkill or not. I never tow with my rods on the deck either. Same reasons. No different than storing or covering your boat when you get home.
  17. So two or more can log in on different devices just not simultaneously?
  18. Does that all make sense?
  19. I heard problems of the first gen units getting stuck some but it's only when they would pull in lots of mud and sand. That's not really an issue for us obviously. I will say at least once though my graph was showing 3-4' and my talon buried so I apparently found a very soft spot. No problem with it going back up. If you did have a problem with it getting stuck there is a bolt you turn toward the top to manually raise the spike. No scuba diving required. Worse case scenario is you loosen the four nuts that hold the unit tight in the bracket and lift the whole thing out. This takes about a minute, on land anyway. I do it every time I come home to put my boat in the garage. My cowling barely clears. My guess is since it was a bps salesman and since they aren't selling them they might be slightly biased. I haven't found them to be the sharpest anyway. In my personal experience anyway. Nice guys just not always educated beyond the brochure or rumors. Also I believe my unit is a first gen since I bought it used. The new ones are supposed to be even better and even more quiet. If you can swing 12's do it.
  20. That is definitely strange and explains the annoying infomercialing that goes on. The should really let it sell itself better without trying to convince us how much better this or that part of it is constantly. It's a bass tournaments and had messing with sasquatch commercials for a while. That was enough for me to be interested. I still haven't subscribed yet. I bought an Apple TV though so I should so I could do the mirroring thing.
  21. Sooooo the site posted you under Fish24/7's username? If so that is very strange.
  22. Dude I think you are way late
  23. I actually whacked some big perch this weekend on a small version of the ned. The head was the same but the senko was maybe an 1" long at best. Anyway it was at Lamar lake. My kids were pitching night crawlers to the weed line under a bobber with surprisingly little success. I just assumed they weren't spawning or very active . I was pitching a paca craw and got some perch bites on it so I picked up this miniature Ned my son had rigged up and immediately started hammering eating size perch. After 5-7 on nearly consecutive casts I handed the rod to my oldest son and grabbed my crappie rod with a 1/16 crappie jig and continued to catch them but not quite as regular. I assume because the Ned was on bottom. Anyway it was fun. My oldest son caught several and a small channel on it before we wore out our welcome. I was surprised they wouldn't eat the live bait any better than they would but would kill the Ned and ate the crappie jig pretty well too. They weren't as big this year as they have been in the past. We've caught magnum sized ones there in the past. I don't know if something's changed or if it was just our timing. That's about the extent of my nedding. I just haven't had to really finesse them yet.
