  1. I appreciate that JRay. I'm not sure when we will be up that way. In case I sell this one what are you asking for yours?
  2. Sold
  3. This has very little hours on it. It was a spare for most of its life until I bought it earlier this year. I'm wanting to try a 26 pitch trophy so this is for trade.
  4. Dandies! Very nice
  5. Ty Mr. Rps
  6. ...look good doing it.
  7. Dang it. I need to try that fat papa blank. What is the max running depth you've observed with it?
  8. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. (‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭3‬ KJV) But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. (‭Isaiah‬ ‭64‬:‭6‬ KJV) For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: (‭1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭15‬ KJV) For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: (‭2 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬ KJV) It's impossible to be a good man of any sort apart from God. The worlds standards and Gods are completely different. A worldly person can do good things but it ends there. You are either for God or against Him.
  9. Did Jim have small dogs too? Maybe a white one?
  10. Was just telling a member about the Lee Strobel books. Very good stuff. I also mentioned the Star of Bethlehem video. If you guys haven't seen it jump on YouTube and watch it. As far as fishing on Sunday I gave up Sunday tournaments. How could I tell my kids how important a relationship with Jesus is if I'm fishing instead of taking them to church? If we are on vacation or when we stay at the lake over the weekend I do fish on Sunday but under normal circumstances the boat stays put. If we do stay the weekend we try to get back for evening service. You have to consider your example.
  11. I thought I'd post a quick review on this line for you guys. Good stuff: I've been using 20lb which is .015". Really good diameter for the rating which is what I look at mostly anymore. Slick, hard line. Very abrasion resistant. You can wrap it on a dock cable and still not need to retie most times. This I love about the line. Low stretch which is what prompted me to buy it in the first place. No break offs thus far but I rarely have that anyway on my pitching rod. This is why I use good line to begin with. I enjoy fishing some seriously narly stuff so I have a hard time skimping for this application. Cheaper than shooter. Shooter is usually $38ish for 164yds. I think I paid $26 through the tackle trap for a 165yd spool. It's $29.99 at tackle warehouse. Bad stuff: Still not cheap. I hope soon technology allows a good flipping/pitching line to come out that isn't so expensive. This stuff has the memory of an elephant. Very stiff. I like to skip jigs or paca craws a lot around wood or docks. One little mistake and you are picking out line with this stuff. It's not forgiving at all for skipping. Now with a heavier jig it would likely do better but I usually stay under 1/2oz which is a mistake for several reasons I know. Running your spool a little lower than normal helps but I don't like to adapt to my equipment. I want it to work for me. Summary: Here's where this line would dominate, structure fishing. Go figure right!? For throwing a wobble head it would be awesome. Also dragging football jigs, carolina rig (if you're into that sort of thing, or any other long cast technique with a single hook. I also think this would be great for deep jigging spoons fishing, ESPECIALLY around and in docks. This is a tough line and can handle boat lifts and cross braces. So it's not a very good all around line in my opinion but definitely has its place. I might buy more but it won't be for my pitching rod. I am going back to shooter or might experiment with the Sunline Flipping line.
  12. Great jig and Texas rig rod. Pitches very nice. I'm wanting to put some money toward building me a set of rods though so I'm culling out some. I will try to get pics later or can text pics. $150 shipped in a pvc tube with $150 insurance.
  13. What deep blanks have you tried with success?
  14. Good man.
  15. We had a short day today and literally started getting fish with an hour to go but I was just glad to put some of the puzzle together. Ran to the dam first thing with topwater on the brain and no love. Dragged and cranked some points and again it wasn't happening. A couple lost fish or bites was it. Finally ran down more toward mutton creek and caught/lost a few fish pitching bushes but it was veeeery scattered and slow. Finally out came the big worm on piles in 20ish feet deep and whammo. There they were. I left biting fish to show my friend another good pile and one pass through produced a solid fish. Then off to load up. It stinks to just get things going and leave but I was just glad to get on something before I left with my tail between my legs. Sorry for such a quick short report. Hopefully it does someone some good. It felt good to be on Jims water today. I thought about him quit a bit. It was nice meeting Ketchup and the others at the ramp this morning. A good surprise. I didn't catch the others names. Hope you guys had a good day.
  16. Awesome pics! Good use of the forum posting the pics and info!
  17. Interesting. Thank you
  18. You used regular jigging spoons?
  19. I can't say much more than what has already been said really. Jim was as nice a guy as you could hope to meet. He cared about the people here and he cared about fishing and being a better angler. His reports or advice was straight forward with intentions to make the readers a better angler. I fixed a rod for Jim earlier this year and he gave me some baits for doing it. He gave me more than I needed. In fact when he came to pick up the rod he brought even more lol. Just to be a nice guy. It's a comfort to know this won't be the last time I see him.
  20. Ok I understand. Basically were it turns to creek or where the first deeper water is from there. Thank for the advice.
  21. Thanks for the heads up on the 10xd. When I get some confidence I'll sell a kidney and buy some. Now about the spoon lol. How much have you used it? It's another intriguing bait to me that I haven't tried. I'll likely end up making some hair jigs. I need to research on what exact types of hair and how much etc. Big 10-4 on the big worm.
  22. How familiar are you with the 10xd. I'm just getting my feet wet in the deep crank thing and 6xd is my standard at this point.
  23. Doesn't that prove my assumption (actually it's proven) correct? Whatever percentage it is that keeps them, it isn't hurting Table Rock lake. I still see very few being kept including and especially talking about the people on this board.
  24. Oh I'm sure you can hit the dam! Lol. I know you can go beyond beaver town but I haven't yet. I need to get some lessons on running up there. Sometimes it's just nice to go up there to see it. Kinda like we did a few weeks ago when we went to the bridges.
