I might be wrong but when A city cop gives you a ticket the money goes back to the city, so if a mdc officer writes a ticket for wildlife violations the money IMO should go back to restitution and future protection of the resource. People will and do always cry when they get busted for something. Just seems more rational to put the money back to where it was taken from so to speak. In 2010 there were 1,983,688 lisences sold hunt and fish combined. if you added 10.00 more to the license cost it would add $19,836,880.00 to the MDC Budget tack on $5.00 access/ launch fee at all State parks and MDC properties or a $30.00 yearly pass per vechicle I would guess that would add another 10,000,000.00 easily for 30million dollars more to MDC. OR 600 MORE WARDENS. Granted those numbers are low im sure on the money end but with very simple cost increase it could aid in protection of the resource. Spring Summer Fall boating seasons could and would produce alot more revenue then what i estimated. I dont know, I am sure alot of people will cry about cost increases but 40$ more a year to me sure doesnt seem like much.

Then where does MDC get its money from State Troopers? Im serious I would like to really know I had never gave it much thought before.

OTF, If the Funding from the schools is not comming from where it should then that is an issue that should be dealt with through the State and laws. Maybe its high time that the people start forcing accountability to the elected officials to get money to go where it should and stop robbing peter to pay paul. I know its a old story but still true none the less.

Fund it with a 10$ increase in the cost of hunting and fishing lisences! Because you will need the fee's from launch ramps and parks and fines to cover the other related cost to additional game wardens.

It is known that after a lakes filling ( dependant on size and current if any ) that Mercury Lead and other toxins will be in the lake some from as simple a source as decaying plants in the lake. So with that in mind I have been trying to determine with TR's age and that it has current what the actual and most recent toxin levels are in the water and in the fish currently...

Try Baileys or Big Ones or Beaver Safari... those are the three I see catching fish frequently. I cant speak for how they are to clients or rates but i do see them get into fish.

So before I really get bored to death with it again I will answer it in this way. 300 years to go up 1 degree. By the graph itself it would take roughly give or take another 7 to 900 years to attain 3 degree's more rise. However as I pointed out we { humans } have made steps in correcting issues such as CO Emmissions and Deforrestation that CANNOT be factored into that niffty little graph. It cannot show if our technological advancements will gradualy or greatly reduce the climate change temperature and CO and in what time frame. Yes I have studied this topic and found it lacking in many areas as there are many factors such as the ones i just pointed out that must be factored into the scenrio and I have yet to see one credable paper or research that has taken that into account and its potential changes to the stratoms.

Tim I will just make a very uncarring observation here. You keep talking about this thread getting yanked but it appears you are the one attacking everyone who does not side or agree with you. It is very difficult to carry on a discussion with someone who is the insulter to all those who dont agree with them.

Wayne I agree with almost everything you said and will add that all the data in the world being spewed and that is what it is at this point is subjective. There is not a control group and without said control group all science in global warming is IMO subjective to the interpitation of the people reviewing it and based on the research I have seen lends toward the funders of the research. Now that said 1 degree over 300 years with the advancement in technologies in that time frame and CO build up would be expected! But we also have started to see andvancement in technologies that are less intrusive taking hold and though it is a slow process just has the CO rise and the Temp rise was the decline may well be slow. We can replant the forrest and we can find alternitive means of energy that are less intusive and we are! But I am one person that thinks these silly studies are a waiste of money that can be better used for better things. Say like cancer research, diabetes research, and the list goes on. It is very low on the list of things i would be concerned with. How about protecting the Bluefin Tuna or which is critical. Global warming to me is a waiste of money that can be best used elsewhere.

Na never had the problem of roll backs, I dont pull the trailer so far in the water that it will roll back. I think the biggest mistake i see at ramps daily is people not knowing how to trailer a boat. I put mine in just enough that the boat will go on it with the help of the big motor. Even doing it in the ocean with heavy current from the inlet I never had issues with roll off. Ramps were a little less in grade so possibly a issue here but one that could be dealt with by simply adding a mooring rope to the side runners in a way that when the boat is on a quick latch and your locked in place long enough to get to the front and secure the forward tie.

Does anyone know the last time the lake was tested for contaminents? Is this an issue with the overall lake or just age class fish?

Leonard, that is encouraging for me to hear. I am on day 17 almost 18 now of quitting cold turkey. My Doc and I had a long talk today about it when I was in for other reasons. And he told me 3 months is the the Goal, if you can make 3 he said your odds of never going back are very high. I dont know why you quit but its encouraging to see someone make it to the three months.

I know this isnt wood but I am thinking of doing this to my trailer soon. In FL I had designed my trailer for an all role on. I found it last longer <especially in salt> but also I was able to customize it so the boat after the bow made it in the shoot so to speak would go right in with little effort in all weather conditions. This was for a V-hull mind you but it had rollers to keep the V centered at all cost and to have running boards aid in that and protection. Cost wise on a 22' Mako trailer was 1700.00 but that was with adding Lights to the trailer for Night loads, tilt up flags for same reason and perma-straps. Plus legthening the tongue. I do not think it would come close ot that for freshwater, but i would suggest the bottom and sides to be rollers simply as safety in high wind or rough water or even the other guys wife who doesnt know how to load a boat on his trailer and almost takes out yours.

EWWW EWWWW MR KOTTER .....it is because of ACE has control of a big machine that has diverted the jetstream to a more northerly flow this year. ACE is in cohoots with MDWP and they have formed an evil scheme to create this drought situation to advance their plotte to charge More money to Southern California and force them to move to this area so that then we will need to build more places to hold and store water so that ACE can make the same profits MDWP does. And the sad thing is...... I can actually beleive that is possible having dealt with both those two agencies.

What is the projected number of animals before viable hunting season is allowed? How will a hunting season be established? Who will be allowed to hunt for them? When is the hunting season forseeable? What if the Arkansas and Missouri Elk Breed? What happens if deer with CWD are found on Pecks Ranch to the Elk Heard How much is this (project, experiment, effort ) going to cost US over 3 5 and 10 years and where is the forseeable break even point or self sustaining point. If this is to be self sustaining then how can MDC remove Elk that roam off the reservation and expect it to be self sustaining?

With a family of farmers and being around farmers I do not think this issue has to do one bit with Politics ( unless you are a politician and it lines your pockets ) Like gramps said.
