Phil, it isnt a problem with what you are doing I have seen it... It is when someone has changed the wording to the point the post was no longer even close to the original one. I could give an example but it might break the bad word filter lol... In all seriousness though it was bad enough for me to report it to the persons hosting service for violations of the hosting terms of service even. Basically a Big Ego who thought he could do anything just because he owned the site. I also watched a site loose a law-suit over editing (again altering the person to the point the original content was lost)

First to Al, I have been seeing photoshops for years and honestly cant tell which is which if I had to guess it would be the pad pic. Now as to the Net. I have been on it since Prodigy and AOL Pay to Play days, I have seen more crud on it then I can even remember. There are those with thick skins and those without and then there are trolls and people who say it straight from the heart. I have left sites but not because of members but because of the Administration and moderators who abuse the power and constantly edit members post. I do not appreciate and never will appreciate my words being edited. I have always said DELETE THE POST, NEVER EDIT IT. FYI Editing a post also opens sites owners up to lawsuits it takes the protection they are afforded as a host and turns them to a editor. Anyway, I never have minded correction when I said something stupid we all do it big deal its a way to learn. I dont mind a spirited debate heck thats a learning tool as well. Just like in life there are some people you ignore and others you listen to and some that come along you just really want to meet and become friends with. It is just what you put into it.

The Use Of Images Posted On The Internet
Feathers and Fins replied to Phil Lilley's topic in Photography
Well Phil, you have permission to use any of my pictures and if you need others let me know. I dont care if someone uses mine if they are so desperate to steel one and try and say they caught the fish or killed the game etc, they got more wrong upstairs then 3 legged cat in a sandbox. -
Maybe some whites around 12, Best bet is rocky branch south ramp area. Beaver is very tough to fish from shore. The whites and Hybrids are in coves on the shad spawn.

Just When You Think You Know Something, Redux
Feathers and Fins replied to rps's topic in Table Rock Lake
Sounds like a Snow day!!! very dirty word to a teacher and one if i say around my wife gets me evil looks.. Just look at it this way soon school will be out for summer and there is alot of fishing time to make up for the few snow days. By the way there are no walleye on beaver lake -
Ok maybe not on the pole but on the plate! I cooked these using the same method I cook Wahoo and Dolphin with. First is prep the night before in Salt Water. Next is to pre-heat the oven to 350, Place the Fish on a trivet and cover with Apples for 30 minutes. During the this time add 1 cup of Corn oil to a frying pan. Add in hash Browns, Red, Green and Yellow Peppers and let simmer for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes set a cup under a strainer and poor the mix in it allowing the oils and juices to stain through into the cup. Place the juices back in the pan and add sliced apple to the pan for 2 minutes. Remove the Walleye from the oven and place on top of the apples and let cook for 5 more minutes. While they are cooking take the Hash Brown mix and cover the bottom of a plate. Remove the Walleye and place on top of the Hash Browns. Place the apples on the side and then lightly sprinkle Chili pepper, Oregano, Paprika, Thyme, Rosemary , Garlic and Sea Salt. Place back in the oven for 2 minutes just enough to crack the flavors of the spices.

Its the ( BASS )Syndrome!!!! Beaver is more know for its Stripers then even the BASS but its the Bass that get all the tackle shops! You go to any fo the local shops and the selection on tackle for Striper is Pathetic! I buy online more than shop local because of this! The shops are loosing thousands a year not catering to the Walleye and Striper fishermen. This is NOT a poor area people can afford good quality gear and would buy local if it was here IMO. I personaly have spent well over 6grand this year on hunting and fishing gear online vs local simply because they dont carry it. Sure they tell me they can order it and like I tell them SO CAN I!

I hate 2pc rods with a passion, they come apart on casting and I have seen them shatter at the connection when on a big fish. Im not sure where your budget sits on a rod but If it was me I would save up a few extra weeks and get a Good rod to match the reel. I suggest on the lower end Shimano West Coast Seris Teramar ( TMCX76MH ) or if you really want to wait get a St Croix ( TIC80MHF ) Tide Master. Either of those two rods will handle anything you can throw at them. Its my personal prefferance but matching a good rod and reel is a more pleasureful experiance.

People said that when Sportsmens warehouse moved in. Yes im sure it hurt the bussiness short term, but in the long run it is hard to beat the selection of baits and knowledge the local stores have but more important, they know their clients by name and treat them like a person. I have never seen a box store compete with that.

This is certainly the time to go chase them. I am glad Beaver has the 18'' size limit on Walleye. It was a blast catching them and think it (size limit) will only aid and help the fishery. I would like to see it go up to 24'' Beaver is a managed trophy Striper Fishery and look at the results! Not many places in this country you can go out and call the average lake striper 12 to 15lbs, yet here we have a treasure that does it. I read other forums and see where they talk about the average (Schoolie) being 2 to 4lbs yet ours are much bigger. So why not raise the size limit on walleye to Trophy size's? Everytime I am on the lake I think how blessed we are to have this Beautiful lake with all its scenery and the fish in it.

Doc the 40lb striper I caught earlier this year was on my Cardiff 400A. They have plenty of power to take on anything in freshwater, I have caught 150 tarpon on it and numerous sailfish and others. I suggest at minimum a 7'6'' Med/Heavy Rod with a Fast action 1/2 to 3oz rating. I use 12lb floro on all my baitcasters. I keep my drag set light and if need be chase them in the boat.

Super Moon Makes Fishing Better?

Air Temp: 80 Water Temp: 74.4 Water depth: 6 to 12 ft primarily 8ft Lure Keitech: Swim baits in white with 1/4oz lead head and Rapala Shad 14ft diver Lure presentation: Trolling 1.5mph Wind: Out of the East at 10 to 15 slacking off to almost nothing at dusk Water visability: 5 to 7ft This has to be my Personal Best Day on Beaver. Totals: 117 White Bass and Hybrids combined 7 Kentuckys 2 Meanmouth 4 smallmouth 3 small stripers and FOURTEEN WALLEYE!!!!! Most the Walleye were short and not by much 17 and 1/2 to 17 and 3/4 But 3 of them made the grade at 20, 22 and 26 inches and I invited them home for dinner! 1 monsterous Hybrid was donated to be WC's Dinner guest all other interested parties were not invited home. Location was Rocky Branch, I worked two long points all day. Both extended a long way out into the main lake. They key was staying on top of the point in 8ft of water if you hit 10 to 14 those pesky small hybrids and whites were all over your bait. The walleye were locked on the top of the point. I let out the baits 100ft behind the boat. All the bites on the Walleye came directly after the baits hit a rock or stump in the water. The whites must be under the 12 bridge thick because as I was pulling back to the ramp it was looking like BassPro's Boat showroom under the bridge and more boats pulling in to the parking lot. Beautiful day and evening to be on the water and with the fish biting even better. I spoke with a few friends who said just about every pocket and cove on the lake around Rokcy Branch is holding hybrids and whites I can confirm this as I checked a few coves including the South Ramp at Rocky Branch and hammered a few real nice whites in 14ft againt the West bluff wall straigh across from the ramp and out to the point.

Sweet!!! I have fdound the tail munchers to be small stripers 8 to 10'' jobs.. I got so sick of that the other day i put a stinger on the tail to find out who was doing it!

Here is what they need to stock IMO. First this is the waterfowl capital of the world (state is anyway) so good supply of waterfowl gear. Then Deer Queer stuff lol. Onto Fishing. Bass stuff of course but then Striper and Walleye and Fly gear. If they would stock the full line of St Croix Rods including the ocean rods that would cover it for all species. On the lower end Falcon and Uglystick. I would love to see a store with Planer Boards and bottom bouncing rigs. Finally NO WOMENS CLOTHING OR SHOES!!!! Ever since I nteroduced my wife to hunting and fishing clothing and how comfortable it is thats what she wants and luckily BPS and other stores are to far for a daily stop.. Now this is to close and i can see my banks account. Wourse is her love for guns Im really scared of that She looks at Black guns and tells me they need accessorizing ( You married men know what accessorizing means)
-
Im just hoping they stock a good supply of Walleye and Striper gear. NONE of the local shops carry the good stuff

I have liked each one I have been to. Excitement factor is low as I know what it will do to my wallet. I havent heard what the official opening day is yet though

Favorite Bass Lures?
Feathers and Fins replied to Nick Williams's topic in General Angling Discussion
I think I have heard BIG BAIT = BIG FISH a few times in my life.. Heck I think I still have a 14'' castaic trout and 12 inch AC plug laying around someplace. -
To me both pictures I posted are nice ( then again i caught it lol ) Art to me would be if I had the talent to have painted it, I still have the glowtrout hanging in my outdoor room and many people like it. I put a lot of time and effort into creating it, so by the creating it I could call it art! Im not sure what the answer is I enjoy Al's painting I also enjoy some of the beauty of photography and the eye of the potographer. Perhaps there is the Answer the EYE. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all.

Beaver Report 4-28-2012 Lengthy
Feathers and Fins replied to Feathers and Fins's topic in Beaver Lake
Hook Line and Sinker in Rogers has them. -
Al, I use it for many diffrent things, Only part of it is of pictures and at that if i do teek the picture it is to make it more crisp or clean! I do not like the faked pictures however as they detract IMO from that moment in time or in some cases Hoaxing people. Used for artistic renderings is fine. hoaxes are not.
