  1. What Auburn am I watching. the one most people haven't been. The one where Gus unleashes the Run and Gun. He has shown signs of it all season but never let it loose. I have followed him for YEARS and that man has it in his back pocket. Do not be surprised to see an air-raid attack on Floriduh.
  2. AB, I grew up in SO-CAL and from all Southern Californias to you.... WE CHEERED WHEN THEY LEFT for a reason!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I can see mushrooms fried in that being very tasty.
  4. Greg; It takes a lot of time to figure out Beaver and then she gets bitchy and shows you how little you know. That said the for certain issues are the pre-spawn pattern and Fall Pattern. In spring I look to shad and crawfish, I bought the aquavu for dropping down and looking in stumps to see what color the Crayfish were in spring more than to watch the fish ( though tv fishing is fun ) Knowing the color of those craws helps catch two of my favorite critters in the lake (Smallmouth and Walleye). The shad pattern is easy find them and fish around them. Fall pattern is real simple find the 4 to 6'' Gizzard shad and have fun. It really is that simple.
  5. James I thought Bama would win until I saw OU come out with the Run and Gun offense then I knew they were screwed. Bama has been given fits by that style the last two years and Saban hates it with a passion and has not adjusted and built a D-line that could stand it. OU is a very good team and adaptable and when I saw their scheme I knew Bama was going to loose. Mizz should win. But im looking forward to the NC. The master of the run and gun in Gus v Florida. Gus knows how to play it and defend against it. If AU comes out and gets a early lead I bet he goes to his power running game to slow the tempo if not watch out for his air-raid. I don't know if FL can defend against both especially if AU gets the early lead. But does look to be a good game.
  6. That would be because you are staying up to late playing Hello- Kitty. The pros learned to simply sing Soft Kitty to their kids. One creates Play to all hours one puts them to sleep.
  7. All about getting older and smarter James.
  8. PC, always has water running in it, it is fed by Lake Atlanta on rare occasion it is even possible to catch a trout from there. The biggest effects on PC is after a big flooding spring rain the catfish will get in there big time. Coose has running water but unlike PC it is more run-off generated than constant flow. Maps are all fine but it takes time on the lake to know what has running water constantly or a spring etc. Learning the History of the lake before it was a lake is a big help as is watching your temp gauge when motoring around and best yet is getting out on low water years and observing things. I have found a few springs not on maps in low water years some only a couple of feet wide but in middle of winter they will be much warmer and knowing where they are produces nicely. It is a lot of work and years to get that info.
  9. Pretty simple. those with creeks flowing in to them or springs always have some movement. But when they generate all of them to a degree do. I do however concentrate on ones with certain current. Montne, Prairie Creek, Ventris, etc.
  10. Anyone seen them or have reports on walter yet from that area.
  11. Um not going to happen im secretive on that information.
  12. The only area I would be on TR this weekend would be the White River arm from Holiday Island to 62 Bridge looking for trout and maybe Walleye.
  13. I might confuse bass logs with catfish logs if you aint careful.
  14. I have been spending a good amount of time this winter pouring over my logs trying to build a quick chart for Beaver to cut down on time and energy for fishing and finally finished it. I thought sharing it would be nice to help people if possible. This is the primary species I target frequently, I did not include Bass other than smallies as there are a million articles on them and everyone has their own opinions and arguments is why they are not included. Gar is primarily a spring early summer thing and with them its simple, White fly and cast to them. Hope you enjoy and find these helpful
  15. Stump, LMB relate to the riverine area so that explains the PC to south area as they are the bigger fish. Furthest North I have caught a 5+pnd LMB was Little Ventris in the middle of summer. There are some big Smallmouth North of PC that will hit 5lbs but not near the frequency of the LMB south of PC. It seems as PC is the transition point / overlap point for LMB and SMB
  16. Love me the redhead,
  17. Congrats on the new bang stick.
  18. Marty now you have a reason to kill as many snow geese as humanly possible lol
  19. Next year hell you want to do crazy I say we do a CO Hunt for Snows. You bring the Mule for packing them out lol.
  20. Marty I don't blame you. I told you how soar and tired I was yesterday. I am not sure if I will even go on the diver hunt tomorrow my backs still killing me and honestly im wore out. Seem to me when I was younger it wasn't so hard im still trying to figure out whats changed.
  21. Never thought of doing it with duck, I do it with goose, there you go again getting my cooking brain thinking!
  22. Ness you will love it, field hunting is the only way I can hunt my pup anymore she is blind as a bat but nothing wrong with her nose or ears. I had a lot of people tell me she would never hunt again when she went blind last year. They cant believe she still hunts, it is great for taking the old dogs out not near as rough on them and still keeps them doing what they love. Yes they do fart in layouts and yes your eyes water but in all honesty being with your best friend is worth it to me. Do a little scouting and a little door knocking and give it a whirl, you will love it.
  23. But did you make to my honey hole ? And that aint stupid its obeying the law. What Ducky did for the Deer now that was um whats the word pricless
  24. Love it, and widgies to boot. Now go get the geese I told you about
  25. Chris he was literally landing on my belly feet down. So I grabbed them, one of those moments you just go WTH I think you have seen some of the pics from the farm. When you can park a Red truck on a levee and try dropping geese in the bed it tells you how easy it is. They get no pressure at all on it and you can walk the turnback with them on either side and they don't even get nervous. Here are a few and my favorite Keep in mind im just standing on a levee taking these with a crappy camera at that. Only ones who hunt it are me and my wife for geese,
