well this years C&B apparently AGFC opened Dove on the same day as goose so lots of brown birdies to play with. Makes my morning more interesting as I know a few spots on Beaver that hold dove in good numbers. Now if only they would have opened deer up for a velvet hunt, this redneck would have been more confused than a 3 legged cat at the beach.

So I was looking over the list and do have a few of the items listed. But do the items make you Elite? If its items lets see where I qualify I have several Fin-nor reals and Penn internationals I have several Saber Rods ( not the mass produced ones the customs) I have Several Custom Abel Rods ( yes boys and girls Abel use to make rods ) I also have several Abel reels I have an HDS Sonar system on my boat if it is Hunting lets try this. I own way to many guns but my pride is still my grandfathers 1953 870 wingmaster 36'' goose barrel I own silosocks and ghg decoys I shoot a Rytera Bow If its other let me thro a few out there. My wife can pack like a mule as well and can knock a goose down at 100 yards and if she has multiples coming in and runs out of shots she can pick up another gun and continue firing ( sucks when its mine because nature called and I turn to see 8 dead snows on the ground and the poor dog looking at me like YOU SUCK ) My wife allows me to clean all game in the house with the exception of geese ( its the feather thing all over the house ) My wife thinks a good time is turning left when you enter Cabelas or Bass-pro to go straight to the Gun department ( also if first to tell people their price is to high and we will go down the road ) Oh I can garden and make Jerky out of just about anything lol Now all kidding aside OA Elite is people willing to help others get on fish and game and to help new comers become more productive but above all else those who Pass on the heritage of the land and teach the respect of it.

Thats a hard question to answer, I use a PS76MLF for almost everything spinning up to 10 lb line and love 7'6 rods with a passion. That said you really need to go play with a bunch of St Croix's and find which one you like best. So many choices it makes me want to buy them all. I have never had a more comfortable rod then st croix salt or freshwater.

St Croix rods all the way. Reel either Shimano Stradic or Sahara and your set. All I run is Stcroix rods and shimano reels its the one area i have no problem splurging for the higher end stuff as it really does make a difference.

Marty the cart is the best thing I ever got especially for 4rivers, I love hunting pool 19 and 20 and its a long walk as you know and that cart makes life so much easier. I just drape the decoy bags over the cart ( turned on its side ) and instant blind. Just a deer cart from Rogers but kick myself in the butt everytime I think of the years of hauling in by back. I scouted a little this morning found around 800 geese 30 teal and some Blacks I had to triple check and even pulled the field guide out to be sure I was seeing black ducks. Sundays Goose killing is looking great 4 fields I have permission for had fresh poop or geese in them and the lake had a few on it as well. They just happened to be where stripers are as well
