  1. Great report Phil. Bounds like great day. Looking forward to fishing with ham and Cody at white hole in the morning!!
  2. If I wasn't going to be on the interstate tomorrow heading to searcy first, I might see if I could get my Coosa tied in the boat somehow? Hopefully we'll have enough water tho.. Interesting thought however! Got my boat cleaned up, bearings checked, tires aired up, moter runs good after my fuel pump issue, constructed a drag chain, new line on the reels, fish cooker loaded, mess of catfish filleted and ready.....i'm ready, going to be fun! Got my name on a 25 plus inch brown, I can feel it....
  3. I"m with Saluki on the Float and fly method if your determined to used a flyrod. A lot of times i'll tie a 1/32 and even a 1/16 oz zig jig (marabou jig) on my flyrod with a larger indicator like a thingamobber. Those deep holes Al talks about, if you can get your best guess on how deep they are, set that jig about a foot off the bottom, it will work!
  4. Hopefully they will run that water this weekend!
  5. Sounds like a great day and Happy Birthday! Chad and I will be up that way one of these, i'll holler, love to have ya fish with us again as well!!
  6. Man, that stinks, hate to hear it. Hope all gets better soon, wish you could least fish the day with us.
  7. Jason. Wish u could make it!
  8. Thanks Ham but I found a leftover spool while. Think just enough for my "deader" tfo. Put the pline on Richards rod. Sounds good rick. I'm kinda with you on where yo meet. I'm game anytime. However we prob wanna see what swpa has planned before we do.
  9. Ham, making my drag chain tomorrow, might not need yours this time....lol Yeah Pete, got that one right off the Bat, 10 4 on happy hour...lol. Only thing not going as planned, my nanofil my wife ordered for me on Amazon is not making it in time, guess Christmas pressure on shipping. String my CX Premium and go with it! That one is hard to find on for sale here in flatlander country....
  10. Used my same oil all year, so figured time to refresh for the trout trip!
  11. As it stands now, (correct me if i'm wrong). We will have 3 boats for sure. Mine, Terrierman(Rick) and Griz. Hams is on borrowed time before needing some repair. That would fish 9? Rick and Griz, are ya'll comfortable with 3 in your boats if needed.
  12. The only time I've ever not had the jigs work myself, was on the Little REd river at 2 units, about 20 mile downstream, the trash that stirs up down there will shut down a jig bite, but if you trailer up to JFK, you can catch um! I talked to a guide down there one time that said the jigs don't produce there like other methods. So I went anyway with my father in law, and we wore um out....He's missing out....
  13. If there someone who is thinking bout joining us on this, and not sure what to expect. This is a sample of the fishing you can expect jig fishing. This was filmed last Febuary for a friend of mines local show here at home. If you don't wanna watch the whole 30 min, at least watch the last 10 or so, and especially the last 5 if you wanna see a big Brown. Had a great time with Richard Cross and Ham that day. Ham's adlibs when I was giving my buddy a hard time for not being there were great...lol. The weather looks to be similar to what we had this day Ham, probably even a bit warmer! Look forward to meeting and seeing you guys, and getting some fishing in!
  14. Been talking to Ham, and I've decided i'm for sure bringing my boat, it sounds like Ham may have to have his repaired. Also just did another weather check, looks great!! We get the right water and it could be epic!!
  15. It does help, I shimmed my impeller on the trout boat last year, I really could see a difference..
  16. Looks like fun!! I've gotta try this sometime!
  17. I"ve got my plans lined out for Thursday for going to Searcy first. Going to a concert with the family, and my inlaws, but i'm going to have time to leave my boat at there house before concert, so bringing my boat Friday is a lot easier for me now. If we are going to have 3 in a boat, if some of us have a wider/little faster boat that might be what we might consider? My Supreme is a 48 with a 25hp.. Just a thought, after all we are fishing in winter.. I"ve even consider bringing my "larger' smallmouth rig, but still debating on that?
  18. Great Report Al. I"m planning on trying something similar on the Current River soon!
  19. Man, I hate it to, was looking forward to fishing with you again. Love to take you up on that Norfork deal, wish I could go tomorrow!
  20. So far I've only lost one of my Megabass, and it made me sick as well....I started out using the RC's and they worked fine, the hooks are cheaper, but I haven't had a problem yet. After I tried the 110 and some pointers I leave them in the box usually now. I really like my 110 Jr I got pictured up the thread, might consider another one when my loan clears...
  21. Yes, it's elgony bone, although it looks a bit different from Seth's pic. http://img.tacklewarehouse.com/new_product/MB110JR-EB-1.jpg
  22. Very nice all the way around!!
