If jig fest needs to be moved I understand the reasoning if the water is still turning over in the lake. Leaving when I have to and the added drive I probably won't make it to Taney

Been talking to Les. He’s gonna bring his 2 Basket cooker like mine it takes less oil and will be plenty of cooking capacity so we are gonna furnish the oil for it. I’ll bring some catfish and the normal stuff. To bad Duane couldn’t fed ex some of those walleye lol

Well here’s what weather channel app has. I agree with Ham we will know more mid week. But I watch this stuff all the time in my work and weather channel called the snow we got mid November down here days before our local weather got on board

Hey guys. It turns out my son has his first ever pee wee b ball game that Friday evening of jigfest and he’s gonna get to start. He’s pumped about me going since I miss stuff sometimes with farming season there’s some things you can’t miss and my sons first game is one of them. I am suppose to cook the fish Friday. I’ll be down there Friday night but not in time to Cook. Can do the fish Saturday if y’all can switch saturdays plans to Friday maybe? Sorry bout this but this game popped up this week, didn’t even know he was gonna play a month ago. I’ll be set to fish Saturday and probably Sunday now. Let me know what you think. Bret.

Man I just saw this Ham, sorry I’m late to the party, but yes was a fantastic day. I’m not a big lake guy. I hold my own on the small lakes in hardy and Cherokee village but Norfork I have little experience! Ham knows his way around and put us on some active fish. The white bass frenzy wa awesome. Even nailed one on a plopper. Ham is the best angler I’ve fished with and also th best I’ve seen about sharing some tactics. He’s right when he says if I lived closer my wife might not like him as well. Ha ha. Great day. Here’s a few more pics.

It's pricey for sure. For crappie I think might be its biggest plus. Drop shotting could be a lot of fun as well. Being able to scan in front of the boat scanning for bass as well. You can even tell by the shape of the fish on the screen.

I recently upgraded transducers on my Garmin to the new livescope panoptic's. I haven't had time to use it much yet unfortunately but I got it out on the water a couple weeks ago and played with it. This is the only video I took but it seemsto be really impressive so far. I mainly wanted this to help with my Crappie fishing here on the river systems in the back outs where I live, however the day before this I went to current River and went up a slew trying to find some Crappie, but found a big echo on the bottom and vertical jiged it and caught a smallmouth surprisingly… Planning on using it more really soon

It had been a month and a half or so since I’d chased a river smallmouth and withdrawl was more than set in. It’s been a long tough harvest season that still isn’t quite over, but the recent rains gave a chance today to sneak off to the river after picking my boat up at polar bluff from getting a fish finder worked on. I decided to try the boat out at van buren as I had brought a few rods with me. Man the fall colors are in full swing here in the southern Ozarks, current river was a beautiful sight. I didn’t fish very long maybe an hour and a half, but the smallies where active. Caught a good bite in a couple spots. One in current and one in slower water. I’d say some are transitioning over! Looking forward to my winter fishing after harvest is over. Today was a nice couple hours of aqua therapy. I always say one day a week on the river would add years to our lives.

I'll plan for the fish fry Friday night. peanut oil is the best just have to watch for allergies when cooking for groups. Can use vegetable oil or a fry oil from SAMs if want. The SAMs fry oil is what I used last year I think. I'll bring some red potatoes to and so some wedges.
