  1. So you can track somebody right down to their living room? 😮 You illuminate, big brother, cyber spy, you ! 😉 Don't be watching me poop ! 😲
  2. Being on Lake O really makes a guy appreciate a lake where you can just pull up to the bank and hop out for a bit without being cited for trespassing.
  3. Yep, wasted some time and money on that too. I became a much more consistent finisher when I quit reading Bassmaster magazine, and stopped believing the baloney that fisheries biologists like to say.
  4. Yeah I dunno. We used to run around taking pH readings because some numbskull biologists named Loren Hill convinced us that that was the key to determining whether we were fishing the proper end of a lake. He was full of BS and cost me tons of money in gas, and since I ran a Mercury back then it cost me a couple powerheads too. I fished almost every day of every summer back then. The only fish kill I remember was the LMBV phenomenon. Low DO kills are a new thing to me. Sometimes it allegedly happens only to drum, sometimes to bass/walleye, but has yet to happen to bluegill and sunfish....which are EVERYWHERE so it blows my mind how they manage to just never be where the low DO happens to be. So my BS flag goes to the top of the pole.
  5. And this just suddenly started happening a few years ago ? That's some good science right there, boy! If by chance it's accurate then it is indeed incomplete. 😅
  6. Judging by your faith based belief in anyone who calls themself a biologist, I'm siding with the girl. Choosing to believe something doesn't make it true. 😊
  7. Put me on the payroll, and I bet I can come up with something better than what is being offered. I don't know the answer, I just am pretty sure that the answer given is incorrect. So I'm enlightening you to the possibility that your biologist is full of bull.
  8. Ok, then why hasn't this kinda thing been happening all of our lives? I've been around for 55 summers.
  9. Me telling him that he's probably wrong isn't gonna make him want to discover the REAL reason why fish are dying.
  10. Thank you! Yes.
  11. Why is it that during these fish kills you never see tons of sunfish? Seems like if the true cause was that "a cloud of low DO water fell upon a certain area", you'd see fish of all types suffering from it. Not some bass and walleye. There'd be bass, walleye, crappie, shad, sunfish, speckled fart darters, and the works.
  12. And they didn't test for that this time because there was a little rain shower 2 days prior? Wait, what? Think about what you're saying 🤔 Where do shallow fish go when it gets really hot in the shallows? Why would fish ever leave the shallows if they don't know that deeper water is cooler? What's all that BS about, that biologists taught us? Ya know, about dying vegetation and how fish vacate it because they sense the depletion of oxygen? I'll maintain that a fish who finds himself in less than favorable conditions will crank up his tail and go in search of better habitat. And since a fish can survive poor quality water (or NO WATER) for at least several minutes then I think it's safe to say its odds of moving into better water are pretty darn good. A fish can cover some distance in 3 minutes. Even in water with low DO at a certain depth range the surface 10"-2' are gonna have plenty of oxygen. The Biologist's claims have officially lapped themselves here, have they not? They forgot what they claimed yesterday....or something. A cloud of low DO water falls upon a fish and kills it instantly, yet a tournament caught bass can be paraded around on a stage for several minutes and still survive. Amazing!
  13. Good thought. Highly possible. That being the case, what keeps them above the thermocline ? And why aren't there fish kills on a daily basis in tailwaters where the DO takes huge temporary deficits ?
  14. You're a month early on that square bill bite. That's what ya get for trying to rush things. 😊
  15. I don't think we would. They either wanna bite, or they don't. Knowing why isn't gonna change that. Since when does knowing WHY your wife is pissed help change her attitude? You just gotta wait it out. Or go to your girlfriend's place and hope she's in a better mood.😁
  16. So as I predicted in the other thread..... It's just something that happens and there's nothing anyone can do about it. In the future I wouldn't bother worrying about it. Why would he want to be notified of any future kills? If there's no course of action that can be taken for low DO, and the only test that can be taken are for low DO (apparently true since that's the only thing he tested for)....then why even waste time on it? How do fish "get trapped" in a pocket of low DO water? Do they forget they have fins? If a fish can survive a tournament weigh-in then you'd assume they could move 20 yards into some better water. I mean supposedly fish move to seek better water,or water more to their liking ALL THE TIME.
  17. Well, what did they think happened?
  18. I never see anyone carp angling, but I only frequent the waters in a 4-5 county area. What Waters in the state does all this carp fishing happen at? I have customers from all over 7 states and none of them (except for a couple flyfishermen) ever even mention Carp angling. Fishing for minnows on #18-22 hooks seems to excite more folks around here than carp angling does.
  19. Named after Tom Sims who invented the snowboard at age 13 in 1963 (the year I was born, ironically). After that Tom relocated to Cali and became the designer and builder of expensive technical snowboards and skateboards (100.00 at the time), starred in a movie called Free-Wheelin' in the '70's . Tom took his last ride in 2012 His son, Tim still runs the company today.😎
  20. Fattest Mutt I've ever seen !
  21. Placing a custom order, but forgot to ask about a hook upgrade.
  22. I'm disgusted by the sneaky underhanded gutless chickenshit methods of control recommended by your Elite carper friends. I'm glad you shared that, MoCarp. I'll forward that POS list of strategy's to all of my bowfishing customers via their FB pages so it can be shared in mass. Y'all must have pooped in your hands and rubbed it in your eyes. Only reason I can fathom for such a $#itty Outlook.
  23. Yep she will be at the Home Waters shindig. I'm sure she will love to answer any and all India questions.
  24. The bowfishers I know hardly ever target Asian carp. It's all about commons, buffalo, and gar for them. Not sure why.
