  1. Any more questions ? Good Lord what have I done ?!
  2. How did that stategy work for you when you were practicing law ?
  3. They quit titling electric trolling motors about 15 years ago, if they have changed up again (which would not suprise me) I haven't heard about it. Titles and registrations on TM's is crazy, the identifying numbers are always on the plastic control box housing....which gets damaged and replaced frequently. There is no way to confirm that any TM is titled correctly if the serial number sticker is missing.
  4. Why do you suppose that is ?
  5. Excellent ! Nice work Nort.
  6. Where could they possibly even come up with a number like that ? Sounds like something derived by adding up all the fudged insurance claims prepared by bait shop owners that got hit by floods, tornado's, earthquakes and Hurricanes. They have to be going by the numbers of what has been sold and had taxes paid on it. Most of which is NOT lost in the earth....it is holding down the floors of all of our garages and storage sheds.
  7. Thanks Counselor, I knew you'd give us permission if we asked correctly.
  8. Personally I'd prefer to hear what's REALLY on someones mind...instead of having to decypher some county boy's attempt at a polite and sensitive version of it. Eric gets hammered for speaking his mind on several issues, and I have too more times than I can remember. Smalliebigs got hammered for saying what was on his mind after another senseless drowning took place in his back yard, because the bleeding heart crew felt his comments were insensitive. Since when are Hunters, fishermen and general outdoor type riverfolk expected to be sensitive and hold their tongues all the time, especially when in the company of people that supposedly share the same lifestyle ? Allow Me.... STFU, Counselor Ness, I'd rather read an essay from Trav than to see another scolding post about literal christian behavior every time you run across a heated discussion.
  9. OMG !!!! I got really drunk once and screwed a peacock.....Are you my Son ?
  10. No-No, it's "Squarebob Spongepants" ! You live in a cave or sumpin' ? What's the water temp on those WB flats now ? And what size are the shad their chasing ? We have a million schools of tiny 2" shad surfacing on LO now, the schools are bigger than my house and although they flush from time to time like something is after them, I can't get a single bite. Just too much bait I'm thinkin'.
  11. Ok I've googled and am now convinced....Lead=bad / Flouride=good
  12. Possibly just Cabela's subtle way of asking everyone to stockpile so they can reduce their current inventory of lead products. The lead ban threat has been a controversy for over 20 years now....I find it almost impossible to get stressed out, or even concerned about it anymore.

  14. Knowing the way the media operates, someone may have reported that he got a cramp and couldn't swim the rest of the way....So the story just came out as "he couldn't swim". A guy reportedly got "ran over by his own PWC" here at the lake during the shootout last weekend and suffered moderate injurys. The local news reported the cause as a "mechanical failure". The real situation (told to me by someone that was there on the dock) that he did not have the kill switch lanyard attached to his wrist, he went to hop up on a dock, slipped and fell, and when he popped back up he smacked his head on his wave-runner which was still running and knocked himself unconscious. Now that's not what I would call being "run over because of a mechanical failure".
  15. Ham, As far as I know there still isn't a river access at MDC's Berry bluff tract, unless you wanna do 3/4 mile of brush-busting to the river. Someday hopefully they'll get it done. Closest access to Berry is a private "pay the hillbilly for access" deal at Bird island.
  16. Excellent point, that answers a question I had in my mind about your choice of fishing style.
  17. The finish looks real nice. Is it just the pics or does it have a bit of a reverse rocker ?
  18. When he was measuring the fish Al is the Chuck Norris of smallmouth fishing. He doesn't have to paddle, the river knows where he wants to go...and it had better not f#^& up !
  19. The measurement to be concerned about is the "tiller", which is the measurement from the limb to the string at the bottom and top of the riser. These measurements should be syncronized before your knocking point is set, and kept syncronized any time you adjust the limb bolts. Having one limb screwed in more or less than the other does not cause more or less tension on any individual limb, they will always equal out. But it does cause the center of pull to move. Get a bow square and keep the tiller sync'ed, and your knocking point and peep (if so equipped) will stay in tune as you increase or reduce the draw weight. If your bow is equipped with an overdraw you'll want the bottom tiller measurement about 1/16" wider than the top. Hope this helps. Wrench
  20. Delete all you want....I trapped it "in a quote", so it's here to stay.
  21. If so then the kinda numbers typical of an Al A. outing would indicate a very-Very healthy Smallmouth population....And "not endangered one iota by the dreaded invasive spotted bass".
  22. Ohhum ! Wait 'til Phil wakes up and sees THAT ! You'll smoke a turd in purgatory for that one young man
  23. That ain't no dung, you dump more than anyone I know. CRUNCH ! "Woah sorry Wrench I was watching the eagle...is that a Golden ?"
