  1. Take a stroll through the hatchery and see what they got while you're there. Also look to see if the stock truck is dripping or has a wet spot under it.
  2. Shimano owners from riversmallies.com have been complaining about the "Shimbindo" binding up issues for years. I can't believe they haven't corrected that yet, that's crazy ! Listening to them constantly cuss them has kept me from buying any of the upper tier Shimano reels. It seems the cheapies are immune to it however, so it is probably a "too close tolerance" thing related to shims and bushings. I hear tell if you dunk them or get caught in a decent rain, you are done for the day. They sure look and feel nice in the stores, but with reviews like that repeatedly surfacing I'm not gonna take a chance on them.
  3. Needless to say ? Those were pretty nice....but if you have pics of any "giants" , Please share. How's that No cull rule go? Once added to your creel (stringer, livewell, ect.) it is counted in your daily limit, right ? Or is that just for Summertime Bass fishing ? So....your stringer lives in your....Camera bag ? Just Razzin'
  4. Any lack of fish you notice now is temporary I'm sure. The hatchery is probably just recovering from the heavy opening day stocking. Actually I prefer a few less fish in the stream than is typical, it is kind of rediculis when there are balls of trout EVERYWHERE and they flock at your feet. Even my young daughter gets bored when the fish are overly plentiful, and all the same size.
  5. For the love of Pete Trav....chill ! If it's your blog pages you're trippin'about copy them to a disk or whatever. You are spamming the whole site and freaking people out Dude. If you are lobbying a potential takeover, and plan to be in charge of things in the future you need to ease up on the extremism.
  6. I'm suprised to hear several of you have cutting problems with uni-thread. I do quite a bit of foam work and have never had a problem with it cutting through the foam. I just take a loose wrap first, then begin tightening (squeezing) it up on sucessive wraps....no cutting problems with uni 6/0 or 3/0 here.
  7. TS, Don't get offended and leave Dude. You posted a very popular topic where you thought it would be seen easiest. If someone doesn't like WHERE it's posted... who cares. If it was that big of a deal I'm sure Phil could have moved it. Sensitivity and Political correctness isn't a requirement here....at least not with ME. Speak your mind, act as you would among friends and don't be made to feel ashamed of what you think, or why you think it. No matter the topic there will be those who feel the same, and others that feel differently. We just share this space because of a similar interest. So don't go...k?
  8. Just curious.... Why does she think that so early in the year ? 2009 may not be a record-setter as far as numbers of tags sold, but I'm sure there will be a plentiful crowd throughout the season, and plenty of profit will be made. I wonder what kind of numbers they consider "average" ?
  9. a 20 inch Brown from Roubidoux ? Common ? Anything is possible, but Drew, I think somebody's pullin' your leg. I gotta play the Show-Me card on that one.
  10. Hey you sinister Basturd ! You didn't take me THERE ! wtf?
  11. Evil Brownieman, You can catch the hell out of Browns....but you're not very nautical are ya ? LMAO It's ok I'll draw you a picture.....
  12. Cool you got me started....My fingers got sore before I got it figured it out for sure, but I think it's: C, G, Am, F, and there's a D in the chorus somewhere.
  13. You want to tie to a sliding ring or 2FT. piece of heavy chain attached on the arm, and pay out plenty of rope to get an angle of less than 45 degrees. The tighter the angle the better the hold. Personally I've found them to suck really bad, but YMMV. Mushrooms or tri-flute anchors are WAY better.
  14. Yeah.....that puppy could leave a mark
  15. Cool, that's what we like to hear. Thanks for the report What's it take to win an early Spring tournament on BS ? I've only fished it in the Fall....and struggled.
  16. Yeah really, like a school of 300lb. Sturgeon Downstream from Osage city, just up from "tower rock" is a backwater slough on river-left. It's been a long time since I've been down there but I had one hell of a Spring and Summer Bass fishing in that slough. My folks used to own the property just downstream from it until the flood of 93. Word at the time was that MDC was going to put an access there, Did they ever do it ?
  17. My pleasure, thank you for making the drive all the way up, and I hope we made it worthwhile. We could have went out for a bit if you'da gimme time to WAKE UP !
  18. Show off Pretty vague report over there....you holdin' out ?
  19. Gar will bunch up like that at this time of the year waiting for a warm rise to head upstream. They usually run immediately after the Whites.
  20. Cool perk isn't it ? Nothing handles a windy Lake O' like a Champion 200 Elite, it's my idea of the perfect Lake Ozark bass boat. God help ya if you have to change a bilge pump or livewell valve in one of'em though...Sheesh !
  21. http://store.tacklemania.com.au/Items/1330...o%20Jig%20Heads http://thumpitjigs.com/
  22. Whassamatter....were you out Crappie fishin' on a Bass day ? LMAO ! I got a report of "lousy" on the Crappie from some guys that are better at it than me.... that's why I took a bass rod That, and I didn't want to slime up his (clean enough to eat out of) livewell.
