Yes, it does test free of alcohol. Surprisingly. Smells like some form of aerosol.

I do think that bicycle helmets are gay.....but if I were on a motorcycle on a crowded Hiway, I believe I'd want one.

Smells like bug spray, but doesn't kill grass. I don't know what it is, but it sure doesn't seem like gasoline to me at all. Totally "fresh" too. Just bought 3 days ago in Jeff city. 3.82/gal.

Not sure what that Chartreuse Dip-n-dye looking stuff is.......but it doesn't kill pokeweed or grass. What kinda "gasoline" doesn't kill grass??? 🤔

I've been plagued with bad fuel issues this Spring. Worse than ever before. Not sure what's going on in the fuel industry right now, but us small engine guys are having a fit with it. Could be the switchover from "winter blend", I don't know. But it's a definite "thing". I blame the commander in chief ! 🙄

If you're buying fuel that is advertised as "Alcohol/Ethanol free", and it looks like this..... Don't ! It truly does test free of alcohol/ethanol......but it's terrible. I can't get a carbureted motor to run well on it, and EFI engines....while they will idle ok on it, have holeshot problems and a loss of top end RPM. Switch to plain 87-89% octane w/10% or less ethanol.... and she runs like a dream. Just a heads up. Fresh regular fuel is what you want. Not anyone's special blend, Premium, or any of that malarkey. 🙄

If a warning, and/or offer to assist is denied, then it's kinda like the old joke about the dude sitting on top of his house during a flood, praying. "Hey, I sent you a boat and two helecopters!.....". 🤷‍♂️

😳 I don't think FEMA has the authority to take anyone's kids against the parents will. If they tried that around here, there would be bloodshed. The FEMA crew that I met after the tornado hit here, was a group of drunks. Literally. No exaggeration.

Yeah. Disconnect your fuel supply line and use the primer bulb to squeeze a quart out into a glass container. Give it a few minutes to settle, and see if it seperates. If it looks like watered down Mountain Dew it's still ok.... but likely beginning to age. If it looks like Mello Yello, piss, or grapefruit juice..... Kill weeds with it.

You can, BUT there remains the possibility of a repeat failure. Something likely caused the coil to fail. They typically don't just blink out like a tired lightbulb. As far as I know, everyone has left here happy. 🙂 Who else needs to "approve" this place? Factory Warranty work only pays 1/3 of what my current shop rate is, and I already have plenty of work to do. Since BRP quit production of outboards then WHY would anyone wanna be a "dealer"? They'd have nothing to SELL to make it worthwhile. I have no desire whatsoever to purchase their computer diagnostic software. 90% of the time the issue is mechanical. I'm not paying 10k just so that I can swap out a few 60.00 sensors or 200.00 injectors each year...... that just doesn't feel smart. 🤔 The ETEC motors are designed so well that usually THIS.... is the only problem. And nobody needs 10k worth of diagnostic software to figure THAT out. 😅

If you're smart you'll swap two coils and verify that the mis-fire moves with the suspected bad coil. It could be a wiring or CPS (crankshaft position sensor) issue.

Do they consider asking someone to evacuate a cabin.....a "rescue"? 🤔

If I could stop laughing, stop taking big bites, stop picking at it, and stop shaving for about a month..... it might heal. But I'm pretty sure it's going to be a permanent facial imperfection. Which is fine, whatever. When I consider all the things that I could be dealing with, a bungled up lip is a blessing ! If that bungee hook had gotten me 3 inches to the north.... I'd be missing an eyeball. I'll gladly trade a lip for an eyeball any day. 👍

I'll say one thing..... You're either filthy rich, or you have got some wicked good health insurance! You're on the verge of a complete overhaul, and I can't even afford to get a banged up lip looked at. It appears that I'm the only self-healer on the planet. Hope they get you all patched up AGAIN, buddy. 👍

If the issue is truly due to lack of fire to one cylinder.....then NO you're not going to hurt anything by driving it. It may foul the plug and set an O2 sensor code......but that code should reset itself after 3 clean run cycles. Swap the bad coil, and change (or remove/clean/gap/ reinstall) the plugs.
