  1. We had a couple of gators around here (Gravois and Little Gravois) for awhile. One was an 8 footer and the other just a little smaller. They named the big one Wally. Some kids managed to catch the smaller one and kept it in a bathtub until the law had folks from St.Louis (zoo?) come get it, but nobody ever caught Wally. Supposedly they CAN survive our winter's but in cool climates they can't reproduce. All the eggs will be females because of the low temps and they'll eventually all die out.
  2. I realize that, but shad are everywhere. There's no need to suspend out over bare structureless deep water just to feed on shad. The shallow flats are full of forage, shad of all sizes included. Matter of fact it is easier for LM bass to get a belly full of shad there than it is out in the middle of the lake.
  3. My theory, which has no scientific foundation whatsoever, is that LM bass are basically home range critters that do best when they are living in a very familiar area. When you start relocating them to unfamiliar areas over and over then I think eventually they change their habits. Everytime a fish gets familiar with a certain area...POOF somebody catches it and hauls it to a new area of the lake. So now they've said "screw it", I'll just hang out here in the middle of the great abyss and chase shad schools with the Whites and Stripers. Might as well because I'm always lost anyway. I know it sounds humanistic (in thought) because of the way I try to get my point across but I really do think this is happening. All last Summer when most everyone was struggling, and all this Summer when the majority of good bass fishermen just simply were not catching them the Crappie guys out trolling little pink cranks way out in the middle of nowhere were wading through the 3-5 pounders. I've been hearing them complain about it for several years now. Say what you want but THAT is not typical bass behavior. This is a relatively new thing.
  4. Oh settle down! Good grief.
  5. Token taken. See ya, Rich. Here, crazy man... https://m.ebay.com/itm/CARVING-DUPLICATOR-From-Furniture-to-Fishing-lures-Gunstocks-/142029304670
  6. This is a place of honor and respect, you just have failed to recognize it properly. So here ya go....I found you one in Belen, NM. for under 2.5k that should do everything you want....and then some. But since you're being such a prick I now want commission. So there! PM for details if you're interested and you can Venmo my commission. Fully refundable if the unit is not satisfactory. But you have to name it "The Hammer" or else the commission goes up 26%
  7. Finally we're getting somewhere. Ok, so you've whittled something up and have convinced someone to invest so that you can mass produce it. You seem pretty confident and full of inspiration. This thing is going to rock the fishing world, ain't it? Holy Bucket O'Chum boys, we're onto something big! I'm100% in. Let's call it The Hammer ! 🔨
  8. I think it's real easy to deal with. The problem is that nobody (who matters) has the balls (or the desire) to do it. There once was a rule that you always had to yield to the smaller craft, and you were responsible for your wake. Not sure what happened to that rule, it might be a Mandella effect thing from another dimension, but I remember it vividly, and I even still follow that rule. Hardly anyone else does though.
  9. Mr. Rich isn't available until Monday!!??? <sigh> -------! Ok well please pencil me in for a consultation at his earliest convenience. Thanks.
  10. Back in early August my daughter was tying on a fly while walking across a gravel bar, and she walked right into a dead armadillo. She screamed like a banshee and I thought something bad had happened. I almost broke my neck getting over to her..... We had a good laugh.😂
  11. If you put it in a fairly fast run where the party floaters could only get a quick glimpse of it that would be epic. A bit sobering maybe?
  12. Yes I'm kidding. Now, what are ya making?
  13. I think this is spam. What you're really trying to do is sell "lure duplicators", aren't ya ?
  14. Nobody knows where you can buy a lure duplicator, we've already established that, and you aren't anywhere near as "busy" as you are pretending to be or you wouldn't be so on top of these posts. So what are you making?
  15. We? Us? Company, family, or split personality? So...... Whatcha makin'?
  16. Are you not trying to locate a piece of equipment, Forrest? You asked for everybody's input. I'm one of them. Whatever it is that you're making, you're wasting your time. Prove me wrong and I'll buy one.
  17. I think you should hire Ronnie for sourcing, since you suck at it so badly, and get back to your whittling post. 😀
  18. I remember a day when you were a hammer. You'll be a hammer again, I'm certain of it. You just gotta find some more nails. 😀
  19. That's so 1999, Ronnie. Now we are Hammer's.
  20. There's no big show, or hoopin' and hollering as it is now. Just a small group that give a halfassed round of applause out of courtesy, when the dude with the microphone tells them to. Then they all get on Facebook and say "You're a hammer"....."No YOU'RE a hammer"..... "No wait, So and So is a hammer". "Noooo, he was a hammer yesterday but TODAY you're the hammer". Ok ok.... We're all hammers. Let's be good hammers and please knock this rediculous crap off, because it's undeniably ignorant.
  21. If guys were keeping and eating fish they could only displace 12 of them before being over their possession limit, but with all the tournaments now we have guys (thousands of them) that each displace 20+ bass per month. Nobody can eat that many fish without getting sick of them and wanting a change of diet. C&R was a really good thing....until we started having 20 tournaments per month on every body of water in the country. Now it's a problem that needs to be addressed. The fix is easy, we have the technology and it's not expensive. Why can't we just get to it and make the needed changes?
  22. I notice a change in fish behavior here on LO. Fewer fish prowling the shoreline cover, and more fish moving about in open water and suspending. LM Bass are acting more and more like Stripers it seems. I have a feeling that it is because of all the constant relocating of every keeper that gets caught, but I really don't know. I was always able to find and catch shallow cover oriented bass but as time goes on it is becoming harder and harder to find fish living in that environment here. Even during the spawn it's like they are in a hurry to get the hell out of the shallows and back out to the open water. Very unlargemouthlike IMO.
  23. All of these organizations that attack (or attempt to shine lights on) residual effects always fail to address the root cause, which is overpopulation. Global warming, excessive runoff, depleted soil quality, poor oxygen, disease, famine, unemployment, drug abuse, mass shootings, wars, crooked politicians, auto accidents, erectile disfunction, and just about every negative element associated with life is a direct result of too many people with too much money, and too little space to live in. If you desire to be rich, then you shouldn't be allowed to complain that your gold is heavy.
  24. He might have a Senko crossways.
  25. Their maintenance crew is probably better with lawn mowers.
