Ham, As far as I know there still isn't a river access at MDC's Berry bluff tract, unless you wanna do 3/4 mile of brush-busting to the river. Someday hopefully they'll get it done. Closest access to Berry is a private "pay the hillbilly for access" deal at Bird island.

When he was measuring the fish Al is the Chuck Norris of smallmouth fishing. He doesn't have to paddle, the river knows where he wants to go...and it had better not f#^& up !

The measurement to be concerned about is the "tiller", which is the measurement from the limb to the string at the bottom and top of the riser. These measurements should be syncronized before your knocking point is set, and kept syncronized any time you adjust the limb bolts. Having one limb screwed in more or less than the other does not cause more or less tension on any individual limb, they will always equal out. But it does cause the center of pull to move. Get a bow square and keep the tiller sync'ed, and your knocking point and peep (if so equipped) will stay in tune as you increase or reduce the draw weight. If your bow is equipped with an overdraw you'll want the bottom tiller measurement about 1/16" wider than the top. Hope this helps. Wrench

Pull a guy over on his way home from fishing, for no reason whatsoever, ask for his license and insurance card and go run him for warrants (none), Then tell him he crossed the line twice when you know darn well he didn't, ask him if he's had anything to drink tonite and before he can even get the words "no sir" out of his mouth tell to step out of the truck and stand at the front of the patrol car while you pilfer through his belongings and spill his soda on the seats of his well kept Silverado as you try to figure out the latch on the center console....Then tell him you "thought you might have gotten a whiff of marijuana", apologize (in a smartass way) for the inconvienience and tell him to have a nice evening. THAT MY FRIEND...TAKES BALLS ! and it has nothing whatsoever to do with "being a man". In my eyes there are two kinds of law dogs. The ones that act like what I just described....And the ones that dont BUT YET turn a blind eye towards their buddys that do, thereby not honoring the oath they took. Oh yeah, plenty. I grew up on the Salt river, and the Mississippi. As kids my brother and I learned real quick about where quicksand forms and how to avoid it. I've only been in it bad once, but we had to rescue our dogs a bunch of times.

If you wear ankle socks and then squish them down after they are wet it plugs the gaps around your ankle and reduces the size of gravel that can get inside your shoes. I bought some non-cotton socks from BPS thinking they'd dry out faster, and they do kinda so I wear them on long all day excursions. But usually I just wear the gray cotton ankle socks (Jerzee's) that you can buy at Wal-mart and pitch them when the elastic craps out. Doing this keeps the bigger rocks out even when wearing regular old tennis shoes. I've had lots of specialty wading shoes and none kept the gravel out if I wore them without socks.

That is unfortunate. But when you say "John Q" it makes me think of a hero, one that takes matters into his own hands to see that the proper and "right" thing gets done in spite of any rediculis legal protocol. Apparently "John Q" means something entirely different to You. Enlighten me.

OMG, I sure don't want to offend any cops or ex-cops on here, but that over-used cliche drives me absolutely crazy. They are well equipped with all the best quality weapons and gadgets, and are professionally trained in the use of them. They also have full permission to use deadly force ANY time they feel the least bit threatened, and are connected to a network of unlimited resources. So if their "life is ever on the line" then it's because they are seriously Slackin'. Any of us could say the same thing. If I slack on my job I'd be putting my life on the line everyday also, and for what ? Your boating pleasure is my mission in life, I'd die for you just so you can go fishing or pull your kids on a tube

A splash of Hydrogen Peroxide in the livewell increses oxygen,and is supposed to help revive fish that are in shock. Fish seem to be able to deal with going from hot to cold much better than going from cold to hot....just a personal observation.

I'm glad that you're glad, I suppose, but keep in mind that a loss of compression also means a loss of intake vaccuum, which means less fuel and lubrication and more friction heat to the effected cylinder. So if you plan to keep running it don't get too far from the ramp. As it is now you may be able to hone and re-ring without even having to bore the cyl. out. If you keep running it there no doubt that the price of the eventual rebuild will increase.
