  1. It is smaller than one would imagine and it casts very well. I've got a good feeling about this bait on table rock.
  2. I think a lot of us that use nanofil use flourcarbon leaders, so the shade of nanofil doesn't matter. I use about an eight foot leader, and it works fine for me.
  3. +1 on the nanofil, its some awesome stuff.

I'm ready to take one for the team!
  5. Absolutely no resistance with the bbz swim baits, well, some but not much. Probably a little less than a square bill crankbait or better. Fun and easy bait to fish with.
  6. Two weekends ago it was fine on the ramp side but the marina side had ice up to the docks back in the back but that was the last time I've been down there.
  7. I've fished a lot from the bank throughout my life and one thing I can tell you is that it makes you fish harder just because you don't have the luxury of running all over the lake. It allows you to slow down and catch fish a lot of people would miss or not bother fishing for.
  8. Mojo rig or a finesse style carolina rig with a finesse worm in your favorite color will always catch fish that time of year.
  9. Making the best out of a tough day, atleast for me anyway. Well done Quillback, those are some nice fish.
  10. Women make the world go around... But I'm fortunate to have a wife that let's me fish too much!!!
  11. I had a great year last season with a stickbait champ, and had fish pushing shad up shallow and on top of the water almost through the end of December. I have yet to see that type of feeding in those same areas this year, but I have caught fish in those spots. This is my 3rd year fishing table rock, and each season has been different each year. I've had to adjust every time whether spring ,fall or winter. But I have been doing almost exactly what Bo has been doing and that's dragging a jig deep, when you know they're down there that jig can get bit.
  12. This has been totally different from last year regarding these deep fish, if I remember correctly, Bill B. and some others had a harder time finding them.
  13. The bass seem to have started diving down through the shad as they were on or close to the bottom.
  14. Falcon rods will also have the power of the blank labeled in with the model number, as do other high end rods makers. Cc-5-17mh-t7 model is a "5" weight medium heavy, a 4 would be more of a medium action, and a "7" would be more stiffer heavy action.
  15. Quillback is so good, he can fish in the future!!
  16. Hard to believe Donna didn't catch one on a jig!
  17. Thanks for the heads up jmes...
  18. I have never had good look curing painted jig heads with the weed guards in them, because the temp has to be low enough to not melt the weed guard. I have tried it at 230 degrees for about 50 minutes, but the paint chips off very easy. You might want to try a longer bake time. I do mine at 350 for 25 minutes and the paint stays on very well. Small dab of glue and then press the guard in.
  19. If Coe is not operating because of the shut down, are these park rangers working for free? Or a few selected employees still work and get paid?
  20. I have had some luck throwing an optimum baby inline 3.5 up shallow with some good chop on the water, mostly in the back of big pockets and around docks. But I would bet a wiggle wart would get bit.
  21. Quill, I drove down to big m today and all the corp had down there where 2 small signs that said " do not enter". The marina is open and the boat ramp is clear. I fished from the bank for awhile and never saw anyone except others driving around like usual.
  22. Sounds like a pretty good day, nice pattern!
  23. Big wakes is like having favorable wind blowing on a good bank, seems to bring them up and make em more active. IMOP...
  24. I like it Josh, just keep on fishing and karma ( or a 45) will set his a$$ strait one of these days!
  25. I bet they had a lot of fun out there!
