  1. Hope each and every one of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving
  2. This boat runs great and he is open to any reasonable offer.
  3. I'm a big fan of braid on my crappie rod, been using it for the last 5 years. It seems to me like it almost doubles your ability to feel the bite.
  4. You're right no reason to cut corners on the trolling motor.
  5. Looked on SEI website I couldn't find a complete lower unit for this motor. I alsochecked into the GLM gear sets but when I called to check on them they said they didn't have one for that motor. Hoped they would they were about half price.
  6. Yeah I am going to replace pinion nut. And didn't use a pipe wrench I used a crescent wrench on the flat for the water pump key and a box end wrench on the nut. Its actually a 2:1 13/26 I have checked into a rebuilt lower unit but I can do it myself for about half the price of a rebuilt one.
  7. If you are around Springfield area Marine repair center more than likely has everything you need.
  8. No problem glad I could help
  9. There should be no water getting into the motor housing. I would clean the housing good where the o-rings seal replace the o-rings and the seal on the prop shaft. It won't last long if it keeps getting water in it water and electric motors don't go well together. Also check the end caps for any cracks.
  10. I figured it was pretty low hours they bought it from a lady I know and she only had it a couple years and she bought it from an elderly gentleman that bought it new and just used it to drift fish on Taneycomo. Will talk to my folks think they only have liability but not sure. It's on a pontoon they bought this summer. Parts are pretty pricey, boats.net has about the best prices I have found.
  11. Had to run out to the shop so took a quick picture. Reverse gear needs to be replaced also but it just has a few minor nicks.
  12. Ok I will post some pictures in the morning. I have to go out to the shop and take some.
  13. Well I appreciate your response that was the only purpose I could see for it to be there.
  14. We have the lower unit on my dad's 1996 40 hp force torn down and I was wondering what purpose does the big spring right above the pinion gear and bearing on the drive shaft serve. Only thing I can think of is to spin the oil back down to the bearing.
  15. Dropped price to $4200.00 obo
  16. My dad just downsized to a aluminum boat and wants to sell his 1986 179 Stratos. It is a good boat with a 150 oil injected Yamaha that runs strong. The boat has power trim, power jack plate.front and rear livewells, stainless steel prop. older Motorguide 41 lb.Brute trolling motor. The batteries are 2 years old, has new trailer tires and less than 20 hrs on water pump. The gel coat is not perfect and the graph works but screen is distorted. You can call him at 417-282-9287 or call or text me at 660-679-1417 for more info. The boat is at Pomme De Terre. Asking $4200.00 OBO Thanks Scott
  17. Have a Partner S65 chain saw 65cc with 20" bar. Good condition and runs great comes with 1 brand new chain and 1 used chain that was just sharpened. Made in Sweden they are a lot like a Husqvarna. Asking $150 OBO
  18. Crappie have been good around Wheatland park. Been catching them on 1/24 oz. jigs today all came off brush piles in 14-16 fow pretty much equal numbers of shorts and keepers. Water temp this morning was 80 at 7:00.
  19. I have been running Ellis group 27 batteries 1 cranking and 3 trolling so far nothing bad to say. They have 1 year full replacement and 3 year prorated I believe that's what they said.
  20. I haven't been out lately, but from what I have heard bass are just so so and still a lot of short crappie. That is about all I can tell ya.
  21. Bass fishing hasn't been that great for me lately. And same crappie report as everyone else can catch the heck out of 8- 81/2" crappie just can't get on many keepers. You can catch them on trees and brush piles. Haven't seen crappie fishing this bad and this good all at the same time.
