  1. Brother in law and I went out Saturday morning about 7 and had our limit by 9:30 all on jigs. Mostly 10 to 12 inch females all full of eggs. Bite was really light. Everything came off of brush piles in 16 to 25 fow. Went out Sunday morning everything was the same but took an hour or so longer to get our limits. Tight lines to y'all
  2. Was out yesterday and temps were in mid 60's before the rain and visibility was around 3 ft. On the Pomme arm.
  3. I have been catching a lot of bass the last week. They are scattered out and catching most in 2-10 fow on soft plastics. Water temp is in the low to mid 60's but they still haven't really hit the banks. The funny thing is I have not caught a fish in the last week that has had a beat up tail. Sorry typed this up yesterday but I guess I forgot to add it to the page.
  4. I have a 2001 Yamaha 225 2 stroke on my Ranger 520 it is a great motor. And my dad has a late 80's 150 Yamaha that is still running strong. Don't think you will be disappointed if you buy one justy 2 cents worth.
  5. Only fished the mid lake area so don't really know about up the lake arms.
  6. I went out Tuesday for about 3 hours caught 8 with 5 keepers. Nothing over 2 lbs though. Not near as good as last Tuesday when I had 22 with 18 keepers and 2 over 5 lbs. Caught everything both days in back half of coves on crank baits in 5 ft. Of water or less. Water temp. is around 55 and visibility is getting better at about 2 ft. most of the places I went.
  7. Does anyone know if they will have the Friday night tournaments out of the Harbor this year?
  8. Hasn't been great usually end up with 5 to 10 in 3to 4 hours mostly all legal fish biggest in the last week has been 4.5 lbs.but most around 2 lbs. Been catching them about 50/50 on jerkbaits and jigs.
  9. I hit a few of my brush piles yesterday while out bass fishing. Didn't do to good on crappie only caught caught 2 females about 12 inches long and missed 2 other bites. Think I will stick to the bass for a while longer.
  10. By the way if you see a red and yellow Ranger when you're out fishing stop and say hi I will probably be up around the Bolivar Landing area Monday and Tuesday not sure if I will be out this weekend or not depends on the weather. But good luck to you and hope you catch some.
  11. Have been catching some bass this week visibility has only been about 1 foot. Mid lake water temps have been about 50 and mid 50s up around Bolivar Landing. Have been catching them on Lucky Craft Pointers in about 6 feet of water on chunk rock banks and around laydowns and stumps on jigs. Haven't caught a short fish this week they have all ranged from 1 1/2 to 4 1/2 lbs. nothing real big but been fun.
  12. Good luck to you next weekend I'm going to try to go out again 1 day this week. If I do will post conditions then. Hopefully the fish will cooperate better than Saturday. The cold muddy water is making fishing really tough.
  13. Water is still really stained with around a foot of visibility. But it is clearing a little every day. I only fished the Pomme arm and it was clearer up towards the Bolivar landing area temps were in the low to mid 40's.
  14. I went out around noon yesterday till 3 water clarity sucks pretty much less than a foot everywhere I went. Fished the Pomme arm from Wheatland area to just past 83 Marina water temp was 43 in coves and 40 on main lake. The wind was terrible. I fished jerk baits and A rig never caught a bass and only managed 1 crappie but couldn't fish the piles I wanted to because of the wind. Good luck to all think I will try again Saturday when the wind isn't so bad.
  15. If everything goes as planned I will go out this afternoon or tomorrow to try for some bass and maybe some crappie if I make it out I will let you know what the water and fishing was like for me.
  16. Sounds good to me. I'm getting some maintanance done on my boat an and trailer so I can go out this week and see if I can find some bass and maybe some crappie.
  17. Haven't been out but was at Wheatland ramp yesterday and water was really dirty less than a foot of visibility. A lot of that was from the waves pounding in. I'm planning on going out but probably not until next week so let us know how you do.
  18. We have caught several here on Pomme while Bass fishing, usually on Rattle Traps or Pop Rs. Coopers cove and the point on the West side of the mouth of the Wheatland campground cove have been good spots. Good luck to you and your wife.
  19. Ok wasn't sure what state you were in I'm kind of interested but that's still a long ways from me. I have a hds 5 gen. 1 not sure if I want another gen.1 or if I want to move up to a gen.2 for the higher processor speeds.
  20. Goshen isn't that up north of Chillicothe. I'm kind of interested but if that is where it is that's a far piece from me.
  21. The last 2 sets of batteries that I purchased have been the group 29 deep cycles from Wal Mart. I am running a 36 volt Motorguide digital. I plug in the on board charger religiously after every outing and have got 4 years out of each set.
  22. Mine would be 75 lb spoonbill from the Marais Des Cygne river.
  23. Mjk if you like the larger spools as I do try the Pflueger Arbor 7430. I have one paired with a Loomis 7 ft. light action rod and it makes a great crappie rod. Even though it's $20 higher than the President I really like it supper smooth and good drag.
  24. Thanks alot I appreciate the info. I will have to give it a try this spring and see if I can do any good.
  25. I lived on the Missouri side pretty much straight east of Lacygne Ks. Used to fish mostly south of Virginia Mo. at the Marvel bridge.
