  1. they are very poisonous and about extinct. Therefore all fishing in Taneycomo will cease immediately to allow them to reestablish themselves...............
  2. if they get up in the river MDC will probably just gig them because they are not where they are suppose to be.
  3. go to Walmart and get some clear sewing thread. About 1/2 lb test so be very careful, but it is the closest thing to invisible that I have ever found. I got an 8lb bow on the wall that I caught in 1985 using clear sewing thread.
  4. lots of money for look sees for MO, while smallmouth anglers keep complaining about gig marks in smallies. This is just a bottom of the taxpayer's rung on the ladder, but I hope you see what I am saying. Taxpayers bucks can be much better.
  5. huh KC? Spending money unwisely has ruined many people, cities, countries, etc.
  6. no again. An Elk in the middle of the road is 3 or 4 times worse than hitting a deer. But, MDC just shoots them when they leave the reservation so that is a non point. LOL! Lots of state tax dollars spent monitoring those elk and restocking them. It makes common sense to maybe spend state money more wisely when the entire USA is in a fiscal crisis. If the state had excess dollars, LMAO off again, then maybe Elk could be on the list to spend money on. I know you hate my common sense facts, so just fire away with your response. I made my point so maybe others will start thinking some outside the box.
  7. assuming you can weigh in 12 inch spots, a shakey head should be in your bag also. You never know when a few 1.5 lb football spots would look very good. An old trick back in my day, was a white one minus cranked along the sides and corners of any dock. Good luck! And like wrench said, you will do good, just fish your strengths and be semi prepared for docks or deep fishing. Depends on who you draw,
  8. quack, quack, walking like a duck...............
  9. we had about an inch of rain and 10 inches of thunder, of course the sirens went off. A summer time thuder storm and the NWS(govt), makes people think it is the end of the world.
  10. if you got to budget in $25 then you need to re-think things. Common sense.
  11. the Wed night tourneys have been tough for over a month. Don't feel bad, they are just off their feed.
  12. with all due respect to the NWS, they have to be conservative in their forecasts because they get crucified if they "miss" on the low side of any weather event.
  13. and a lot of folks believe the "weather forecasters" when they project weather trends for many years out. They can't forecast for 5 days, 3 days, or much less one day. Think about it.
  14. 1.43 so far here. The little creeks are flowing now.

  16. Arcadia Valley has had 0.84 thus far. The ditch in front of the house is barely trickling, but the creek still has no flow.
  17. that sure is an impressive big bass for this time of year.
  18. more research equals more funding for their "research". Job security, and I really seriously doubt there is a solution. These are the same folks who want to build multi million dollar fish passages at locks and dam, when at least 30% of the time the dam gates are out of the water due to high flows.
  19. I would guess they invested in green energy and went broke.
  20. you never hold back, do you wrench? That's why I have always appreciated you. If I ever get back to LOZ, or you get down in the Arcadia Valley area, we need to fish a bit.
  21. great way to unwind!
  22. it is funny how some live for the moment.
  23. fished there last summer on one of the lakes. Tons of little bass. The Terre du Lac bass club use to fish at least two events there each year. Now they don't. That should tell you something.
  24. Are you floating "Back to the Future?" LOL! Have a good trip!
