  1. S-waver 168(party crasher or hitch), start a slow retrieve as soon as it hits the water. When it reachs the hump give it a slight tug and slack, it'll glide off to one side about a foot or 2 and suspend/start a slow fall, then bam. Or take a Spro bbz1 Jr or 4" shad floaters (lavender shad or natural shad). Throw it pass the hump, slow roll over it, stop and let it sit for a second and give it a twitch or 2, let it sit then start to slow roll it again. They'll either hit it after the twitches or when you continue the slow roll retrieve. That's what I would do...
  2. Sorry, guys I haven't been on all weekend. Went down to NW Arkansas and won a kayak big bass tournament. Thanks for the tag. I've had some difficulty with big baits this fall due to the warmer weather and the fish not putting on that winter "feed bag". This time last year I caught several smallies over 4lbs and largemouth up to 6lbs on the 200. The warm weather and the fact I broke my TFO magnum heavy 7'11" when yhe Bassmaster Open was in town and waited a month for a replacement. Any how, I mainly target the same areas guys throw jerkbaits and warts, shallow areas less than 20ft, chunk rock / bluffy banks. The S-waver is a super slow sink, but at some point I'm sure it suspends, but I'm not brave enough to jump in 40° water and find out how deep. I've caught a few on the 168 (party crasher), but I've also caught them on the Spro Bbz1 Jr floater, Spro Rat 50, Savage Gear 3d line-thru 6 inch slow sink, Megabass Magdraft 6 inch. But I haven't caught the size or numbers the fall like I did last year, but still catching some 16" to 19" fish on them. If you would like, I'll pm my number and we can go out and I could give you some tips. I've had 30 fish days with the 168 and best stringer on the 200 was roughly 25, along with catching my PB LM (8.69lbs, in March) on it.
  3. Go Team Lew's (GTL) Get The F@ckin Net (GTFN) Here's your lingo lessons of the day.lol
  4. I think they were either at Bullards Bar or Berryessa. Bullards is where the last 2 records came from.
  5. Sorry I missed it. Was exhausted from a busy holiday weekend that included a midnight run to Dallas, Saturday night, to take delivery of some exotic fish. Long story short, we finally received the delivery 8 hours after we were supposed to. Got home at midnight Sunday, was supposed to be home @ 6. I'll watch out for the next one
  6. No they're not killing them, they feed them trout.lol (Even though this 11lbs 4oz beast,on the left, was caught on a shakeyhead, i believe). Unfortunately, nobody from the CA DFG (DNR in Missouri) was able to come out and certify it. There's pics of it on 3 different scales.
  7. Here it is the 2016 Mo-Yak Fishing Series schedule. Also included are a few major tournament dates for those that are interested. This year we are doing something a little different we are hosting 8 open tournaments. You are allowed to drop two and count six for AOY points, this allows those that can't make all dates to still have a chance in the AOY standings. We also are including an online points only tournament Memorial Day weekend, a three day tournament that you fish on your own and submit your catch online (details will be provided). This will be for points only and one more way for you to get AOY points. More information can be found at showmekayakfishing.org
  8. My S-waver 200 my get thrown on a windy bluff bank tomorrow
  9. @Fishinwrench, just fish them where you find fish.lol this time of year I mostly find them on ledges with chunk rock or 45 degree chunk rock banks. @Mjk86, as slow as I reel them, they about eat it. The only missed fish are the one that slap the bait with they're mouth closed (territorial thing I'm guessing). If I'm working the Lunker Punker, which makes drastic directional changes (it's like a big Spook), I've twitched it at a moderate speed and have had fish miss the bait. Other than that, I usually have really good hook ups.
  10. @Jozark, the top one is a High Power, the one below it is a 30acre. They both "taxidermy" style baits creating a mold from fresh caught (dead) gizzard shad The Giant is a Hiroshima Customs glide
  11. There's about $4k worth of baits in this rifle case...
  12. Apparently when you type the number "7" and hit enter, it posts as "butt".lol
  13. And Sam, don't worry, the walleye, stripers, whites and crappie like swimbaits too. This walleye ate the tail hook on that 8 inch Spro bbz1. I'll be spending some time on Bull Shoals this winter trying to get my first walleye over 10lbs on a swimbait.
  14. I'll set a reminder for myself for the Chat. I got wrapped up in my preparation for a tournament at Lake Fork and forgot to attend the last one.
  15. My swimbait bite is picking up as the water cools. I've caught 16 to 19 inch bass (all 3 black bass species) with consistent results. Plus quite a few misses. Anything from the Spro BBZ1 Rat 50 and Jr (6 inch) to the River2Sea S-waver 168.
  16. Check out Nucanoe. Its a sit on top style kayak, elevated seating (and 360° swivel), and wide open deck for all types of rigging. OEO stocks the Diablo Paddlesports Amigo that can be purchased with the "Larry Chair". But it's weight and highly defined belly rocker may penalize it on the river.
  17. After this lake fork tournament this weekend, I'll be pounding the area from the dam to K-dock. I'll let you know how it goes.
  18. Tyy (fish4fun) has an HD, loaded it is also a tank (i helped put in the water, once...) but you should ask him for his opinion on it.
  19. Swimbaits (hard baits, example: Spro BBZ1, River2Sea S-waver, bull shad) in the fall?
  20. I was using the anti-plopper (lol), the Spro BBZ1 Rat 50. Here's an article i did for Spro today http://thebbz.com/2015/10/24/spro-bbz-1-rat-50-cast-to-cash-get-you-some
  21. Jerkbait, under-spin with a swimming fluke jr, flicker shad in natural shad and maybe purple/chartuese shad.
  22. You can connect up to 3 mobile devices to the T-box. Haven't tried video game fishing with it. The deep/dropshot bite on Table Rock was really poor this year due to the water visability, plus i like throwing spybaits and swimbaits.lol
  23. just letting you know, one of the kayak anglers who had an incident this weekend is a Stone County Fire Marshal and a very honest and humble person, so there maybe a little truth to his story... I've some incidents where I had boats get a little to close for comfort. But I've had some idle right in front of me (instead of behind me) and have been tempted to toss a swimbait at the deck. Instead I put the rod up and go elsewhere, there's plenty of water to fish...
  24. If you would like, i can let you try out the vexilar sonarphone t-box 200 I use in my kayak. With the tablet, the Navionics/Sonar split screen feature is much better to view on a larger screen (like a tablet). And it works with Navionics SonarCharts Live feature also. Here's a few screenshots from my Galaxy S5
