  1. fishinging addiction, I'm using them on a 3/16 spot remover jig head just working them slowly along and maintaining bottom contact. Some of the strikes have been pretty violent.
  2. Started late today about 10 since it was cold this morning. The cold didn't seem to hurt the bite. It is really hard to fish locations you cant to right now with this wind. Caught them shallow again on senkos 4-8ft with some K's out a little deeper. Even caught a few meanmouths that were really beautiful color. Boated exactly 40 bass today with the majority being smallmouth. Nothing real big but a lot of solid 3 lbers. Caught a bonus rouge black in the very back of a pocket that was pushing 5. I also caught some sight fishing which is so fun in clear water. I really don't do a lot of it but couldn't resist. The fish seem to tik the senko hard and run with it a lot so you have to watch your line and feel the slightest pressure because they already have eaten it good. I could have boated a lot more fish but messed around and tried to get some other things working. I also looked for whites and only managed 3. I have no idea about whites this year, it has been a struggle for me to put some meat in the freezer.
  3. Another tip you guys may know. I put the weightless fluke on with a swivel about 12-16 inches up and it helps it sink and reduse line twist. You can work it shallow really well and then let it sink slowly off of drops. Has worked really well for me and out big fish in the blat
  4. Have been catching them on senoks on variety of colors in 4-8ft. Doesn't seem to matter which bank as long as you can get away from 30 mph wind and get bit soon lol. Also have been catching some jerkbait fish in same areas paralleling beds along bank in about 6ft banging rocks. Fishing has been great last few days. Boated about 50 fish today with about half being keepers. If you aren't getting bit soon move along there is a better place to fish. I have been pulling up to brand new areas I've never fished and been catching them. Will have better report after tomorrow. Ghost table rock shad and Yamamoto red red senko over and out.
  5. There are always fish shallow most of the time in my opinion. If they are deeper than 20 ft forget them is what I say ha
  6. He was trying to get a quick limit of k's. Said he had been catching some 17 inch ones on a jerkbait
  7. I used to never throw anything under 12. Now all I use is about 10lb invisix and 15 on jigs and topwaters. I really like the longer cast you can get with the 10lb plus just the over all feel you have with your lure.
  8. After watching those guys with jerkbaits. I don't think I will ever let mine sit as long I thought you originally had to. Especially with Flurocarbon line. Sinks to match and you do not get the same action. If you fish them a little faster it is great combo though.
  9. Thanks for the reminder thumbs I keep forgetting about those. Love those xd's a lot. Especially a 5xd......green gizzard. darn! I just have my big secret out. Don't ever try them. They will never catch a fish haha.
  10. I am definitely fond of the wobble heads. Have been using them for awhile now. Love flipping them in flossed brush with a senko. Have caught some big fish doing this. If anyone has a couple v37 prerapla warts they wouldn't mind selling I would gladly buy some. I love that color and they are hard to find on eBay right now.
  11. I was never scared to ride with them. I never felt unsafe. It just really jars you around when you are balls to the wall on a long run, especially during takeoff when there are a lot of wakes and anglers heading in the same direction.
  12. Biffle uses that every tournament. I have not seen him use anything different. They could be whacking them on something else and he still would use that hardhead with a bug. He was using it again this tournament.
  13. I would say just the overall decision making process. When to make a change and when to stay in a location. Of course they have better mechanics than us, but that has to do with they give 110% on every cast and every retrieve.
  14. I'm rooting for Mike. Very nice guy and he would love to win here. Hope he pulls it out. He has been doing better everyday so he should be fine.
  15. Nothing special. Warts and jerkbaits. They caught them all over the lake. They made sure to fish every spot thorough that might hold a fish such as a laydown or rock transition. Threw lots of baits at things like this when they came across them.
  16. Thanks guys it was a great weekend indeed. Only fished about an hour or 2 the last two nights and caught some big fish also watched the pros all day. Will be a weekend to remember for sure.
  17. One thing to add, these guys are all crazy when it comes to driving a boat. Wish I had a seat belt haha
  18. Fished tonight and caught some big smallmouth. Would give the bait and locations but I'm in a tournament this weekend coming up. Fish are on the move. Fish hard and you can catch them..
  19. Sorry they are all sideways. I am on my phone and couldn't get them to turn upright.
  20. What an awesome weekend. I did not get to go out today but I had two of the best draws you could get. The first day I had Paul Elias and yesterday I had Ike. It was awesome watching this guys go to work on these fish. Learned a lot and the simple things we tend to overlook that can make a big difference. Both these guys were class acts and you may not think so but Ike is a great guy. Ike gets pumped when he catches them but who wouldn't when you are fishing for that kind of money. He shared lots of info on why he was doing certain things and so did Paul. Despite some of the comments you guys have heard at the weigh ins, these guys work there tail off. They only get about 2 1/2 days to practice and put together a pattern to run, not including the weather they might face that is different over the course of the tournament.Who can learn a lake like table rock in 2 1/2 days. These guys are great at what they do and how they can catch fish at every lake they go to. They are very versatile but fish there strengths a lot. I would highly recommend being a marshal to anyone. It is a great experience. Here is some pics I took these weekend.
  21. I'm with Ike and he ha caught about 20-25 fish with about 14lbs in the boat. Looking for a big one now
  22. Guys I would like to put input in what I think right now but I will just wait until the tourney is over. Im a Marshall and that's only fair. They will catch them tomorrow. You will be surprised. Just my opinion
  23. Nice job duck. You are quite the crappie man. Great reports and great fish.
  24. RPS that is what I'm saying. Couldn't have been a better evening. I'm pumped for tomorrow.
  25. Thumbs, I drew Elias and I will try and say hello too.
