Cow Creek Red dye Looking Water??????
Alex Heitman replied to eyedabassman's topic in Table Rock Lake
Dave it is definitely an algae bloom. I have seen it for the last couple weeks and it can be bad in areas where the wind has been blowing. -
Cow Creek Red dye Looking Water??????

It is an algae bloom. This has been going on for the last couple weeks from KC to the dam -
Reelhawk were you in the white and blue z-7? We were in the maroon and white z-9

My dad and I fished the big bass on Saturday but did not get the big bite. I weighed in a 3.77 smallmouth and a 3.52 LM but no check. I weighed them in the wrong hours ha. We caught most of out fish in the first two hours and especially the first 30 minutes when it was below freezing. We had about 15-16 lbs with our best five. The bigger fish we caught came on a jerkbait and the others on a crank. I caught a 5 lb smallmouth the day before when we only fished for an hour lol. Then after the tournament on Saturday I caught another pig smallmouth. That's just the way it goes sometimes. I am only able to pattern smallmouth right now. The Blacks have eluded me.

These comments had me rolling guys haha. Sorry I've been busy since we left the lake. Champ I don't think it was a meanmouth but it could have been and by the way nice smallmouth Donna! These smallmouth we have in this lake are awesome! Dave thanks. I don't knownifntounhave any ned heads available but we would like to order some if you do. Tomorrow I will post the video of releasing the fish. The fish have really been scattered for us and you just have to get on them. Sometimes you will get bit in an area nd it takes an hour or two to get bit again but that's fishing. We didn't catch a whole lot but we caught some good ones. Good luck to you guys and hope you get on them.

I have a video releasing the fish this morning but it is to big to upload. Will try and figure it

Fished today and caught some really nice fish cranking. Had about 16 lbs this morning by 12. Went back out at 2 and caught 2 more smallmouth over 4 lbs plus a but load of other keepers. It was a memorable day. Water temps 51-56 from long creek marina to cow.

It is one of my favorite topwaters. I wish they made one bigger though.

I don't like what this guy is doing but I think he is within the rules with a trouble hook on the fly or whatever that is. You can use artificial lures in the blue ribbon section below the park. I often use jerkbaits in that area but never have any on a stringer and definitely not 2 since the limit is one. Makes me sick he keeps all of those nice Browns out of there.

What is sad is most of the pics on that page are nice to big size Browns and they are all on a stringer.

O A F One Bass Tournament- news & results

Where is BASSTRAK?? Haha -
I'll chime in on this. I think the fishing has been effected by a Facebook page that shows detailed spots where they are catching them. I argued with the guy until I was blue in the face and he still thinks differently.

Anybody have a 5000-6000 lb lift for sale? My dad is looking for one right now for our boat on Table Rock.

Busch wildlife lakes are stocked too you moron.

You are exactly why fishing reports are few and far between on this forum. There were just starting to come back but looks like they won't be for a while and I don't blame people. Why you try and piss people off on here I don't understand.

Joe newer is usually better but I have much better luck on Taney and the blue ribbon section of the current with the big floating rogue. I put a suspend strip on it so it slows the rise and they can't stand it.

I have 4 BB1 pros and they are my favorite reel. Cast as far as you want. Did you get the BB1 regular one and not the pro? I would recommend the pro
-
Yeah there were times we were catching them in 25-30 ft with the 1/16 head. Forgot to mention we only had 2 spinning reels set up for the little rig. I wanted my brother and dad to catch some fish so I rigged it up on a Lews BB1 pro, carbonlite 7ft medium, and 10 lb fluro. I was able to throw that 1/16 oz head pretty good and surprised me. Stuck quote a few with that setup haha. Would not recommend it though but it was fun using a jig hookset on the little bait.
-
Dave I also switched to a 1/16 oz head from an 1/8oz from the ones you gave me from spring and they seemed to like it a little bit better for whatever reason. They seemed to like the slow fall but were dead right on the bottom. Smallmouth bite is really strong right now. My dad left with the boat this evening before the snow hits. Tomorrow I'm going to be having withdrawals with the snow falling knowing they will be biting.

The water was still really clear in the Indian and point 1 area. After you got up towards state park it was a green milky color but still looked good. It was very hard not to beat the backs of pockets/creeks and flip the the brush for awhile. Wishing it was spring with all this water haha. We found some deep fish but could not entertain them. I feel like there has to be a crankbait bite but it is hard to find the places to get your bait on the bottom without being in the brush or not ticking the bottom.

Fished the dam area today with my dad and brother. First time out since the lake has flooded. Tried a bunch out baits today but only ended up catching them on a finesse style bait we all know to wel on he forum. Fish on the edge of the bushes and out to 30 ft. All smallmouth except a nice fat K that lost his way. We probably had about 7 or 8 keepers with 25-30 fish being caught. Didn't really keep exact track but it was fun and kept us active. The LM have eluded me. No love on blade, jig, crank, or jerkbait today. It was nice to be out before the cold hits l.

I'd be willing to bet they were caught on a crankbait or jerkbait.

Well with all of the Facebook videos of all of the hot spots being posted you will have to walk to catch them. I tried to reason and they said there is 184 miles of River to fish. I responded well when less than 10% of that holds the trophy trout you can expect changes. It's going to take a hike now to catch them like you want to.

Bear fisher where did you put in at?
