Thanks, my stand-by at Crane is normally a BH Prince nymph. But Friday it resulted in zero.

I notice in some of your pics you mainly use standard nymphs. Do you ever have luck with bead heads on Crane?

I was able to take a last minute day of vacation on Friday. Was able to fish for about 3 hours. Water was low and very clear. Made fishing tough. Was able to manage three with biggest about 11". Ended up catching all three on a muddler. Nothing on nymphs. A beautiful day and the creek was beautiful. Never saw another fisherman.

Congrats again on a great day! The middle one is a monster. I have never come close to that on Crane. Cannot wait to get back down there.

I am still fairly new to fly fishing and especially fishing Crane. Any success I have had at Crane has been on nymphs. As a novice I usually fish under an indicator. The last few guys I have ran into at Crane have been nymphing without an indicator. How many out there go without an indicator and is it much more difficult? I am worried about missing hits. But with these spooky fish I may have more luck.

Did you have a chance to hit the lower access? I fished for the first time a few weeks back. Was wondering how much this heat and rain are affecting them

Finally was able to hit the creek Friday. Was only able to fish for 2 - 3 hours before the hard rain hit. Caught 4. Three very small and one that was 12". When you are used to catching released fish this 12" er felt like it weighed 2 pounds. Everything on a prince nymph.

I plan on heading up to fish the CC area tomorrow. I know the lake is up over 3ft but was curious of you have been seeing much debris, logs etc? Hope to hit some crappie and eyes. Thanks

Great report. Thanks for the info. I am heading up to Stockton next week. Mainly a crappie fisherman but have been wanting to learn more about catching those Stockton eye's.

Ended up just fishing from the bank over the weekend at Stockton. Didn't get a limit but had a nice mess and one bonus walleye.
