    First Round

I thought Manhattan was gong to pull off the upset. Louisville was my pick to win it all but after watching last night I wish I could change it. If Mizzou is at all thinking about a coaching change, Frank Masiello of Manhattan needs to be on the short list.
  2. I watched on TV. I was wondering if you were the guy in black or in gold
  3. Ended up with 25 whites today. Put in at Aldridge and went into the lake, not the river. All fish caught were keepers. Most were caught on the stick bait, some on jigs.
  4. I don't know about Kim Anderson. But I'd be in for offering Greg Marshall a butt load of money.
  5. Not a firsthand report but, had a buddy put in at blunks this morning. 51 degree water, got skunked. Another friend put in at Walnut around mid morning and got a limit of whites. Not sure what the cold day tomorrow will do to em. I did fish Sunday from Walnut to Blunks and didn't get much. Gna try to get out this weekend, but will probably have to dodge the snaggers to fish from walnut to longs.
  6. Aren't zig jigs around $12 a piece? I'm out
  7. 15. yep 15 made baskets in 40 min by the tigers today. gotta be close to, if not a record.
  8. gna be an awesome tournament. Lots of good teams, and great coaches. Funny how the best coaches in the world would rather coach college than pros. I'll be interested to see how well McDermott and Creighton do.
  9. Just saw the score. How was it OTF? As ugly as I imagine it was?
  10. Thanks for your reports Ducky. I'll be heading that way sunday
  11. Ducky you're my hero. I'll be down there Sunday. Leave a few in there for me
  12. I think it's pretty simple, the winner of the tenn/mu game is in, the loser is out. Barring a major setback in the conference tournament. And I think Arkansas is in.
  13. my favorite tournament bait

I'm not cheering one bit for the hogs. Or the Jayhawks, Raiders, Broncos, Chargers or Cubs.

I'd rather watch Missouri State, at least those kids play hard and seem to do things with a sense of purpose. Alden would be foolish not to at least see if there is any interest out there during tournament time. Test the waters so to speak.

32% from the field. 4 points from the bench. They do shoot free throws amazingly well though
  17. Chief I think he goes by winkiedoodle on youtube.
  18. I can only assume the bracketologists think that the SEC will get 4 teams in and by default are putting Mizzou in. This team seems to be getting worse as the season goes on. Even the games they won lately I didn't think they played very well. Same thing happened last year. Everybody keeps saying they can't fire Haith with his record. Well, the team 2 years ago I could have rolled the ball out and coached them to 30 wins, that team's seniors basically coached themselves. Last years team underachieved with the talent they had, got worse as the season went on and got embarrassed in the tournament. This year they have 1 quality win and have lost 2 home games. I don't care if they're 19-8. They suck. With that cake schedule they should easily be 22-5. The Mizzou brass should not stand for the mediocrity that is the NIT. It's like me telling my kids its ok to get C's in their classes. Nope, we don't do C's. Alden needs to lay down the law and let it be known that NIT's are unacceptable. The great programs have a winning culture and don't accept failure. Maybe my expectations are just too high for my Tigers.
  19. Love Stallings, great coach. Couple of problems I have with transfers...first of all they, for whatever reasons, didn't stick with it at their original program. If they were a problem there it will probably follow them here. Secondly I like to watch players grow over the course of their career at Mizzou. You learn their names as freshman and by the time they are seniors you kind of get a "thats my guy" mentality toward them. Even though you've never met them, you're on a first name basis with them when you watch them play. Kim English comes to mind. In my opinion that is how you build a team that can make a tournament run, with chemistry and court familiarity that can only come with multiple years of practicing and playing together. It's not like Haith is recruiting the "one and done" high school kids. Hopefully Alden feels the same way and will end the merry go round of 1-2 year players and hire a coach instead of a recruiter.
  20. were you at the game tonite? Just wondering what the attendance was and if it was as sparse as it looked on tv. I just don't care for the style of play I've seen from the tigers the last couple of years. Seems like Haith just recruits athletes and tries to win with their athleticism. Awful offense against the zone tonite, everybody just standing around looking at each other. And I still blame Haith for the debacle that was Phil Pressey last year
  21. Ugly. Looked like alot of empty seats too. Would you rather them make the tournament and go 1 and done (which would probably happen against anybody thats decent) or not make the tournament and Haith get fired? Unfortunately I think I'd rather the latter happen.
  22. Guess I'll go chase around the crappie tomorrow since the weather is good. Anybody know the ice situation around point 15?
  23. This is kinda cool. I'd be interested to see where they deem "eligible waters" to be. And I'd like to extend an invitation to Al Agnew to be my partner
  24. good luck with that....we all know what B.O.A.T. stands for! I always budget $1200/year for upkeep and maintenance on both my truck and boat. $100/month. If I go one month without spending any money, I plan on spending $200 the next month and so on. Preventative maintenance is the key to staying away from the huge bills and if you can learn to do it yourself you will save alot of money.
  25. I've got a 1993 16' aluminum vee with a 40 horse johnson for sale. $2500 if your interested.
