  1. You said a ton right there. I think Alden was pressured pretty hard to make this hire. Not that I don't think he'll do a good job. I'm on board. Have to give him some time though. Where is Justin with the "she" jokes? C'mon man!
  2. Put in at Bridgeport 7:00pm last evening and headed to bear den. Boy it was windy, we were the only boat there. Caught 10 keeper crappie all males but 1, most right on the bank. 1/16 oz chartruse jigs. When the sun went down the fish shut off. Do spawning crappie not bite at night? Do they move off the bank? We were pulling em in pretty good then boom...not a nibble after dark.
  3. I think it would be cool if the NCAA made the non-con schedules instead of the schools
  4. When is KU football going D2?
  5. I heard that Marshall's agent said he would be "interested" in the Mizzou job. Whatever that means.
  6. Some kind of restrictions need to be placed on the recyclers that buy the copper from these guys. Some dude just shows up with a crap load of copper they have to know he stole it from somewhere.
  7. Did he bust out a WOOO-WEEEEE!! when he caught that smallie? I miss Don's Crap-squatch videos on Spfld lake. Tell him to make some more
  8. Awesome report Nitro! nice work!
  9. He gone!! This along with the football recruiting class thats shaping up has made for a good month in Columbia. Im out on Howland, UCLA turned into a big mess his last few years and he coaches a boring, slow it down style. You all speak highly of Anderson and I admit I don't know much about him as a coach, other than he's close to 60 years old. I'd like to see them get a young guy off the Petrino tree, I just like that style of high pressure defense and uptempo play.

Dez was suspended because Deion Sanders bought him lunch and he lied about. Not because he pushed a girl down some stairs and got busted with the chronic twice. And he beat up his mom well after he was drafted. And he had some crazy numbers his soph year like 1500yds/20td's or something. he fell to 27th in that years draft.
  11. It's been a couple of years since Ive been down to McCords, but that neighborhood is a little scary if I remember right. I wouldn't be stopping to knock on a door at night but, again, that was a couple years ago

He wont be a 1st rounder. Too much money a team would have to guarantee him.

Oh I dont love MO State. I've been to 1 game there and I've lived here forever. And I opened this thread by saying I hope DGB never plays another down of football just because he's an idiot. But, most football programs care about making money first and foremost. Mo State sends their kids off to get stomped by a D1 school every year to the tune of a million bucks. All Im saying is if they want to make more money, and probably win more games, DGB should at least be on their radar.

I couldn't agree more with this. All they have to say is that they are trying to help the local kid straighten out his life. I don't think there is any way Terry Allen is against it, hell he'd prob go pluck kids out of the Greene county jail if he thought they would help him win. I'm assuming his bosses are against it. But you are right, they have to get people in that stadium and Dorial would do that.

He cost himself a lot of money. Remember the honey badger from lsu. He was a heisman finalist and first round lock until he was kicked off the team. Ended up a 3rd rounder to AZ and got somewhere around 3 mil for 4 years, a lot of that dependent on him staying off the dope. Last year the rams signed 1st rd WR Tavon Austin to somewhere around 12mil and 7mil signing bonus. Thats a lot of jack
  16. fishslayer- Im assuming you took that thing home and filleted it up. Is it good? never had any. Im also going to assume you rolled it up in that blue tarp and crammed it in the back of your SUV. That is awesome

I can't believe MOSt isn't interested. Some of the local high school teams draw better than they do. Not that I would go, but I bet he would put some butts in the seats.
  18. UPDATE: I got all my stuff back! I won't get into how it all went down, but everything is back in my possession. I was in Hot Springs all weekend and actually had a couple of guys from OA call and leave me voicemails on Saturday saying they had seen the Suburban. Sorry I didn't get back with you. It all actually went down on Friday but I'm just now having time to post this.

what a d-bag. I hope he never plays another down of football in his life if all of this is true. I heard his dad tried to payoff the girl that was going to press charges? what the hell is goin on?
  20. here's what I learned....somebody needs to invent a way to get this camera on the line thing available at bass pro. have it project right up to your giant fish finder. Instant bazillionaire
  21. Hey guys, I have an auto dealership in Springfield and we carry a few boats as well. Last night some things were stolen off a 99 Charger bass boat here's the list... Humminbird 998c fish finder and all the hardware (transducer etc.), tempest plus 3 blade stainless prop, C-star hydraulic steering unit, 3 spoke black steering wheel. We did get some video and the robber was a white male driving a late 90's model Suburban, red in color with silver flames on the hood and front fenders. If anybody sees this rig around Springfield or maybe at a boat ramp somewhere please jot down the license plate number and contact me ASAP. My cell number is 417-224-3690. $500 cash reward for my stuff back. If you know this guy and don't want to turn him in I would tell him that I will find him, a police report has been filed and it won't take me long to find that Suburban. All my stuff back and I will call off the dog's but if not I will prosecute to the fullest extent. Guys, thanks for any help I can get and remember. RED SUBURBAN WITH SILVER FLAMES, if you see it let me know

  23. Prop boat I'm assuming? If so, the water was up pretty high last week when I was there so I would say yes, but I wouldn't go upriver. The safe bet would be to put in at walnut springs.
  24. Put in at Aldrich Sunday about 12:30pm and went into the lake about a mile. Fished until about 6, 15 BIG whites all female except for 1 big male. Would catch a couple on the mud flat side then nothing for awhile, so would motor over to the chunk rock side and catch a few then nothing. So, back over to the flat and catch a few more and so on. It was a windy day for sure. The mud flat side was less windy and fish could be caught on a swimming minnow with 1/8 oz jig head, but on the windy chunk rock side the stick bait worked better. Probably just couldn't feel the bite on the jig with all the wind. All fish were caught 10' from the bank and in.
  25. I would call the Marina. That's where they check your boat and give you the pass.
