  2. nah hes my neighbor down the road he probly wasnt even thinking hes a pretty nice guy. but not thinking is no excuse for blinding all us old fart that are half way blind anyhows hahahaha!!!!!!
  3. A good fisherman learns to fish out of the box. i took a buddy from here out the other day and he couldn't understand why i was throwing a c rig off a bluff in 30fow till he seen me boat a couple of fish. tear em up Plug!!!
  4. Ive had the pleasure of fishing with Hammer and hes ranks way up there with the best fishermen I've ever fished with and no the man isn't dumb by no means hes a great sportsman thats the bottom line!!!!!!!!!
  5. Pepe it's nice to see you have the 3/32nd oz mushroom head. It's the original size head that Max Campbell and Papi Ray Duncan made for Stacey Kings Goose Turd almost 6 years ago. The collared jig head with the double barbs you have in 3/16th in the 3/32nd size was the original design Stacey and Max Wilson came up with to fish half a Senko on but the original had an eagle claw round bend hook in it. Most everyone uses the 1/16th and 1/8th oz but Stacey and the Kim City fellas only throwed the 3/32 around the backs of docks and under walkways and to this day thats all Stacey orders from Papi.. 3/32nd is all i use now under either calm, windy shallow or deep conditions.Fellas give the 3/32nd oz a try it started the whole phenom to what we know is the bait that we don't speak of, ned rig ,little rig and most recently the l[l varmit.
  6. Daily and Possession Limits You may possess no more than the daily limit of any given species while you are on waters, or on the banks of waters, where daily limits for those species apply. Where only catch-and-release fishing is allowed, fish must be returned unharmed immediately to the water after being caught. The possession limit is twice the statewide daily limit. Fish you take and possess must be kept separate or distinctly identifiable from fish taken by another person. If you are away from your catch, the device holding the fish must be plainly labeled with your full name and address.
  7. The pro keep arguement is always down the line of as long as its legal, i can live with that because its his right according to the law. I agree with Dave on the 1960's looking stringer and am gonna take it one step further. I DON'T CARE HOW MANY IT TOOK TO CATCH THAT STRINGER OF FISH THE FACT IS THERE'S 9 ON THERE AND CREEL LIMIT IS 6!!!!! MDC puts out a guidelines and regulations manual every year I just wish more people would read it. Rick your friend is lucky he didn't get nailed for exceeding his daily creel limit because even if he didn't catch all 9 hes in possession of them.
  8. they was out in full force in the mouth of kings river on table rock last night. 4 boats of them thinking they owned the lake. they were cutting bass fishermen off, running banks right at other fishermen then skirting around them and spooking everything on the banks let alone blinding everyone they got close too. its not the first time this has happened and theres gonna be trouble if it continues. it happened to me and a few others guys fishing a little tournament out of ruark bluff last fall. a bow fisherman set up his lights while waiting for us to get off the water. he had his lights facing the ramp and he blinded both the drivers trying to back in and the boaters trying to get on the trailer. It's total lack of respect by some of them giving the rest a bad name.
  9. this pic is what its all about!!!!!
  10. could be his modem sometimes i have to reset my network adapter.
  11. yes I believe it is. Papi was telling me at the shop yesterday that he used to tie them when he had his first business going some twenty five years ago that feathered bucktails are very difficult to tie and only one of his employees and himself could tie them. Back in those days he had jigs in the brown derbies in Springfield and Wal Marts.
  12. another very good read. Lots of good information here http://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/seasonal_patterns.html
  13. Fin thats the most realistic jig i.ve ever seen. Hats off to you its a piece of art not just a lure!!!!!!
  14. theres a very nice 17' grumman in mt. vernon for 3800 firm. it may be a little small for what your looking for. it has a 97 40hp johnson on it but if its rated for a bigger motor you can always upgrade for that kind of money, the ladies husband just past away and i know he kept very good care of it. pm me if interested i will get you in contact with her.
  15. all last week it seemed like there was a walleye boat sitting on every point it made it kinda hard to fish for bass except for the long run outs. thnx for the report Bob, looks like we may be neighbors stanleys seiferts moms house is for rent down the road from you. gonna look at it on my way home from the lake on thursday afternoon.
  16. its too short you'll run out of room pretty fast hahaha!!! Since ive started fishing with razR rods i just reel and sweep i dont have to use a real strong hook set where i darn near go over the side off the boat backwards lmbo!!! when i set the steel to them it seems like they come strait up and spit while the other way i can keep them down better,
  17. heres another good read on an old bait thats coming back strong. http://www.scout.com/outdoors/wired2fish/story/1469201-5-reasons-you-need-to-use-feathered-bucktail-jigs

  19. hiring a local guide like Bob Bennett Stockton Lake Guide service is what he goes by on here might be money well invested. explain to him what you are wanting to learn and i'm sure he can help you out. After that just continue to monitor this forum, take a few notes on current patterns and study a good map in your spare time. i suggest the MDC Fish Attractor Map http://egis.mdc.mo.gov/statewidefishattractors/index.htmland better yet if you have a gps combo graph on your boat download the coordinates to the brush piles. even a handheld gps would be useful. Main thing is to just get out on the water and enjoy yourself and be safe!!!! Rome wasnt conquered in a day and neither will Stockton!!!

  21. i guess the fish are trying to get out of the hot water too lol!! I've lost more quality fish the last two times out than all spring combined. I can't keep them down to save my life especially on longer casts with an underspin and a swim bait. I'm going to try 20lb braid with a flouro leader and a med heavy rod with a moderate fast tip and see if that helps. Went out this evening just before dark but didnt get to fish very long before i had to pull a stranded pontoon boat from point 4 to mutton creek. It was a mess the guy thought mutton creek was orleans trail and didnt even know what or where the kill switch was on his boat and didnt have a bow light. anyhows i had a keeper eye barely 15 before our good deed and two keeps just south of mutton afterwards. we got off the water around 10:30. thnx for the report skeeter sounds like you still had a pretty good day on the water.
  22. Big worms and paca craws rigged on a wrecking ball. (Skirted swing jig)
