    Jugging

I agree with you wettinline.I have never put a jug in the main part of the lake.I stay in the back of coves and i put my trotlines where no one can hit them if their trolling. All the needed info is written on my trotline tag and my bottles. If you was to hit someones bottle and it was anchored and all the info was there, then i would say your at fault.Your in control of your boat and you hit it.It would be the same as hitting a floating log.You hit it.
  3. Thanks for the report straw hat.I was worried the water was gonna still be nasty lookin. One more day of work and i can come home tomorrow.Hopefully all the fish will be willing to jump right in the boat for me friday, sat and sunday.

    Jugging

They might be full. The water has been up a couple of days now.We just got back.We went to caplinger mills and got shad.I cut them all up and have 3 jars in the freezer.Frozen is better than none.We just got done putting our trotline out. Will pull it in in the morning and then go scatter some jugs.

    Jugging

I scattered my jugs this morning and caught one almost instantly.I trolled around the corner and caught a small walleye and a small bass.was out of sight around the corner for about 15-20 minutes and the wind had pushed all my jugs into the brush.I went looking for calmer water but couldnt find any so i trolled around awhile.I did find 2 nice boat bumpers in the logjam in the back of the cove.My girlfriends son said the water is down enough to catch shad at Caplinger Mills and hes catching cats.It has always been easier for me to go get shad at Caplinger Mills than driving around in the boat looking for shad.

    Jugging

Orleans Trail area and south and south of crabtree cove.Between these three spots i can find some calm water on windy days.15-20 fow.Im gonna try like stockton lake guide service said and go where the creeks are coming in.I plan on flooding the little coves behind orleans trail marina with all of my orange jugs saturday and sunday morning.Jetskis and pleasure cruisers never go back there.

    Jugging

I scatter about 20 jugs and stay close enough i can see them with my binoculars.Whenever i see a boat get close to my jugs i head back.Ive never had one stolen.I have came back the next morning and found no bait and no fish on my trotline and always figured someone else checked them.
  10. Awesome!!.im wanting to get one like that.I do alot of wading in the winter looking for arrowheads and i have two (sit inside)kayaks of my buddies i was gonna use but i was afraid of falling out when i try to get out while im wearing waders.Ive had ice cold water come over the top of my waders before and it sucks.I want one like yours so i could just throw my legs over the side and get out.
  11. straw hat-thats about the size of cats ive been catching.I scattered some jugs yesterday morning and caught 2 and lost 1 at the boat.Pulled my jugs in and went across the lake and trolled down to where the lake splits(east of the islands). Was supposed to be off work this week and i got a call while i was trolling saying i needed to come up and work thursday and friday so that cut my day short.I was gonna fish all day but got home at noon.It was nice and calm early yesterday then the wind picked up about 10am.I think i saw 2 sailboats,i bass boat, and one cruiser pulling a tube.I like days like that.Saturday we were trolling in a small cove and all the jetski's were across the main lake and then here come 2 jetski's over where we were at and passed us and went full blast in 20fow all the way around the cove. They knew what we were doing and just had to come over and screw everything up for us.Oh well...summer is almost over. From now on i just want to work Fri,Sat,and Sun and fish during the week.
  12. Ive had juggin on my brain all week at work.Well im home now so..cats beware.Theres a chance for storms tomorrow so maybe they will still be biting good.
  13. That was a good one.
  14. Wow!!! $9 each.I think i will keep the ones i made.Havent lost one yet and all it cost me was hooks and braided line and some orange paint.Plus mine stand straight up and i can see them from pretty far away. Those look nice but somebody might try to steal them out of my boat.
  15. I was off all last week so i will probably be gone for the next couple off weeks unless i come home for saturday night and sunday.
  16. Nice!!
  17. I need to get a job close to home so i can be home every night and be able to fish at night more.
  18. I hate IE.I run Firefox and no antivirus and i wipe my pc once a year.If i run IE and i have an antivirus i end up wiping everything 2-3 times a year.Antivirus always slows everything down.I keep everything on external harddrives and there is no worrys if my pc crashes.
  19. I have 20ft of line on my jugs and i can put some line inside the jug and put the cap back on and set my depth that way but usually the 4-7lb cats i catch are in 20-25fow.If i get in 10fow all i catch is the tiny babys.I need to scout out different spots but i usually stay within a couple of coves away from orleans trail marina to save gas.I have only been south of 215 once in 3 years.Usually stay on the north side of the lake.Everybody says to use cut shad but when i do i dont catch much and i always catch turtles. If i use shrimp i always catch fish and hardly ever catch a turtle.Im wanting to go out at night and use live bait but it would have to be calm winds.Man all this talk about jugging...should have went out this morning
  20. I carry 24 labeled jugs that fit perfect in a crate.I think the most i have thrown out is 20.I am wanting to make about 10 jugs that have 50-60 foot of line and fish the river under the lake and try to catch something big.I have never seen a huge cat or flathead on stockton.I prefer to eat the small cats but i would love to catch a big one on stockton and take some pics and throw it back.My brother said in the early 90s they would throw a bunch of jugs out and spend hours the next morning trying to find them. But that was before the laws changed and gas was 80cents a gallon.
  21. the biggest cove north of 215 and south of orleans trail marina.20-25fow
  22. wipe your pc,get rid of all the cleaners, and run Firefox instead of IE
  23. Whats his name?Did anyone look him up on case.net? He might have been busted before.
  24. So what is Hunts gonna call their Manwich?.
  25. Had to pick a different cove today to get away from the waves and caught a bunch of tiny ones.Moved to another cove and caught 1 decent one and 4 small ones.I tryed to troll some points with my deep divers but the pleasure cruisers were out.One boat came close enough i could have hit him with my worst casting rod.and then there were 3 jetskis jumping his waves so i tucked my tail between my legs and limped home.Someone at the marina had a huge flag on their sailboat i thought was pretty cool.
