  1. Caught em all day long last weekend on poppers and a spook
  2. It is awfully awkward to have to snub those people but they just don't stop.
  3. I think so fishbait. I fished with her at Aldrich she seemed cool to me even tho I've heard negative things
  4. I found a purple and clear spook by the water camping and caught a 14 incher on it. the bass cant stand those things, was catching them on poppers too.
  5. Yeah, and dont take people out on a tube in a shallow cove!! With all the lake you dont have to constantly splash anglers with your boat and ruin the finish on boats of people that are tied up next to camp. Freakin idiots. Id also like to say that you shouldnt go camping and leave your darn kids unattended. I tried to fish the boat dock at cedar ridge camp site and there were some 12-15 year olds down on the water gettin drunk bein loud all night long. Conservation agents were out, found out I had fished with an undercover agent a couple of times until she id'd me yesterday.
  6. I met Wally at Sportsman Factory Outlet tonight. Apparently he stops thru to visit a lot. I dont why Im so excited, I feel like a little kid LOL
  7. Here we are out here searching for a lunker and he catches one while he's was at home chilling.
  8. Night fishing cedar ridge has been my go to if the day is slow. I wish I was there now.(would either of u be the bearded guy that fishes the front at night with a bunch a poles? )
  9. Got out at 6 am after hittin lakeys. Bites were slow on minnows all day in each spot. We've had enough share of our slow days fishin so when it got extra hot out we left around 2pm. Thanks to the guy that dang near dround us running his boat up the river. Lol goin back out wednesday
  10. My friend keeps largemouths so I don't post pictures here much because of that. If its 15 it goes on his stringer, I like the taste but I release all my bass(although I traded a cat for a bass once since they were keepin him anyways). To each his own, I'll have to try the marinade.
  11. Sounds like a blast. I was watching the next bite and they were catching em sight fishing in Canada with a fly rod.
  12. Nothin like that top water bite. Sounds like it was a helluva time
  13. I think we're headed down tonight and Sunday. We drive a white impala, two big boys if you see us say what's up. We fish Aldrich and cedar ridge mostly. Fish on
  14. I wonder when this almost mystic spawn day/week is gonna happen. I only hope i get to limit out before its over, been hittin stockton alot making sure i dont miss it this year.
  15. Thats the way it was for us at Cedar Ridge on Saturday too. Not many bites AT ALL, but the ones we reeled in were big and off the bottom.
  16. Edit-Yep thats the one. Went back yesterday and it was back to turned off. Welp, at least I have thursdays memories. I hope they arent headed back to the deep structure.
  17. Hit the bank at 10 am. Started tearin em up on minnows in about 2 ft of water 7 feet from the bank off bobbers. We fished right out in front of us for most of the day but when the bite got light we waded and fished the edge of the sunken road. The edge of the road was on fire from about 11:30am-2. Around 6 the clouds moved in and the water got very calm and they were hittin everything we could throw at them! We ran out of minnows and couldnt use all of them if we bought more so we jigged the dead ones and they were hittin those too, it didnt even matter i guess they seemed hungry. During that calm hour or two my buddy jigged a big ol channel cat right next to the shore. In all we took home 19 crappie and a cat. We sure didnt limit out but considering the last time i fished Aldrich when it was sloooow it sure was nice. Nothing but action all day, been waiting for a day of fishing like this one. Pics to come.
  18. Sounds like the time I had last time. Ended up at aldridge and 8 hours later all I had was 2 keeper crappie and caught a bunch of 12-14" bass (i dont keep those anyways). Its so expensive to fish stockton from springfield i really hate days like that.
  19. The fishing barge at cedar ridge. The left side of the end of the barge is always hitting even when it's slow. If it doesn't produce cast toward the bank on the left side or try the fourth railing post from the end of the barge on the right side. Set your poles at different depths to find em.
  20. I've just recently started going thru morrisville because of walnut grove cops. One night I got pulled over on a side road out there by one of them and ive never had my butt raked and harassed so bad in my life. It's definitely worth creepin thru morrisville at 10 mph by the school.
  21. I coat mine in a light layer of mustard then into zatarans fish fri breadcrumb mixture and on to the grease. Sounds bizarre but after years of the regular breading I'm hooked
  22. Got stumped today at Aldridge. Caught two keeper crappie but not enough action for 6 hours of fishin. Caught some bass here and there but all babies.
  23. Theyve been hittin the orange goldfish lookin minnows I get from the bait shop mixed in on the way up there a lot better in the daytime. I'd make a pass at cedar ridge if you get stumped.
