  1. Either way, why not tell us about these spoons. Seems like ya'll want to advertise so give us some insight on these things.. I always use war eagle slab spoons but these look great too so tell us about them!!
  2. Im with you on the not sitting. That is why i have never understood the kayak fishing epidemic. I would rather just not fish if i had to paddle my big butt around. More power to those guys that do it, just not for me
  3. Nice, i still cant get over the 24" walleye hump. I have def. got walleye fever lately though. Gonna keep at them on Bull... Figure its just a matter of time if i put enough baits and hours in.
  4. Everytime i go there i tell myself all those short ones will grow up and it will be great next year. Seems like they never grow up. Ive gotten pretty spoiled at Bull Shoals the last couple years. I swear Every Crappie in Bull is 12" or bigger
  5. Went down to a buddies cabin and did some crappie fishing off the dock. Weeded through 38 of them yesterday with 13 of them being 10" or better. Usually dont mess with the little 9 inchers. Almost all of them were caught in a brushpile in about 15' of water. Tried the shallower brush with no luck. Used a small weighted bobber with a 1/32 ounce jig head with a Bobby Garland baby shad. Rajun Cajun, electric chicken, Blue Thunder, monkey milk, and white. Just pretty much cycled through those all day. No one bait was better than any other. Good luck !!!!!!!

  7. my brother has a video of some in Norfork from a dive trip... ill try to dig it up
  8. Started at daylight trolling some cranks at 1.7 mph. Water temp 79. 20 minutes into the morning i had a 17" walleye and a couple of twin 20 inchers. all caught in 25 feet of water. caught a couple of nice spots trolling and a yellow perch. My brother got me a double plopper for my birthday so i had to give it a try. 1st cast a big gar came up and nailed it, luckily he didnt get hooked. 3rd cast caught a little humpback bass, 5 th cast hooked a nice largemouth that came off, and i had one other blow up. All that was in 10 minutes worth of casting. It seems to be a decent bait. Kinda flimsy, the first fish bent all the wires real bad and i had to bend them back just right or the ploppers wouldnt plop. Also you kinda have to throw it and let it sit a second so it will right itself otherwise it will come back to ya upside down.......Good luck to all...............................
  9. I would blame Bill. So did you guys weigh your fish in? At least lie and say you won the tourny!!!
  10. Im gonna head out of Beaver at daylight and see what happens. Ill be in a red tracker if anyone sees me say hi
  11. Just got mine, they look great. Everything i got is actually stuff i will use. I got a mystery tacklebox in the mail the same day and i might as well throw all the stuff in it away. Thank you very much
  12. me too. i soak my neds like they are stink bait. that elaztec jiggles enough on its oiwn
  13. Report from the same day on Norfork. Must be cool to be in two places at once
  14. I read somewhere a while back that You still need to carry a regular coast guard approved PFD in your boat to be legal. Just having a few inflatables for everyone onboard isn't considered adequate
  15. Last year on FLW tour John Cox and his camera guy got thrown from the boat and neither one of their inflatable PFD's inflated like they were suppose to.
  16. Heck everytime i go "walleye fishing" i end up with everything but Walleye.. Check out that bait though it is like a deep diving square bill. Kinda expensive at BPS close to $9.. But they are reasonable on tacklewarehouse
  17. As always sorry for the sideways iPhone photos
  18. Took the old man down for some trolling. Started off the morning in 80 degree water. Caught a nice Largemouth right off the bat. should have been a 4+ fish but it was pretty skinny and i would guess around 3lb. Kept on trucking and of course a 17" walleye. Let him Go and trolled on to get a solid 20". Morning got real slow so we ran up to Barker and had no luck water temp still 80. Decided to ride up to the dam for the heck of it (needed a boat ride to cool off) not much wind to speak of. Water temp at the dam was 58, I was surprised how much it cooled down in that short distance... Anyhow ran back where we caught the Walleye and got anpother 20.5" and lost another that would have kept. We had three rods out 2 with flicker shads and flicker minnows and had no luck what so ever. The baith that caught every fish was a Luck-E-Strike Freak in the big version in the sexy shad color or whatever they call it at luck-e-strike. I would make one big long cas behind the boat and that was it. It would hit bottom in 21 feet so i kept the boat in 25-30 the whole day......Also found a small yellow perch belly up so i netted him. He was still breathing so i threw him in the well to see if i could revive him to let go. That didnt work so we made a couple fish nuggets out of him, hate to see one go to waste.
  19. I agree, i guess things could be worse and they could have told me ......tough luck
  20. Ask forum member (Ketchup) he had one done on his boat locally in the springfield area.
  21. To me the solution seems very simple. Dont allow a dead fish to be weighed in. That alone would pretty much fix the problem. Extra care would be taken to make sure the live well is clean and how people would treat a fish that might be deep hooked. I understand a bass can just die from the stress or what not but when people are bringing 2-3 fish in belly up and other guys are weighing in a healthy limit the problem is a little deeper.
  22. Talk to them at Falcon and they said for the Cara series it is $80 for a replacement. I guess that is better than $230
