HAHA i know man we had some miscommunication with your new new number... Next time we need to go together. I see you all the time but we never get to fish together..Im a rookie on stockton. Only been there a handful of times but it is definite a fish factory. If you can manage the wind it is an amazing lake, we only caught 3 fish the whole day that wouldnt have kept -
Put in at 6 am decided to do a little trolling with flicker shads. Water temp 82 and it stayed around there all day (its summer who cares anymore). Trolled in 30 fow caught crappie immediately. caught them in all depths of the water column. Adjusted depth with length of line out and speed...Key speed was 1.7. Caught them pretty consistently until my troller batteries died. A fuse on my onboard charger blew so i didnt get a good charge. I soon as i fired up the big motor and trolled only caught 1 more fish in 3 hours...I did have to go a little faster 2.0 -2.5 using the outboard...

Fish Identification; White, Striper, or hybrid?
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to rkbrowntrout78's topic in Table Rock Lake
Looks like a white, I have fished up in your neck of the woods before, we were on Spirit Lake, The guide told us during the summer Okaboji is a wild place. Very pretty lakes -
Only got to fish a couple hours, Started at 6:30 woke up a little late. Water Temp was 83. One keeper Spot right off the bat on a Bone colored Whopper Plopper. First time using it and it seems like such a fine tuned bait out of the package. I really think i missed the topwater bite. being an hour later than i had planned...I saw a lot of fish chasing on top but it quickly ended. So i threw the ned for the next hour, boat in about 30-35 fow. caught a lot of short smallies. Decided to throw a spoon around some deep docks with only one short smallie. Ended up getting a few decent fish flipping bushes and trees with a Missouri craw colored jig tipped with a rage bama craw... most of the bites were right on fairly big trees in 3-4 feet of water. I would post some pics but i think everyone knows what a 15" largemouth looks like...All the shallow fish were largemouth....I took out at about 10, wish i could have stayed longer but i had to get home for Baby duty...Also it was getting hot and the wakeboarders were coming out in full force...They tend to rock me pretty hard in my Tracker. Water temp was about the same when i took out...

Kinda a different experience, but i was diving norfork once. Im underwater. My brother is pretty much above me in the pontoon with dive flags all over it. Also a anchored flag 100 yards up and a 100 yards down stream. about the time i came up some dude comes rolling in as hard as his pontoon would go to ask my brother where the marine was or somthing to that nature. I came up to my brother flipping out on him. Which i think was 100% warranted. We could have surfaced anywhere in that stretch. Luckily we were about 20 yards away... The guys sped of and shook his head like we were the assholes. Being a diver, if i see a flag i always steer soooo far clear of the flag. no telling where the diver may be it is easy to get turned around down there....I think this was a case of a older guy getting a boat and not knowing the Laws of the water. but after the scolding my brother gave him, and asking him if he new what a dive flag looked like. I really bet he learned a lesson. So sometimes i think giving someone a piece of mind is good. Pulling in front of someone fishing is one thing, but when there are divers down it changes things. I think everyone should have to taker to boaters safety course .. I dont think age should have anything to do with it....I know most of us dont need it but i would be happy to take it to keep a few people from getting hurt or possibly killed...I have only dove for a few years but my bro said he has had this happen an awful lot.... . So now days when it is just the 2 of us instead of diving with a buddy like the book says to do, one of us usually stays on the boat and drift around and follow the bubbles of the diver. I feel a lot more comfortable doing it that way....The buddy diving never has made a lot of sense to me anyhow. When we both drop down with spearguns depending on the visibility, it is easy to lose your buddy and nothing makes your butt pucker like the sound of a speargun going off when you have lost your buddy

I actually have been talking to Travis a little bit, He ended up finding a smokin deal on a newer one

And that's exactly what I'm in is a 60 hp tracker. I'm sure if him or his son were in my little boat they would still dominate. One thing I guarantee is I don't burn as much fuel as them. Haha. I love my boat but it is for sale and I'm ready to get a bigger glass boat. I usually show up a little late so I'm the last one to leave because I'm gonna get passed regardless. First tourny I ever did out of there I finished in the money. It want much but made me feel great. And it was all smallies out of flat creek. I laughed because I have been a meat man catching crappie for Years out of flat and I have never once caught a Smallie. Lots of little largemouth on crappie stuff but never a small out. Then when I actually bass fished all I could catch was smallies. It was a blast

I got fourth a couple times so I don't feel to bad. Didn't really start bass fishing until last year. Usually half the field doesn't even weigh a fish.
-
Yep the Powers boys are the ones that win. They are darn good. As far as zooming by. I'm the guy in the 60hp tracker. It's more of a hummm. Haha. I still have fun competing with these guys though.

I think only 3 out of the 12 went south everyone else went the other way
-
Well I was the 2nd to last boat to leave and almost everybody went up towards point 15. I was the only one that went past piney. Hell I made it to mill creek. And I only ended up with 3. 2nd got I think a little over 14 lbs. and then the weights fell quick. Those guys that won. Seem to win about everytime I enter. They have that part of the lake dialed in. I think the big fish was 5 1/2.
-
Sunday before last it took over 16 lbs (4 fish limit) to win the derby out of cape. There are some good ones up there
-
What kind of reel was it. I have had two Lews reels do that to me. the boys at sportsman factory outlet made things right.

Not meaning to call any one dumb.....I just would love to take some die hard catch and release guys diving just so they would realize how many bass see their lures. and dont eat them...Just cuz they dont get caught doesnt mean they arent there....It really is amazing how many keeper bass there are in these lakes.granted i have plenty of crappie in the freezer and always release bass unless they are hooked bad....This topic is just nuts talking about deer compared to bass....You actualy have to out smart a bass. all you do with deer is hope the right one walks by you....I deer hunted one time, Shot one and am pretty much over it not much thought or challange. I understand harvesting big ones like Cody is into, it takes trail cams and figuring out their routine. If you have enough land i guess it changes things with the deer, but for the average hunter they pretty much shoot what walks by
-
Im eating one smallmouth for every dumb comment..Give it up boys geez. Put a mask and a tank on and tell me you dont see 10 bass for every other fish in table rock. This type of crap is why i migrate to Bull shoals during the summer...HAM is probably with me on this one
-
Rick can you please give us details? haha good job man.. I think i remmeber seeing you at Beaver Creek last winter, looked like you had a bubbler bucket on the deck...I was the guy in the red tracker trolling back and forth

I wish our smallmouth down here looked like that

WTB Aluminum Bass Boat
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to Travis Swift's topic in Buy - Sell - Trade
I'm will be selling my 2008 tracker175 txw. It's basically just like the one that was a Scam but in red. It will be a couple months though. I'm wanting to get enough saved up so when I sell mine I can get a new one at the same time. 60hp four stroke. Haven't had the hours checked but I'm guessing 150-200. hds7 at console With side and down scan, GPS and an avionics card. and a humminbird 597 DI GPS up front. 80lb motor guide xi5 troller. (GPS and remote Controlled). New Bluetooth stereo with USB port stereo. It is a 3 inch circle unit that perfectly fit in the speedometer hole. Alpine 6.5 marine speakers. Took out speedo because it has GPS. Speedo would still go with it if you want it back to factory. 3 new battery's this year and upgraded trolling motor wire to 6 gauge. Rod saver quick straps on the trailer. All pumps and everything work As should. PM if you would be interested in somthing like that. May sell earlier than in have planned in my head -

There was a 2013 Blue tracker on craigslist for $8000. it is a scam, if it looks to good to be true it probably is -
Last summer we shot a few decent channels and for some reason it was the nastiest fish i have ever eaten. I read somewhere that it could have been from them eating algae or somthing...Anybody have any clue?

Nice, We caught a 34lb flatty once in the KC area. Its in my profile pic. My brother used to dive around there a lot and he said that he saw twice as many flathead as we see in Bull Shoals
