  7. I'm going to try it this weekend, we might need the water to warm a couple more degrees.
  8. Straw Hat, is there a boat ramp at 39? I've never been that far down that side of the lake. Looks like it gets pretty skinny down there, looking at the map. Thanks in advance!
  9. I let them all go, only tried eating them once. I enjoy fishing for all fish! I'm a catch and release guy, most of the time. Keep what you can use and let the rest go!
  10. Thanks Straw Hat! I don't fish for bass much but I've caught alot last couple years. Alot of them have been previously caught to. They don't taste as good as them walleye & crappie!
  11. I put in at old state park 3wks ago, no problems. Not sure what the lake has done since then. To get there go south on 39 outside Stockton. Turn on 215, cross the lake and watch the signs. You turn right off 215. Good luck!
  12. Hopefully less water means less places for the fish to hide.
  13. I also had to get out of the house today! I put in at old state park, to stay out of the WIND. Fished for 3hrs, not a since fish. Better then setting on the couch!
  14. Thanks straw hat, great info! I'll be there tomorrow, going for some crappie.
  15. Good to hear the fish are biting again, I'll be back this weekend!
  16. Only 1 walleye today, but caught around 15 bass. All on a Flicker Shad, from the bank to 15ft. Most of them was around L1 point. Fished from 2-6pm, fun day!
  17. I went fishing yesterday, headed down past mutton trolled the flats. Then went down even further, didn't catch a single fish. I believe the lake is turning over, it just looks different. When do u think it will be finished? Will there be parts of the lake finished first? I'd like to get some fish in the freezer before it gets to cold. I also hope to run into u some day on the lake, I'll keep my eyes out for a straw hat! Thanks!
  18. Started fishing yesterday around 6pm,trolled until dark. Caught 3keeper walleye and 6 crappie. 20-25ft. I was happy for 2hrs of fishing. I found a spot holding fish and kept going over it.
  19. Tough day for me to! Fished from crabtree to 245bridge. Only a smallmouth, largemouth, and catfish. Was fishing for crappie /walleye! Beautiful day though.

  22. I just bought a old chevy truck with a slide in camper. I want to start leaving the truck & boat at stockton. Does anyone know if there's units that both would fit in, need about 40ft? This website is great, thanks all!
  23. I haven't been for a couple weeks now but dad and I have done great trolling since around first of May. We use the bass pro crappie cranks, deepest divers. They will run 18-20ft. We troll 1.5-2.0mph in around 25ft of water. Most days we've caught 15-20 crappie and a couple walleye. I'll be back this weekend. Good fishing!
  24. I can't hardly catch a crappie anymore casting at stockton. I remember using a jig and minnow and catching lots of them, maybe it's me though. I did catch 14 crappie today trolling, most between 6-8pm.good fish!
  25. That's a awesome story! I have a 4yr old, in couple weeks. I hope I can tell the same story soon! that's why we fish!
