    cool still putting my switch rod together slight setback with defective skagit line. Broke while I was stretching coils out first time. replacement on it's way

    Met up with Nathatn, Eric and Duane by boat ramp today to try my hand a skagit casting. Belive I am hooked so more stuff to buy. Nathan is great teacher and explained the ins and outs of skagit snap T cast and few others. Actually made a few decent cast in the wind. Reallly believe this technique will open up more fishing when generation is taking place. Can't wait to get my outfit put together and get back down when water is running. Jack

    I have a float n fly kit that Charlie Nuckols sold about 10 years age around east Tnn lakes. Trying to attach pictures of directions if that will help anyone.

    ok I found rio versi tip on amazon for $99 so might get that in 485 then just shotting head in 425 Jack

    Hey Matt chart says 425 gr for 7wt will 485 work better for brginner? What is your rod length?

    Cool will check it out have a rio versi system for my one handed rod like it.

    I've found that it help to let jig sink in water on back cast. Help load the rod almost like a fly rod cast. Then lob it out there, little hard in wind. I can cast about 10 feet under bobber with 7 1/2 foot rod.

    Hey guys ordered the conversion for my TFO and new reel is coming too. Just have to get a line and be ready to go. Migth go with that line you have Matt.

    I noticed crappie seem to boune the bobber while a bass just pulls it under. Oh and drum seem to like it too!!!! Good technique for cold water thought

    I like those PJ jig heads, thought I saw them at Hook, line and sinker the other day. Southtown had more choices but HLS might be closer to some
