Nice report. Sounds like a fun day. Wish I was better with a spoon. Never seem to be able to get them to bite a spoon. No problem finding them just a problem catching them with the spoon.
When everything you do works. When every move leads to a spot that produces, every presentation works, each cast lands perfectly, your hook sets are rock solid, boat position is precise, and it always helps when your partner don't miss with the net.
Not a fan of it. But is it just me or has anyone else been finding A-Rigs with the low lake level?
Ive found 4 rigs in the last couple trips I've made to the lake.
Sounds like last Saturday was kind of rough on everyone. My dad and I had a limit, but all 5 were barely line touchers. Thank goodness the wind picked up enough for about a hour and a half and the wart bite turned on. Other than that it was really tough.
Drew I have several Falcon Lowriders and absolutely love them. IMO you cant go wrong with a Falcon. I do not have that particular rod you are looking at but I'm sure it will perform just as well as the others.
An under armour top and bottom with a hoodie and a pair of jeans under my Bass Pro goretex pro-qualifier bibs and jacket and I'm good all day no matter how cold it is.
Bass Pro and most marine shops carry them. I dont believe the lakemaster chip has been out for too long. Just looking for a little feedback hoping someone had one and could compare it to the navionics card.
Jerry I'm with French on this one. I've found that the endless ways to RIG a tube is what makes it such a fish producing bait. As I previously said I prefer to throw a jig but always have a couple rods with tubes rigged differently in case things get tough. I know I can always get bites on a tube but its not always rigged the same way.
My personal preference would be the jig but I always have a tube rigged up and ready to go. The tube is a tried and true follow up bait and I've caught way too many fish on follow up casts using a tube. It's versatility makes it one fun bait to fish.
I had several of the STX's when they first came out and it was hit and miss for me. The majority of them I had no problem with but a few I did have issues with the split rings. Regardless I still like the LC Pointers and Megabass better.
I have 2 Mojo rods that have only been used a few times and are in great condition. One spinning rod and one casting rod. The spinning rod is a 7' med. action grub and tube rod. The casting rod is a 7' med. heavy action spinnerbait rod. $50 a rod. PM me if interested.
Does anyone know if you have to get tickets to attend the weigh-ins each day of the classi? I checked the Tulsa convention center website but was not able to purchase tickets. So just curious if tickets are even needed? or can you just show up and get in?
