  1. I have been back there at different water levels and there are trees everywhere. I run to the ramp and cut left towards the channel bank...I always idle once i get to that bank where the trees start
  2. Mhyde, thank you very much...that gives me a great starting point! The 2 areas you circled where spots on my navionics map that looked like dangerous areas. Thanks again...i will definitely proceed with caution my first few trips up there until I get a good grasp on it.
  3. Little sac is definitely the area I don’t know very well. Started to explore up there today in Turkey creek...mostly trying to figure out what is safe run. I ran into turkey and shut it down where you see some timber out in the middle where the road bed is...didn’t idle all the way back to the bridge cuz a boat was on it...seemed clear on side scan but not sure. How far can you run back into turkey? Secondly, wanting to explore towards aldrich as well...have ran to areas around that ramp (high point)...but not past there. Is it safe to run all the way to aldrich bridge or are there areas you need to idle through. Thanks for any advice..I greatly appreciate it.
  4. I will be down Saturday and Sunday to find out!
  5. Hey Travis, sorry about the fuel leak...good thing is you didn’t miss much during the morning...it was pretty slow for me anyway until 10-11am. Good luck next weekend...I will be down again Saturday and Sunday staying at Orleans Trail. Looking like a nice warm weekend...should be good fishing!!
  6. Put in at Old State Park around 7:30am...water was definitely stained at the ramp. Ran to clean water which started at mile long bridge...started down by the darn with a jerkbait and it was pretty slow for the first couple hours...water was around 44 deg. Moved to around mile long bridge and started fishing secondary points and started catching fish...they were definitely stacked on some steeper points...would catch 3-5 fish on each point that had bigger rock and a drop off. Decided to run up to sons creek and the water was dirty running up there...it cleared a little bit in sons but still stained up by power line cove. Did catch a couple shorts up there on a rock crawler but wasn’t feeling it and ran back down to cleaner water. Ended with a rough total of 20 bass with 6 keepers...nothing big just basic 15-16” fish. Almost all caught on jerkbaits with a couple on rock crawler. Got off the water around 4:30...water had warmed to 46 deg. Found 49 deg water in the dirty water.

  8. Robins Resort has a special all winter long...$99 per night for a 1,2, or 3 bedroom condo. Great place on the water by the grand glaize bridge. Nice condos and super nice owners. Check it out next time.
  9. I did...new to me anyway. 04 skeeter with a newer SHO. White/Black/Grey in color. Trying to get use to it and getting everything set up to my liking...only 2nd time out in it.
  10. Got down here later than planned but got out for a hour or so. Put in at state park marina and stayed close by...water was 45-46 deg. Fished a couple secondary points with rock changes. Caught just one fat 16” keeper on a jerkbait. Had the new pup with me...seem to take up more of my time but he did well for his first time on the boat. Will have a full day tomorrow...it seems promising from what I saw today. Plan to fish mainlake first part of the day and then head up big sac to see what the water looks like up there
  11. I plan to be out there tomorrow...heard water temps were mid 40’s and up. I will be focusing on secondary points and channel swings in the middle to back of creek arms. Will try clearer water first and then moving to stained water after it warms up in the afternoon.
  12. That is the Raurk Bluff ramp.
  13. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to get on the water the past couple months due to a blown lower unit and work being crazy busy. That is about to change here in a couple weeks when I get my new motor put on the boat! By the first of February I will be back out there to get after that jerkbait bite!
  14. Nice job...bigger smallies have definitely been more prominent this year! This is my favorite time of the year to fish Stockton...went Sunday for a few hours and left once the wind shifted heavy out of the north. Fished around chicken rock area and still found a decent topwater and finesse jig bite. Spinnerbait bite is still not there yet...hopefully that picks up here soon!
  15. Did that last night and been good ever since. Thanks!!
  16. It happens on my iphone on this site constantly. Its happened twice in the last few minutes
  17. Thanks for sharing...planning to be down there camping that weekend...may have to come participate in this event
  18. This Friday...i plan to be there
  19. Show up, pay and fish. I think he is there around 5pm to start taking entries. Can't wait for the first one...always a good time!
  20. Hey Skeeter, thanks for stopping by and saying hi...it was nice to meet you. I got on the water at 6am to try and beat the 200 boats in the high school tournament. Water was 59 by the darn...threw a frog and sbait in the flooded brush/trees with no luck. Was marking fish in 15 fow over the old shoreline so i pick up a jerkbait and started paralleling the bank and quickly caught a smallie, 2 whites and a crappie. Ran down by state park marina and fished a rock pile that was now in 15-18 fow and caught a couple small spots. Went back to OT to pick up the family as it was finally warming up. Headed towards the mile long bridge and started fishing points...we fished the old shoreline in 15-20 fow...my 10 year olds first cast with the ned rig produced a fat smallie close to 3 lbs (she thought she was snagged) . She caught another one over 2lbs...both were fat prespawn fish. I finally caught a keeper largemouth on a 3/4 oz wobblehead. Beautiful day on the water!!
  21. I plan to go this weekend and will be fishing the mainlake. I plan to start around the flooded bushes with sbait, crankbait, topwater and some flipping. If that doesn't work I will work the outside edges of the bushes with c-rig, shakyhead and the wobble head. If history repeats itself they should be in the bushes! Good luck!! I'm staying at Orleans Trail hotel...you see a white/teal Skeeter say hi.
  22. Thanks guys...what about around hurricane deck area?
  23. Are there any marinas around the mouth of the glaize arm that are open and selling gas? Down all next week and prefer to not pull the boat out to get gas if possible. thanks, Jeremy
  24. I will second Bob Bennett...good guy and will put you on fish for sure
  25. Shawnee bend ramp...its about 3-4 miles to the mouth of the gravois...closest one i know of
