    Hope you are heading back to a slip. The ramps will be quite the sight. Kudos for getting out in this stuff, you are better at tolerating the cold than I am. Used to not worry about it all that much. But those days are gone. Now my extremities suffer.

    There are houses across from the Fall Creek Resort and dock but they are all below the mouth of Fall Creek. You and the grandkids will be fine. The area you are talking about is very nice.

    Above the mouth of Fall Creek there are special regulations for methods and possession. It's the trophy area now. Get on the MDC site for specifics. I know that area very well and there aren't any houses directly across the river from Fall Creek that are above the mouth.

    I'm glad I didn't catch that fish. My heart probably wouldn't have taken it, and if it did, all my friends would soon hate me because I would never shut up about it.

Put me in mind of a long gone dog that belonged to a friend of mine, But she was lemon and white. Still...

    Nice fish and I get it. But me being dog man and all. Your companion is fine. Springer, Setter or Brittany can't really tell from the photo. But can tell the dog is a boat dog.

    That's a good buy. A really nice boat. If I didn't have a Shawnee that is very similar, I would be tempted. A very good buy for anyone looking for that kind of rig.

    So how do they reproduce in the salt? Not a smarty pants question. Just wonder how that works if it's all that difficult in fresh water.

    Thanks for another trout recipe, I think I will give that a whirl. Glad you had a fun and safe trip. I've only fished Meramec a few times but liked it when I did. The history there is way cool.
